My experience was made great because of the staff of Devon Cream teas went up and beyond to help with my order which I had somehow got it to be sent to me rather than the friend it was intended for. I purchased the Cream Tea for a gift for my cousin who had just been discharged from.hospital after brain surgery. The said item was delivered on time and instructions were followed as where to leave if no answer. It was easy for me to check the status of the delivery so I could inform my cousins daughter as to around the time it being delivered. I can only comment as a third party to the taste but my cousin and daughter said the quality of the cream tea was very good and would highly recommend. The cost of the item was very reasonable andvI would definitely use this company again.

I sent my daughters a cream tea for their birthdays and they were so pleased with them I decided to treat myself. Scones were delicious and the jam and cream were plentiful. I put the two teabags in my giant cup and had a glorious relaxing treat

Delivered on time, lovely fresh scones

So disappointed, we recently received what was our third delivery of recent years from our son, for the wife’s Birthday . We were surprised how dry the scones were, to the point that they literally broke apart when attempting to cut them , upon complaining via email , the company apologised and a replacement was sent , unfortunately the replacements were no better. My wife who has many years of cooking scones, made the comment, these are far to short, not enough fat was incorporated during the mix. The only reason why i am now complaining, is that I have just received a cream tea as a Father’s Day gift, but from a company in an adjoining county, couldn’t fault the contents, the scones were soft, and enjoyable, and cut beautifully .I suggest Devon cream teas, note these comments , and act accordingly.

This is the third cream tea I have sent from this company throughout the year as special gifts for friends and all were delighted with the surprise they received. The packs are well presented and contents good quality and very tasty.

Very disappointing. Won’t be using again. Ordered the “gluten free cream tea with gluten free pasty” for my friend for her birthday, who has quite a severe gluten intolerance. The birthday girl recipient received normal scones in her box, which has angered me a lot. Clearly no 2nd checking process before sending it out. Birthday Recipient then had to call them directly to sort it out as she was too embarrassed to mention it to me initially as I was on holiday. A massive, and potentially catastrophic health error on the company’s part had she eaten them! Luckily my friend noticed. Replacement gluten-free scones were sent out and received the next day, but it was too late, the error had completely ruined the surprise birthday gift. Not the same when received in dribs and drabs. Would have been much nicer to have received the whole correct order again, as it was their mistake. No extra cream & jam was sent. Her husband had eaten the non-gluten ones the day they were received, knowing his wife couldn’t eat them, so no jam & cream left for the gluten-free ones when she received them. I had no apology from the company at all, just a re-sent invoice by email noting the blunder. Very unprofessional and very bad customer service there. An apology card was sent out to the recipient with correct scones, but even that was amateur as the words didn’t format correctly across the lines splitting the words in half and dropping to next line. This company seem to have a severe lack of care, attention to detail & no quality assurance. There are plenty of these type cream tea companies out there so I won’t be using this one again. Had my friend not noticed the scones sent were not gluten-free it potentially could have made her seriously unwell. Completely unforgivable blunder. Very disappointed & cross

I bought this as a treat for my friend's birthday. It was very reasonable and arrived exactly when they said it would. My friend was thrilled with it and said the scones, cream and jam were delicious. It really made her birthday. I can recommend highly.
