United Kingdom | 09 October 2020Helen gave very good advice helping me with the sale of my property and Doug was extremely helpful once we had sold. He was always ready to assist and couldn’t do enough. His cheerful manner made the stressful wait to exchange and completion so much easier to deal with in these weird times.

United Kingdom | 07 October 2020I can only report positive experiences with the team at Intercounty, Braintree. In particular Luke and George have been fantastic throughout our house hunting process. They were thorough, very understanding and attentive towards our requirements , kept us updated promptly and went above and beyond at every opportunity. We will certainly be in contact with them again when we are ready to buy and have recommended them to many people already.

United Kingdom | 30 September 2020The Team at Intercounty were exceptional. They had a difficult sale on their hands as we went on the market at the point when there was so much concern over Brexit - swiftly followed by Covid and lockdown. We tried other agents and were promised so much but only one delivered. The team were always professional - customer focussed and when I lost my temper or became emotional -they were wonderfully calm. Potential buyers were always properly vetted and there was always someone on hand from the team to show people around the house - we never had to chase for feedback it was always prompt and informative. As we were moving internationally, during a global pandemic, the sale was complicated and the team were incredibly supportive and worked so hard to get the sale over the line to enable us to move before a second wave or lockdown. It would be quite difficult to fault them. Clare, Charlotte, Abby and Pete you are the dream team. Thank you x

United Kingdom | 11 September 2020Thank you to a great team at Bishop's Stortford Intercounty. We were supported by their calm professional manner throughout our sale and purchase. We found them very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable.

United Kingdom | 05 September 2020The sales team were extremely good at showing viewers around and notifying us of feedback. After offer agreed I consider that there was an approach to push for an earlier completion date with, in my opinion, preference towards the buyers’ requirements rather than the sellers’ , the latter being the party who were after all, paying Intercounty the Estate Agent’s fee.

United Kingdom | 21 August 2020Abbi Hogg, our main contact, provided an exceptional, professional and efficient service at each stage of our property search. We cannot express enough what a credit she is to the Intercounty brand!

United Kingdom | 18 August 2020We had the great pleasure of dealing with Abi Hogg at the Saffron Walden office when searching for a property. She was friendly, helpful and efficient – on the phone, in emails and particularly in person. Sadly we didn't find our new home with Intercounty but this wasn't by design and would highly recommend them for their impeccable services.

United Kingdom | 14 August 2020I have been very impressed by the service I have received from Intercounty, Bishops Stortford. In particular, James with viewings and the start of my purchase process, and then Doug who has been great at keeping me informed with progress, and was straight on the case when a chaser was required. I would definitely recommend Intercounty to any buyers.

United Kingdom | 13 August 2020We have started purchasing our property a few days before the lockdown. The entire team was just amazing in keeping us informed and reassured during the whole process, despite all the difficulties associated with furlough, social distancing, etc. During the entire time, they have been in contact with us and the seller. Being first-buyers, we had plenty of questions and worries, but they were always there for us. We would highly recommend Intercounty and especially this team!

United Kingdom | 29 July 2020Wish we could have gone with them from the off, rather than wasting time with other agents in the area.... Brandan was absolutely fantastic and always helped to keep our mind at rest while we stressed and panicked! The only downside is the conveyancers they are associated with, however intercounty themselves were superb 😊

United Kingdom | 20 July 2020We had been on the market with another local agent for some time and decided to change agent to try a fresh approach. We received an offer within 2 weeks of instructing Intercounty. We were also given great support in our house search. The agents took time to get to know us and our needs and we felt very supported at all times. The agents chased solicitors to progress our sale and purchase as they knew we wanted to move quickly. Big thanks in particular to Clare and Charlotte. I would not hesitate to recommend Intercounty Saffron Walden for your next house sale or purchase.

United Kingdom | 08 July 2020We have only started renting our property through intercounty. Since we moved in (during lockdown) we have been very happy with the work of Allison Branch and her contractor Terry. Allison is always on hand if you’ve got a problem. When problems have arisen, a Allison has sent Terry out to solve the problem. Today he has laid a new floor in my kitchen. Terry is a very polite man, I feel very comfortable around him and he is very kind and playful with my 3 year old daughter. I have never felt so comfortable with a contractor before. He listens to what needs to be done and carry’s out the work to a very high standard. Thank you Allison and Terry for all your hard work.

