United Kingdom | 24 August 2023Shocking customer service department. I have called on five separate occasions and have been assured that I would get a call back each time but this has never happened. We are a charity and I have on numerous times told Pure Utilities that our landlord is liable for the waste and water, not us. Our landlord has also contacted them about this. We are now also getting legal letters. Very stressful and they have no interest in sorting the issue out. Avoid at all costs!

United Kingdom | 09 August 2023Watson Memorial Bowling Club members recently took over the clubhouse lease from the Local Council. Responsibility for the bowling green area still lay with the Council. Water used to maintain the bowling green was far far more than used by the members in the clubhouse. I contacted Jenny Carthy who calmly explained what forms had to be completed and she took charge of this situation resulting in an excellent conclusion for our bowling club. Our sincere thanks to Jenny for the calmness and very efficient manner in which she dealt with the situation.

United Kingdom | 14 July 2023Unethical Business - Avoid at all costs! I am the owner of a small business in Scotland, and I have had the misfortune of dealing with Pure Utilities. Let me tell you, they are an absolutely despicable company that you should stay far away from. Last year, out of the blue, I started receiving letters and emails from Pure Utilities, claiming that they were my water and drainage provider and demanding monthly payments for their services. The problem? I had never contacted them or even heard of them before. Naturally, I contacted my actual water and drainage provider, Everflow, to clarify the situation. They assured me that I was still their valued customer and that this must be an administrative error. Armed with this information, I promptly responded to Pure Utilities, informing them of their mistake and providing evidence of my ongoing partnership with Everflow. I even went so far as to send them a screenshot displaying my account details with Everflow. However, to my dismay, Pure Utilities continued to harass me relentlessly with their relentless stream of demand letters. I contacted them and like an Idiot I paid the bill for £80 saying that is all I needed to pay. They even had the audacity to send me a bill with a surcharge and interest for not paying the bill on time. Their actions and lack of professionalism are beyond reprehensible. Pure Utilities exemplifies the profile of a deceitful and unscrupulous organization. They engage in extortion-like tactics, threatening individuals and businesses with debt collection agencies if they refuse to pay for services that were never provided in the first place. This company tarnishes the reputation of genuine water providers, and it sickens me to witness their unethical behaviour. I implore you, dear reader, to steer clear of this wretched company. If I had the opportunity to rate them, I would not hesitate to give them a resounding zero out of five. They have proven time and time again that they are not worthy of anyone's trust or patronage. In response to Pure Utilities' dismissive reply... I did everything in my power to rectify this situation. I submitted all the necessary information to your customer services section, desperately hoping for a resolution. Yet, you callously ignored every piece of evidence I provided. You turned a blind eye to the fact that I already had a water and drainage provider. You disregarded the truth and to add insult to injury, you continue to bill me for a premises I had already paid you the unsolicited bill for. It is abundantly clear that your objective is to harass and exploit unsuspecting individuals and businesses, abusing the authority granted to you by the Water Authority. Your relentless pursuit of payment for a service you never rendered is nothing short of despicable. Your feeble attempts to appear reasonable on this public forum only further expose your true nature. I see through your façade of compassion and care, as it is nothing but a hollow act to salvage your tarnished reputation. Don't be fooled by their empty promises, as I have been. Countless others who have voiced their dissatisfaction with your company have received the same run-of-the-mill responses: "We'll look into this," "We need more information," "This isn't what we want for our customers." Well, let me make it clear: I am not, nor have I ever been, your customer, and I never will be. Pure Utilities, your actions have caused immeasurable frustration and distress. Your lack of integrity and accountability will not go unnoticed. It is my hope that others heed this warning and spare themselves the torment of dealing with your deceitful practices. If you need to contact me regarding this please call 07725196950 or you can email enquiries (at) amazingplaces.uk

United Kingdom | 10 June 2023I expected to be kept waiting as is so often the case when you try to contact a service provider. No waiting here. A prompt response to my call. Samantha , who answered, was pleasant, professional and had my problem sorted in moments. The whole experience lasted less than five minutes. Why can’t all providers be like this. Bravo !

United Kingdom | 20 May 2023Had some issues initially, as the charity I volunteer for was being invoiced for water and sewage charges that we believed we were exempt from . Once our complaint was escalated, Pure Utilities contacted Scottish water and resolved this for us. Thank you for sorting this

United Kingdom | 17 May 2023Scammers!!! Scamming by trawling council small business rate relief database and other sources to find companies that MAY have a water supply but is part if another address. Especially good territory is Airbnb and self-catering where they say you now have a contract with them for this supply though it may be part of a house already paying water utilities. Letter says I am under contract with them but I have never heard from my actual water board who I pay for this. How can it be the case that vast additional sums are owed for an account that did not exist before? It sounds like a scam like the one from a while back when a law firm wrote to every small hotel and b&b on databases saying that fees for music licenses were due because they assumed dvds and cds we're available there. They too threatened legal actions. Unless the water board informs me that pure utilities act on their behalf and agree that with you avoid. Judging by some of the reviews I think some have been scammed. Talk to your water board.

