The installation of the gravel grids went well and, so far, they are taking the weight of two Fiesta-type cars well. There has been a little bit of deformity in one or two of the "cells", but no breakages. I guess this may be due to insufficient gravel in some cells (or a less than perfectly flat surface), but this raises a possible learning point for the company: I haven't been able to find any guidance on how much to fill the grids. We followed the advice to use 20mm gravel, which limits the number of pieces in each cell, and inevitably with such big pieces, some cells will be more "full" than others. Conversely, I haven't seen any advice, on Ibran's website or elsewhere, to say that there should be so much gravel used that the grids are no longer visible. The tops of most grids are still visible in our installation. It would be helpful if some guidance could be given by the company, but I realise it would be difficult to word this. I rang Ibran two or three times before ordering to get advice on how level/smooth/flat the intended site needed to be, and the team were extremely helpful. As others have reported, some grids were chipped on arrival. We ordered 110 and three were chipped at the edges. I rang the company straightaway, just to pre-emptively advise them, lest I be later accused of breaking them myself (which I wasn't btw) or if we discovered many more broken ones once we started laying them. I said it wasn't a big issue if just three were chipped, and it turned out that we used them on the margins of our project at the end as "bonus" pieces to the required parking area. The chap I spoke to was fine about it and said he would send out replacements if we later decided to ask. It seems Ibran have had problems with delivery companies, let's just say. I asked how come they can be so strong and yet get chipped in transit from "the boxes being thrown around by the delivery company" (allegedly etc etc), and the answer is that their strength is achieved once filled with gravel. I strongly recommend this company and its product.
