On the same day we created the account, we uploaded the Airway bill that shows the country of origin, type of goods, weight, etc. Since then, we have exchanged many emails, followed by submitting another document. So now the goods are in the customs warehouse and subject to significant storage fees ($1250/day), and this broker pulls out the deal because of the country of origin. So here is the question: If you are competent in this business when you first see the Airway bill, why don't you look at the descriptions to see if it is a good fit for you despite wasting such valuable time with your client? My advice to readers is to go with the local custom brokers that make a living out of it and are genuinely willing to help you in the most difficult time than this tech-backed company like clearit.

Canada | 27 April 2022It was very easy to set everything up online and things started off smoothly and I was very satisfied. Then I had a couple very important and urgent questions because I had 2 additional packaged coming in from the same company that were originally on back order and they were going to be added to the pickup by the transport company. I emailed 3 separate times telling them this and asking if I could add it to the existing customs ticket or of I had to do up another one and I also sent the second invoice. I never received any replies from them and the transport company has it scheduled to pick up at the border tomorrow. This makes it very stressful as I don't know of the transport company is going to have issues. Of they have issues, I know I will be paying for the transport company to return a second time and then make a second delivery, which will cost me $380 more than if they were picked up and delivered together. I don't understand why after 3 emails I could not get any reply. There is a lot of planning that goes into the shipping of a package to the border to a storage company and then having a transport truck pick it up from the border to get it delivered and customs clearance company should be making sure they communicate effectively since they are the lynch pin than can cause everything fall apart. So after a great start, they definitely dropped the ball hard in the end

Just emailed the shipper for some shipment information, provided it to ClearIt, and that's it. Didn't have to worry about anything else. Once the package arrived at the border, the deliverers contacted ClearIt, they cleared it, and the package arrived at my home without me having to do anything whatsoever. I thought this would be much more of a hassle. Plus the service is incredibly well priced. 10/10 service for me, completely seamless experience. Well done!

I asked for guidance on what was needed and reassured things were situated when they really weren't. It was an expensive lesson to learn on my end. Eventually got the paperwork sorted, but it was a challenge.
