Belgium | 09 February 2025I was in a bit of a panic for a last minute cancellation insurance. All the banks etc were so ridgid but i declared my love to the lady in cork from world nomads when she sorted everything exactly as i needed it.

United States | 08 February 2025I went with a different company and was still in my 15-day grace period so I was able to cancel that policy when I realized it wouldn’t meet my specific needs (motorbike pillion passenger) and went with you guys because you e always been easy to use and have the coverage I need. I shouldn’t have strayed!

United Kingdom | 07 February 2025Nah skip these guys, a complete mess. I have two claims open and they have a different employee contacting me each time with zero knowledge, I have to keep writing the same stuff over over again. it's a bit frustrating to have no consistency and have to start again with explanations every time. To be fair, my partner did manage to get a payout of £50 for a delayed flight but they didn't do me the same courtesy so I'll give them two instead of one star. So in a nutshell, things our policy won't payout for; one delayed flight, two flights cancelled by the airline and one hospital visit. We're essentially uninsured on this trip so that's scary.

United States | 07 February 2025Fellow Trekkers, I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience with World Nomads insurance. As a loyal customer for over a decade, having purchased insurance for high-altitude treks, I never expected to face such poor service when it came time to make a claim. In December 2024, I embarked on the Sleeping Buddha Trek, which offers views of the seven tallest mountains in the world. My two sons joined me for their first Himalayan trek, but tragically, one of them fell ill with stomach flu just before the trek began and had to remain behind, while we went ahead. Anyone who has trekked at high altitudes knows that finding medical care at 8,000 feet is nearly impossible, especially for an illness like stomach flu. The only option in such a remote setting is to let the body flush it out, which we did. Despite this, the underwriter, Nationwide (for US residents), denied my claim because I didn’t seek a doctor. This is not only unreasonable but completely out of touch with the realities of high-altitude trekking. To make matters worse, the claim was for a mere few hundred dollars. The trekking company, based in India, refused to offer a refund, citing the last-minute cancellation and including costs for the additional stay at base camp. I didn’t even include flight costs in my claim. World Nomads' refusal to cover this claim has been an eye-opener. I trusted them to provide support in case of unforeseen circumstances, but instead, I’ve faced an absurd denial over a small amount. As a result, I will never purchase insurance from World Nomads again.

United States | 06 February 2025I chose World Nomads for two reasons: 1. Recommended by fellow travelers and friends. 2. Website was easy to use and much cleaner experience that Travelex or Travel Guard. The price was also comparable.

United States | 06 February 2025I bought a policy on 1/29. On 1/30, I emailed to ask that the travel dates be changed, as the dates were a few days off. It is 2/5 at 3 pm, and I still have not heard back from them
