What an amazing coach driver and lovely wife (Simon and Sammy), we’ve just returned from a eurodisney break and they were absolutely wonderful, they are so helpful and the driver was really funny, felt really safe on the coach and that was because of how attentive they were, thank you so much Anita and Maddie seat numbers 5/6 xxx

Second time travelling with Gold Crest Holidays and would not chose anyone else for a coach holiday. Everything from start to finish was spot on, drivers were fantastic and friendly and always making entertainment between them for everyone on board which the kids loved, films played and music to suit all. Gold crest made everything so easy for me and nothing was ever too much trouble when I needed my questions answered beforehand. Thanks as always gold crest!

Myself and a friend booked to see Andre Reiu in Maastricht for July 14th . We chose Gold Crest as we were told at the time of booking that we would get on our Luxury Coach at Temple Meads station Bristol at 7.30 . However when the details arrived it was changed to going to the bus station at 6.10 to catch the national express bus . I phoned them immediately as I was not happy with this ,only to be told “ it’s in the terms and conditions “ . My argument was this should have been actually mentioned at the time of booking ,by spoken word rather than small print .This was done for their benefit and to save money. My main concern was out of anxiety, for myself and my friend who has had serious health problems . There was no reassurance, and was told it only takes 2mins from Victoria to Green line bus station,I can assure you when you are pulling a suitcase and not fit as a fiddle it takes longer ,plus it’s very busy in London. Our next coach was due to arrive at 10.30 ,but didn’t arrive till gone 11, we were then taken to Medway for our coach to go to Maastricht . Our coach driver was Adrian of Red rose coaches , he was a very good driver and everyone agreed he was very helpful,a credit to his company Red Rose Coaches. We stayed in the Thon Hotel Brussels ,this was alright . Breakfast ok . Lady on reception on first night was not happy and there were no other staff to help ,which made her more unfriendly. Seeing the concert was spectacular, It’s amazing and go if you ever get the chance .we were lucky with the weather. We did get held up on the ferry for hours on the way back ,which meant we got back at 2am ,I can’t blame gold crest for that ,but there was no pre warning .But would I book with Gold Crest again ? The answer is No ! They do not mention in the brochure about having to catch a bus ! They luxury coach description is not accurate . Also when I emailed them about my concerns before we left ,basically they did not care ! They accused me of contacting Trading Standards ,before them ,which was not true .I did after getting nowhere on the phone to them. No empathy once they have your money .Not the caring family firm they boast about .

Having been ill for the past few years, I wasn’t able to get away as much as I used to, so I decided to book a coach tour to see Andre Rieu in Maastricht. I figured I would at least be taken from ‘door to door’. Firstly, about a week before I was due to go, I received an email telling me they would be putting me on a National Express from my home town to London Victoria. Not a problem as it did say this may have to happen. At Victoria we joined a feeder coach to Medway Services. We were told this feeder coach would leave at 10.30am. I found the coach stop at Victoria and all the other travellers, who had all been told the same thing - 10.30am. At 10.30 am there was no feeder coach, nor at 10.45am….at this point one of the passengers called the company to be told the driver was stuck in traffic and would be there in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later a bemused coach driver turned up to tell us HE had been told to pick us up at 11am! The driver was from a company called Red Rose Travel, whom Gold Crest Holidays sub contract out to….I have to admit I was expecting to travel on a ‘Gold Crest Holidays’ coach, but hey ho, you can’t have everything and it was no biggie! At Medway services we transferred onto other coaches which were our main coaches for the entire weekend. Our driver Adrian was lovely, and kept us informed of timings etc over the weekend. However, on the information sheet it stated that Tea/Coffee etc may be available on some tours and came under the title of ‘on-board refreshments’. Now, I’m not a greedy person by any means, but I did think that a ‘coach tour holiday’ would at the very least provide basic drinks (tea, coffee, water) inclusive of the price - but no! We were informed by Adrian that tea and coffee was available - at a pound a cup, and bottles of water also, at the same price! It also informed us that there would be ‘regular comfort stops throughout the journey’ - other than changing coaches we didn’t stop! Thankfully there was a toilet on board! Also, at the very least, I would have expected usb ports by the seats to be able to charge phones etc…again, surely a basic nowadays of a coach holiday… As I had been put on a National Express coach TO London, I was also put on one for the journey home after the weekend. It was booked for 8.30pm. However on talking to some of the other passengers, I was told ‘but we don’t get back to Victoria until 8.35pm’! Well that’s going to be a bit tricky isn’t it!! It didn’t matter though, as we missed the ferry back, and I ended up being put on the 11.30pm coach, waiting around Victoria Coach Station for over an hour, on my own….not quite my vision of ‘door to door travel’! When I mentioned this to the company their response was ‘well, we’ve done our part, we’ve got you on a coach home…’ Yup, thanks for that! I’ve given two stars as the actual weekend was well planned and the hotel very comfortable, but this experience with this company has put me off ever trying a coach holiday again, as it really didn’t live up to the description and there just seemed to be a lack of care and consideration.

