United Kingdom | 08 July 2024I went to view/test drive a car on Saturday 29th June in the Swansea showroom. Mark was incredibly helpful and I decided to go ahead with the purchase and Mark helped set up the finance. As I live in Caerphilly and the car I was trading in no longer had an MOT Mark said it would be no problem at all to pick up the new car and trade in the old car at the Cardiff branch (much closer to home) on Saturday 6th July. Mark phoned on Tuesday and confirmed this would still be ok to go ahead. Then, on Friday, I get a phone call from Mark to inform that although I can drop the old car at Cardiff branch, I wouldn't be able to pick up the new car from there, I'll have to drive all the way to the Swansea branch to collect. Desperate for my new car, I say this isn't a problem and I'll work this out. Saturday morning I drop the old car to the Cardiff branch who were very nice, but then get told "it would have been much easier for you to pick the new car up from here too". I advise that I was told that wasn't possible from the Swansea branch and the reply is "yeah that's possible, why did they tell you it wasn't?" At this point it's too late and off we go to Swansea to collect the new car. When we arrive, Brandon does the hand over but doesn't seem to have anything ready. I'm told Mark has my folder with all the documents. The spare key isn't even at the showroom and they say I can pop back to pick it up when it arrives from the Bridgend showroom. I tell them I don't live locally and I'm told it will be posted. There may also be other paperwork I need to sign, but Brandon isn't sure and if there is anything, I can "probably sign it digitally when Mark is back in on Monday". I'm handed the keys and basically told I can go. Then as I leave I ask why the Cardiff branch told me it was possible to pick the car up from them and I'm told again no it's not possible because they're separate entities (but it's ok for me to drop my car there and for another branch again to have the spare key) and that the Cardiff branch should not have told me it was possible as it's absolutely not. Then Brandon said "well I've only done it like that once in the past as a favour", which again proves it was possible. Overall it felt like as soon as they had the car sold the customer service went out the window and they didn't want to help me. Not only did I take time away from a very busy Saturday, I also spent money on fuel driving around South Wales when ultimately I didn't need to. This was not a great experience and it makes me reluctant to use Nataniel Cars again in future. At the start everyone seemed very helpful but the disorganisation has left me feeling disappointed.

They gave me the best deal straight away no haggling, in fact it was the best deal in the South West from MG!