United Kingdom | 12 May 2023Callum Mcarthy and Debbie were very helpful and efficient. It was so nice to talk to someone easily on the phone and email and for them to be polite and helpful. They sorted a new cheaper contract for my water supply and it was all very stress free. They tried to put a meter in but wasn’t possible. Still think I’m paying too much for water for a small flat that is often empty but at least the service was nice!! Many thanks, Louise

United Kingdom | 28 April 2023Excellent service from the accounts department. Prompt response was made to my emails. Special thanks to Peter Walczak who went over and beyond to give excellent service. Keep up the good work Peter!

United Kingdom | 21 April 2023Genuinely shocking experience with Pure Utilities. Not recommended in any circumstances. Apparently I was made subject to a deemed contract for a holiday let property. No communication was ever received - despite me confirming the correct contact details - until debt was allegedly owed. No invoice has ever been received. They accept that on their own case I am not now a customer, yet continue to send notices for allegedly overdue invoices (never the actual invoices!) and debt recovery charges, and even instructed Shoosmiths to send a letter threatening to cut off the water supply for a property in respect of which they accept another water company is the supplier. They have acted in breach of s5A of the Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998; they have no debt that can lawfully be pursued within s4 of the same Act; and they have acted in breach of WICS' requirements under their licence; yet still they persist. They have ignored my request to send me proof of the alleged debt, how it was calculated, and any invoices, and just continue to harass for the alleged debt.

United Kingdom | 13 April 2023A very helpful company when I had some difficulty resolving conflicting advice I had received about registering a water supply for a holiday caravan. Particular thanks to Debbie Harrop who showed great patience and understanding over a number of emails back and forth until we were able to finally resolve matters.

United Kingdom | 16 March 2023The team dealt with an issue in a very professional manner. They showed patience and went out their way to work to a conclusion that suited all parties. This relates to a mistake from another supplier and I was happy to transfer all water water supplies to this company as a result.

United Kingdom | 08 March 2023I own a small business in Scotland and up until the end of September last year was in a yard which has Scottish Water Business Stream as my Water and Drainage provider. Then from no where I start receiving letters and emails from Pure Utilities stating that they are my water and drainage provider and that I owe them a monthly payment for this service. I had never contacted them or knew anything about them. I checked with Scottish Water and they confirmed that I was still their customer and that there must be an admin error. I replied to Pure Utilities advising them that they had made a mistake and that I was a customer of Scottish Water Business stream. I sent them a copy of a screen shot showing my account with Scottish Water. They have continued to harass me with letters demanding payment. They then tried to suggest that a shipping container I used in my yard had a water and drainage connection. I sent a photo of the inside and outside of the container to show that it did not. Despite this they have continued to send letter and demands. Due to the growth of my business I needed a larger site and moved out at the end of September 2022. I informed Scottish Water and got a new water and drainage provider of his site. However, Pure Utilities and still sending me demands for monthly payments for my last address and for the container which I sold in September before moving. They are a despicable company without any sense and the type of company that gives genuine water providers a bad name. They fit the profile of a scamming organisation, demanding monies with the threat of debt collecting agencies. Do not do business with this company, if I could give them zero out of five I would have. In response to the reply to from Pure Utilities... I did submit all the information to your customer services section and they completely ignored everything, the fact we already had a water and drainage provider, the fact that the container didn't have a water or drainage supply, the fact I had actually moved out of that premises for which you are still billing me for. Your aim is to harass and use the power given to you by a Water Authority to force people and companies into paying you for a service you didn't provide and that's what makes you a despicable company. The only reason you are trying to be reasonable now is because its on this public forum and your trying to act like a compassionate and caring organisation, but if you look at the response to everyone else that's posted negative comments, its the same rubbish response 'We'll look into this' 'need more information', 'not what we want for our customers' but I'm not your customer and never was and never will be!

United Kingdom | 14 February 2023Only gave 1 star as zero stars was not an option. Been continually getting bills and debt letters for a property the Charity I deal with no connection with. Tried to deal with it by telephone and got no where then yesterday I received a lawyer letter. They set up a 'deemed' contract, failed to arrange for a meter to be fitted probably so they can charge more and even though they have been informed the charity is not the ratepayer continue to send letters and bills to them. Joke of a company, anyone on a deemed contract or thinking of joining them do yourself a favour and find another supplier as they are one of the most incompetent companies I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