Hi we went to Maastricht and stayed in the Thon hotel in Manchelen which was adequate. Going out (because I chose to book late) we drove to Sandbach services to meet the coach (thank you Gold Crest for the free parking facility). Our Red Rose driver Adrian was fabulous well informed and totally knowledgeable about the coach, the process at Dover and driving abroad appeared second natural (well done and thanks Adrian). The lady at the hotel appeared very stressed because she was operating reception, the bar and any other queries. Gold Crest were great we arrived Adrian went and and collected all our room keys “great service”. We visited Aachen 3 country point and a very interesting valkenburgh. Fantastic service throughout but on the way back despite Adrian’s best efforts the French border staff delayed everyone for 6 hours as they were checking 3 other coaches that operate across europe and beyond (I understand security but why not only delay those coaches and put a separate team on different coaches). I will in the future take coach holidays BUT we will not be using Calais (if Calais is the only option we won’t be booking) rather use Dunkirk. Overall we’d like to thank Gold Crest and a very hard working Adrian “well done that man”

Booked with Goldcrest to see Andre Rieu concert in Maastricht, there were three in my party, myself, my wife and the wife’s sister, Goldcrest made sure we were kept altogether during our trip, we had seats next to each other on the coach and even our hotel rooms were next door to each other which made our trip much more enjoyable, we had no issues with booking and there was always a friendly person on the other end of the phone, the coach we travelled on was very comfortable and well presented , wouldn’t hesitate to book with Goldcrest again in fact I want to book for Andre Rieu at Christmas for 2024 and hopefully Goldcrest will have that trip on their agenda. Thank you Goldcrest for everything you did for us.

A group of 5 went to Andre Rieu's Concert at Maastricht with Gold Crest. A great 3 nights, Coach driver Lee looked after us really well. Kept us informed at each stage and stayed calm and coped well with the long wait of 2hours 30 minutes each way at customs. Hotel good, fantastic breakfast. great trip (apart from customs). Thank you and thank you to Lee.

A fantastic trip to Paris and Versailles in the half term week in May. Our coach driver, Lee, from Red Rose Travel was brlillant. He was very helpful and knowledgable and dropped us off in a central location and picked us up at a time convenient to us. The hotel was clean and tidy with fresh towels and bedlinem every day. Thoroughly recommended.

We booked a 5 day / 3 nights trip to Disneyland Paris during the late May Half Term school holidays. It was our second time travelling with Gold Crest, having done the same trip 4 years before. Prices have gone up a bit in that time of course :-( Disney apparently don't allow coach operators to stay on-site anymore, so we were placed in a small hotel about 30 minutes away. The hotel looked awful from the outside, but appearances can be deceptive as the staff, rooms and gardens were fantastic! Our coach driver - Lee from Red Rose - was outstanding and really went the extra mile with customer satisfaction. Although this type of holiday can be a long slog at times being stuck on a coach, I have never managed to build a Disneyland Paris trip cheaper myself and the local pick-up/drop-off from our nearest town is a joy. Hopefully they will add more 5 day/3 night trips during school holidays to Disneyland Paris in the future. We will be back!