United Kingdom | 27 June 2020My fiance and I have just purchased a property with Intercountry Estate and we felt we should share our experience so far. Right from the beginning we were pleasantly surprised with how laid back, non pushy, however extremely knowledgeable and very helpful Peter was. He allowed us to look through the house without breathing down our necks and any questions we had, he knew the answers. We have also dealt with Lisa, who has been extremely helpful booking multiple viewings to the same property and an excellent communicator between us and the seller. We are still in the very early stages of the process but we feel extremely comfortable and at ease, with both Intercountry Estate and the sellers.

United Kingdom | 05 June 2020Brilliant service from Intercounty Old Harlow, especially Brandon o Sullivan. He was constantly pushing and chasing the chain. I was phoned and informed constantly and nothing was too much trouble. Brandon is a great communicator and seem to really care. Tbf the whole team at Old Harlow were very good! Worth every penny.

United Kingdom | 21 May 2020We used intercounty bishops stortford recently when we purchased our new property. We have completed today, following the relaxing of the government guidelines to allow sales to proceed. Doug kept us informed throughout the process even though it was a tough time for estate agents and we are very happy with the service we were provided. Would not hesitate to use the again or recommend them to friends and family

United Kingdom | 20 May 2020We rented Orchard Cottage in Ickleton for just shy of 5-years and Intercounty Saffron Walden acted as the 'middle' company we dealt with only at the start of the tenancy and then the end. Initially the set-up was fairly straightforward, they took their pretty big chunk of change for doing very little and we got on with moving in. However toward our moving out date 5-years later it came to light that our (the tenant’s) follow-up comments to the original, and quite poorly evidenced, check-in inventory had never been filed/saved, and they’re kinda' necessary to back-up any potential issues, especially when you have the type of landlord who’ll re-straighten used nails, circling for potential extra cash to pick up. Now to be fair, e-mails were answered reasonably quickly, yet every single one was just a simple 'we cannot comment' fob-off, and it's really hard to see why we even had to deal with Intercounty at the end of the tenancy. Anyway, the biggest gripe is, Intercounty filed the paperwork to return our initial deposit, which was 2-months worth of rent, but this was done with a deduction of 27% for 'alleged' rent arrears. Fact is though, with bank statement evidence we could prove we were not in any arrears, in fact we'd manage to over-pay rent and were actually owed money by the arithmetically challenged landlord. But Intercounty were not interested in this 'evidence' and merely took the landlord’s say-so without him supplying any evidence to back up his fictitious claim. So it’s interesting to note there's a follow-up comment on here from Intercounty to another miffed reviewer on 20 Feb 2020 that states 'If deductions are proposed we do understand this will not always be received well however there will always be supporting evidence in relation to this'. Erm, really? So where was the supporting evidence we were due? Intercounty, I shall repeat, just sided with the landlord based solely on his say-so without him providing ANY evidence, whereas we have full black and white financial statements showing exactly how much was paid and when, proving NO money was owed by the tenants at the end of the tenancy agreement. So now we're needlessly stuck in a 3-month wait for the remaining 27% of our deposit to be returned, which it will be as bank statements do not lie (unlike landlords) whilst our evidence is reviewed by a third-party. Yet with just an inkling of common sense and the brief time to look at our hard evidence Intercounty could've saved all parties the time and hassle now being incurred because, let's face it, the only side they're currently making money from is the landlord (and his many, many properties). And just for the record, the landlord (DAVID HUMAN) broke several of his contractual tenancy agreement obligations, which as another reviewer has pointed out - Intercounty let slide, plus allowed a large and structurally dangerous outside flint-stone building (barred from use for the final 18-months of our tenancy, without any rent deduction) situated in the properties garden to remain hazardously unstable and unfixed, even though it was pointed out that it was starting to crumble back in 2015, thus potentially putting the tenants at risk. Summary; if you’re a landlord Intercounty will look out for you. If you’re a renting tenant expect a meaningless smile with a smattering of incompetency. UPDATED EDIT, 14/07/2020: Finally, an independent inquiry has determined, we the tenants, were NOT in any rental arrears (as stated all along) and shall now, over 3-months later, receive back OUR initial deposit money in full. Thanks again for the needless time-wasting Intercounty; I guess it would have been some kind of issue to you had it been YOUR money....

United Kingdom | 05 May 2020Recently dealt with these finding a new property to rent. Big mention to Caroline who helped us through the process when other people didn't. We had a bit of an emergency to move and she pushed it all through for us even when she was unwell and the lock down was in full. We had been dealing with Intercounty for a few months beforehand but even then no agents went above and beyond for us like Caroline did. Intercounty if you are reading this, give Caroline a promotion or pay rise! She deserves it!
