United States | 24 May 2023My permissions to delete my genome files were removed. Sequencing will not fix the issue or delete the individual files. Based on this issue alone their claim that they are compliant with consumer data protection laws is false. I do not recommend this site.

Sweden | 18 May 2023Just got my first health scan results and let me tell you, it’s mind blowing. This makes getting my genome sequenced so worth it. Seriously, if you’re into knowing more about your health and like keeping up with the latest science, you’re gonna love this. Here’s the deal - once your genome is all sequenced up, health scan keeps an eye on the newest scientific research that’s related to your genes. I now have my own health bodyguard! And the best part? It’s super easy to use. I’m no tech whiz, but I got the hang of it in no time. They’ve got this simple interface and the updates are even color coded based on how relevant they are to my health. They just made health scan available and it has already alerted me about research that was published last week (last week!!!) that is important for me to know about because it’s about my risk for a disease related to a change I have in a gene. I would have never known about this and i found out within a week of the study being published. It is really that valuable. I feel a lot safer now that i know health scan is always going through all the new research and alerting me whenever there is something I should know about. If you’re keen on staying ahead of the curve when it comes to your health, you gotta give this a try.

United States | 18 May 2023My issue is related to the lack of support from the Sequencing.com customer service in resolving two-factor authentication issues. I setup 2FA using my old phone and an authentication app, so when I upgraded to a new phone I changed all my other accounts to the new phones 2FA authentication app without issue, all except for Sequencing.com. Customer service has been relatively polite but uncooperative. They refuse to change the 2FA to my email or phone. I mean come on, I'm already logging in to my account. I'm clearly who I say I am. Why wouldn't I be able to use my phone or email to authenticate my login versus an app like every other company I deal with. This makes no sense and I have had zero help on this issue. Their solution is for me to take a picture of myself, holding a passport or government ID, and provide a copy of my utility bill. This is not acceptable. This is very personal PII and can be used in a variety of very malicious ways to create new accounts or falsify my id, and even with the "assurance" that they won't keep this information I would never just email this to a random company. They are not a bank. They are not the federal government and I am not applying for a freaking security clearance. They have no right to request this information. The information they request is completely beyond acceptable for simply changing a 2FA login to something else like my phone number or email when I ALREADY HAVE ACCESS TO THE ACCOUNT. I am who I say I am. I logged in using my old phone's 2FA app for crying out loud. This makes no sense. ====================== In response to Sequencing.com's reply below, this issue started due to there not being an option to disable 2FA on my Sequencing.com account. When I reached out to customer service I got absolutely no help solving what should have been a quick and simple fix. ≈======================== Update May 31, 2023. A manager has reached out and engaged their engineers to resolve the 2FA issue. They explained this should have never been an issue and I feel this has been adequately addressed. I'm changing my 1 star review to only 4 stars and not 5 stars due to the very frustrating and argumentative help desk employee who refused to help in the first place which required me to escalate the issue to management and I still had to post a 1 star review online just to get their attention.

United States | 18 May 2023I bought 3 kits, 2 for my medically complex children and 1 for myself and honestly I was dreading that I would regret it the entire time but I couldn't be more pleased. It was worth every penny. The process went quicker than each step showed. They were easy to reach and quick to respond. The reports are thorough and easy to understand. And most importantly I got much needed answers 💜 I recommend it at every opportunity.

He is an absolute pleasure. I am doing allot of research about rare diseases that run in my family and so my questions are very unique. Especially since my sister just passed away from a rare disease that runs in families. I require detailed explainations to better understand how to interpret the data. I am sharing the website with friends and family so they to can see the benefits of understanding their risks for certain diseases and take steps to improve their life and maybe decrease their risks of actually getting the diseases. Logan helped me understand how the company handles new data and lab results when they are available about new illnesses. It has been a pleasure emailing and speaking to the incredbile staff at Sequencing.com.

United States | 06 May 2023Privacy matters to me. Sequencing is so different than the other programs out there. Only I own the data. I can choose to share w/my doctor, or not. Sequencing is also complete and comprehensive. I would not have known I have a life-threatening condition called Malignant Hyperthermia. It can easily be avoided if the doctors are aware, so I’ve printed it on the front of my insurance card in red marker.

Canada | 03 May 2023I did not receive what I have purchased - I purchased a whole DNA testing and I did not receive the results. The reports are not accessible and I do not see the columns. Vendor did not inform me prior to the purchase that I will need to pay extra money - in addition to the advertised price - in order to access the results. This is pure false advertising.

United States | 21 April 2023The collection process was simple. The kit had clear instructions about swabbing the inside of my mouth. The kit arrived quickly, and I could track the progress of my sequencing through their customer portal. Sequencing takes weeks to months, but the customer portal will send emails as the DNA through the different stages. When I had questions, a friendly support person returned my call or email on the same business day. I am thrilled with the first set of results. I have an undiagnosed rare disease and I am hopeful the DNA sequencing kit will show some areas of discussion with my doctor. The wellness report was spot-on regarding health considerations. The portal has other health reports and even ancestry reports you can get after they sequence your DNA. It's a great one-stop shopping solution. They have easy-to-read reports for customers and also reports you can share with your PCP or other specialists. One of the unexpected surprises in my wellness report was a list of drugs that I might not tolerate because of my genetic profile. This is definitely something worth looking at if you have questions about statins, aspirin, warfarin, and even some chemo drugs.

He took time I’m sure he didn’t have, to address every concern and provide solutions-both immediately and in the future-to ensure we were satisfied with the results.