Overall a great trip. Communication leading up to the trip was great, we had a clear idea of what was happening. The mini bus, feeder coach and main coach we all great and worked well with transfers. The hotel we stayed at was basic but met our needs, we found out this was the first time gold crest had stayed there, it did feel a little far out from Disney but overall no issues. My main complaint is the times of the coach, we left to late for my liking in a morning, when the parks open at half 9 and the coach isn't leaving till almost 10 it feels like a waste of a morning. Coming back we had 1 chance to see the fireworks which the driver warned us so we knew to see them. The next night he did say he would be leaving at half 10 unless there were any objections, which was more then fine with us. Even earlier then next night as we were leaving early the next day, so this is something to be aware of if planning to book meals etc. Our driver was brilliant, very friendly and helpful Coach home was straight through from the ferry with 1 stop which makes it a long trek!

Booked 4 days (3 nights) (2 days in disneyland) I am very disappointed and not happy and upset about my recent visit to Disneyland Paris because on the first day we was there on the coach had to leave at 11:30pm and the fireworks finished 11:20pm and with all the rush I couldn't stay to see it and had to leave alot early to beat the ques so had to leave the park at 11:05pm and then the second day we leaved at 10pm !!! I wanted to be a magical event and spent alot of money to go and always looking forward to spending my time in disneyland but was very much disappointed !!! We didn't stop of at hyper supermarket on last day and went stright to ferry from hotel !! why advertise this when it never happened !!! Bring Back Disney Dash !

Had a great time in Disney on way home was informed the ports in France had gone on strike so couldn’t get on a ferry till later that day or maybe next morning, Gold Crest we’re brilliant and managed to get us on the euro tunnel home. Would definitely recommend them and will be using them again.

Just came back from disneyland paris we travelled with gold crest coaches. We had a lovely journey there and back thanks to our driver Simon who was very friendly and very helpful. We had plenty of breaks to get food and to stretch our legs the coach was clean and comfortable to travel.

I’d give zero stars if possible. I booked a last minute (17 days before) trip to Disneyland Paris through their website. The website offered a pickup point in our local town which was a five minute walk from our home. Paid in full. Didn’t get a pickup time on the confirmation but did get the pickup point that we had chosen. Contacted them to find out the time only to be told they hadn’t sorted it yet and the transport manager would ring with the time. A few hours later received an email saying it was too late to organise a pickup in our town and they wanted us to get to Cardiff (20 miles away) in the middle of the night and get on a National Express coach to London before joint their coach. So instead of a few hundred yards the pickup was actually 200 miles away. Apparently their systems can’t remove unavailable pickup points from the website. Ridiculous in the 21st century. They didn’t seem to grasp that this was not on.

We had a fab time on our break. Our coach driver Damien was extremely helpful and the coaches were comfortable, offering tea/coffee-making facilities and a toilet. There were regular breaks/stops for food & drink. We even made a stop at the Belgian chocolate shop on our trip home. Would highly recommend using Gold Crest Holidays. Great value!

We recently returned from our trip to Disney as a family of 7 (3 adults 3 children and an infant). Our drivers Alan and Martin were amazing, very friendly, polite, welcoming. Alan's interaction with the infant was brilliant he finally got a smile after 30 mins. The journey down to Dover was smooth although we did have a delay due to traffic (protesters on M25) but this couldn't be helped as it was out of their hands. They kept us updated throughout the journey. The coach was comfortable, clean which made it a relaxing journey. We bumped into Alan and Martin during our stay and they we're still very polite and asking us how we was enjoying it so far. The hotels were amazing as always, the food was great. The journey home again was smooth at no traffic due to hours of traveling. This is the 4th time traveling via Goldcrest and I would definitely recommend them. From booking to coming home they was fantastic. We are currently in the process of booking for March 2023 for ny niece's 30th birthday. Thank you Goldcrest and thank you Alan and Martin
