I met Camilla @ Nordic for a long term apartment rental in Hørsholm. She was prompt, professional and very responsive during our communications and although I was waitlisted for the place, she stayed in touch with me and I eventually got the lease and contract. Further communications with Ann at Nordic has also been professional, prompt and helpful. While I havent got the property yet (I move in a month or so) or interacted with the owner directly, I hope my move in, stay and efforts at getting my deposit returned by the owner (when i move out in the future) will remain positive.

We rented a villa in Hellerup through Nordic Housing and wanted to share our experience. I would like to split this up in three sections, pre rental and contracting, during the rental period and finally check out and closure. The initial dealings we had with Nordic Housing was positive, Camilla and her team were helpful and responsive, we were very happy here and this is why we don’t give them the lowest possible rating. During the rental period, we had numerous issues with the house, a beautiful old brick villa in a nice Copenhagen suburb. In short, it often took Nordic Housing days, and sometimes even weeks to reply to our concerns, and these were not about petty things, for example the heating stopped working, the stove caught fire, we had power problems with overheated conductors etc. It left us without a functional kitchen for weeks and suffering through a very cold winter. We finally got hold directly of the owner of the house, who lived abroad and dealt with them separately. Without this connection I am quite sure we would have had to wait longer for any support from Nordic Housing. A service staff named Mikkel eventually came, and whilst not being able to make repairs, and whilst on occasions reeking of alcohol was able to confirm our complaints and finally call for professional plumbers and electricians to sort out the problems. Not only was this time consuming and frustrating, but also annoying and the lack of respect from Nordic Housing towards customers surprising. Finally, during checkout, we were told that, despite having spent over 10.000 DKK on a professional cleaning service to do the move out clean, that it was not done up to standard and additional charges would be made to our deposit. Whilst questioning this, as the house was not clean (there was even food in the oven when we moved in) the reply we received from their representative was simply, you can also leave food in the oven, but you need to repolish the glass top of the stove and this will cost you extra. In the end, we saw little of our 10.000 USD deposit, after numerous complaints and irritated calls, we understood that Danish law on this subject is weak enough for a company like Nordic Housing to take advantage and keep most of the deposit paid (in our case three months rent. All in all, our experience with Nordic Housing was not a great one, and whilst we are not sure if other rental companies in Copenhagen are any better, we felt we owed other fellow diplomats and expats to learn from our experience. After renting through Nordic Housing for a few years, our trust in the companys ability to look after our needs and respond to us when we need them are close to zero. It often took several weeks and numerous reminders to get any response during the rental period. We are experienced expats, this is not our first overseas posting, but it is our first review on trustpilot as we are simply appalled by the service (not) provided. One final item to mention could be that we noticed that several of the positive reviews the company has received online, indeed belongs to staff working at Nordic housing, even the CEO himself has given his own business thumbs up a d stars. Storbyferie med egen lejlighed er bare sagen. Har netop tilbragt weekenden i hjertet af København, med alt det vi alle har savnet lige uden for døren. Selv et parkeringshus 2 minutter fra døren. Og med mulighed for venner forbi til en drink i solen på tagterrassen, morgen mad hentet hjem fra bageren om hjørnet eller middag under åben himmel på torvet. Alt er muligt og frem for alt totalt afstressende uden hotellernes evindelige presserende puls. Let at booke og komme til. Hello! We just moved to Copenhagen from Portland, Oregon. Moving abroad during the time of Covid was challenging and we were looking to find a furnished apartment in a great neighborhood for our first year before we flew over. We were lucky to be connected to Nordic Housing & Søren Borup Wedege, an associate of the firm. Søren was fantastic and a true partner in our search. We gave him clear parameters for our search and he responded with thoughtful matches that met our needs exactly and provided variety. We almost couldn’t decide. He went truly above and beyond as we were overseas, documenting video tours with captions so we got the full experience. He gave us great perspective and answers on each as we asked questions and reviewed options. Once we chose the apartment, he helped us through the lease process and every question. He was always available and responsive on WhatsApp and gave us great confidence that we were in good hands. It was the most successful and seamless process and we truly hope to reach out to him again once our year is up and we will look for a new unfurnished apartment. When you are moving abroad, it feels complicated and overwhelming; Søren took that away and made this a fun and exciting experience and made our lives much easier. I have lived in furnished apartments in many countries around the globe for working reasons. NH (Bailee and the whole team) has been very supportive in organizing my move to Denmark during COVID times (helping with directions, delivery of groceries, flexibility with move in and move out date...). Upon my arrival all questions and emails have been answered immediately. All concerns have been addressed to my full satisfaction.
