It took a long time to bite the bullet and place an order, but I'm so happy I did. The quality of the denim and stitching is incredible, and they're softening beautifully -- still holding off washing them two months after getting them. Shipping was prompt too.

Great jeans! The sizing is spot on. I purchased the E8 Slim Tapered in a 30 based on the size chart and all the measurements are pretty much exactly what it says.

Aftering hearing good things about Blackhorse Lane Ateliers I decided to take the plunge and order a pair. The jeans are by no means cheap, however I would say that their value for money is superb (more on that later). I visited the Ateliers in Walthamstow and tried on a couple of cuts, ending up with their E8 model (the slimmest cut but it's in no way skinny fit). Almost instantly the jeans just felt... right. The many hours of work that they've put in getting the cut and details spot on is very evident from the first wear. I mainly notice it in the waist and seat, no awkward chafing and ... err... squishing. They're slightly higher rise than your fast-fashion jeans (ie. uniqlo) and the details such as the single piece of material for the button fly work incredibly well. All my other jeans feel completely lacking in comparison. In terms of value for money, the jeans come with a lifetime of free repairs. Combine this with quality denim, workmanship and fit, means I can see keeping my first pair on the road for many many years. I'm also already saving for a second pair. In light of the environmental impact of a throwaway fast-fashion culture, Blackhorse Lane's model should be the future.

The first thing is that Blackhorse Lane Ateliers have a style and size to suit just about anyone. Beautifully crafted jeans in London and well worth visiting them to meet the team who make the garments. I had mine fitted and altered whilst I waited, which gave me time to chat with them as I was in no hurry. Have to say Han and the staff are so friendly and genuinely excited to meet you and talk about their wonderful company, so well worth the short hop out to them if you're in London area. I now have a blue and ecru in the E5 style and absolutely love them. Better still they are made in the UK and sustainable garments with free future repairs, so a big plus for the planet! Looking forward to breaking them in now. If you're looking for a new pair, worth paying that bit more and having them looked after in the years to come, certainly cheaper in the long run!!
