United States | 31 July 2023I booked a charter for Sun 7/30/23 for my son’s 16th Birthday trip to Dorney Park. We had friends and family travel afar and incur hotel costs for this trip. I called on Friday and spoke to my Sales Rep Michelle who has been pleasant through the booking process. I called to confirm and ensure my trip and charter because I haven’t heard from them since booking. She assured the booking was good and shared weekend dispatch info should any issues arise. I went a spent a ton of money on food and drinks for the bus ride Saturday and returned home saturday after to receive a call from SALAR at 4pm the day before my trip to advise me “MY BUS” had a mechanical breakdown and they have to cancel the trip . i asked immediately to speak with Supervisor. NICK the weekend supervisor came on phone with no empathy and a a fake apology , claimed he called 30 vendors and no one had any available buses. i asked him what was he informed if breakdown he said 1 hour ago. I asked him how he contact 30 vendors in a hour and he went silent. he threatened to hang up phone on me because I was asking Tough Questions he had no answer for. “Mechanical Breakdown” is an excuse used in their policy to help the “get out of their guarantee”. It’s straight BS. NICK was dry and could careless how this effected my trip or family let alone my son’s 16th Birthday. How are you a broker with no back up procedure or plans for mechanical breakdowns. I got off the phone and was able to book a bus with ARMAN immediately with CharterUp but the trip now went from $2100 to costing me $3600 for a last minute booking. Truth is that uscoachways didn’t want to incur the additional charges to satisfy their customer. I am going to post this horrible experience EVERYWHERE I CAN !!!! DO NOT BOOK USCOACHWAYS EVER !!!!

United States | 25 July 2023DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I'm only giving one star because zero stars is not an option. We rented and paid for a charter bus from 5/31 to 6/01. The bus was to arrive at 8AM on 5/31. At 8:01AM, the bus was observed pulling in and out of the pickup location. When I called and inquired, I was told the bus would be returning in 5-10 minutes. No explanation for the delay was provided. After approximately 15-20 minutes, I received a call stating there were mechanical issues with the bus, and US Coachways was working on a replacement bus, but did not know when to expect resolution to this issue or if another bus would even be available. As it turns out, there were no replacement buses available, not even on a smaller scale (1. If you are promising bus charter services, how do you not have a backup plan/bus in case of an issue like this? 2. Why was the mechanical issue not known until the time of the event and after the bus had pulled into the pickup location? Do you not ensure your vehicles are serviced regularly and trip-ready prior to the time of the event?), which left us scrambling at the last second to secure a backup plan. This resulted in us needing to take a caravan of 5 vehicles from Rochester to Amsterdam/Schenectady. The failure of US Coachways to deliver promised services caused us to accrue significant mileage, gas, and toll costs as well as some of our trip participants to be chauffeurs opposed to guests. Additionally, this delay significantly cut into our busy agenda and left us needing to cut out multiple stops we had on our itinerary. I contacted US Coachways for a refund, which they said will be issued but to contact accounting for an update on my refund status. I have been contacting them regularly since 6/05, but still have not received an update on when I can expect my refund. It appears they are quite comfortable hanging onto funds for services they never provided but are unwilling to provide their customers with an update.

We had a bus to take 27 of us to a concert but 2 weeks before the event they called and they had to cancel because they overbooked. I called US Coachways to see if they had any available buses. Over the course of a few days I had talked to customer service who were very professional and knowledgeable. They had a bus that could accommodate 25 people. We decided to take it and a few people would have to drive. Emailing back and forth a few days before the event, I was confident it would work out. The night before the event I received a phone call and was told we no longer had a bus because of a mechanical malfunction. The old mechanical malfunction. Got it. Thank the stars above for a company called theecoride. My son contacted them early in the morning of the event and they had a 39 passenger bus available for us. The event was not spoiled by US Coachways because we ended up with a ride from theecoride. Thumbs up to theecoride. Thumbs down to US Coachways.

United States | 20 July 2023We were a group of 48 heading to a corporate event out of state. The website advertised their coach buses as luxury, and we paid for the upgrades such as WI-Fi, and outlets as some of us were required to conduct work during our 7 hour trip. Our bus driver arrived on time and was friendly, however during the first leg of our trip we had no WI-FI available. I wrote to the rep but haven't heard anything back, the charter was very outdated didn't even include cup holders. The A/C dripped on some seats therefore the passenger sitting there got his clothes wet. The door didn't close all the way and the entire trip we had to hear the wind whistling through the gap, not to mention the safety concern on this issue. Bathroom was outdated and not clean or toilet paper available. Overall, very disappointed will not recommend. We have booked elsewhere for our upcoming trip.

The drivers were pleasant & made the round trip to Camp Getaway in Connecticut very comfortable. Tommy Kiriakos & Tracie Daley were great. They were professional, patient, courteous & handled the situation. I would definitely use US Coachways again.

US Coachways calls us at 11:15pm on 7/14/2023 to inform us that they do not have a bus for us. Customer service representative basically told us we are on our own, and we should look for another form of transportation

United States | 12 July 2023The four star rating this business currently has must be bots voting it up, because if you read any reviews they are accurately negative about how unreliable this business is. In 2022 our bus was over an hour and a half late without any notice for a youth ministry retreat with over 50 students left waiting. They assured us this wouldn't happen again. Then in 2023, the bus we reserved months in advance couldn't pick us up due to "mechanical failure". We were told this officially mere hours before our actual trip. We were told we would get a full refund. Terrible service and not reliable because they are a third party that has none of their own charter buses. The cherry on top is that they have yet to refund my original expense 4 months later. I've had to follow up for that. I don't know how this business is still operating and they are likely constantly putting out fires.

United States | 10 July 2023It was an smooth process from booking to the travel, We ended up with a huge coach bus for our small group but that wasn't an issue at all. Our driver was excellent, she was very nice to us, we stayed on schedule on a very stormy raining day.
