United Kingdom | 25 March 2022Play More Golf membership isn't quite what it seems. I took out a Play More Golf membership as it looked like a great way to book and play rounds. I liked that any home points I had left at the end of the 12 months would be carried over if I renewed with the same home club for another 12 months. That does now not seem to be the case, if that home club changes their contract with PMG. Recently I tried to make a home booking through PMG app but was unable to. The home club HAD cancelled their online booking feature with PMG so now the only way I can book a round using my points is via email with the club 2-6 days in advance. The issue with that is, it's not that convenient, I have to have back and fourth email conversations to get the right tee time and most importantly… THAT'S NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP TO. The second issue that I've now been told is that because the home club is not renewing their membership with PMG, if I don't use up all my home points by my my renewal date, I will lose them. I can transfer 20 to a new home club at the clubs discretion if I sign up to another 12 months. So in short, because of the way PMG works with clubs, if those clubs move away from PMG, you potentially stand to lose out. It turns out that when you have an issue like this, it's between you and the club even though you signed up through and paid Play More Golf. You won't find this information in their Ts & Cs anywhere. I would not sign up to PMG again, they have done nothing to resolve these issues, apart from telling me the best way is to get those points used up. The options PMG GAVE me were… 1. Use up all points before my renewal date. 2. When the renewal comes up, move to another home but I can only possibly carry over 20 home points. These options are not acceptable when I’ve had what I originally signed up to changed. I signed up to Play More Golf to be able to book rounds online or via app, when I choose. I signed up to Play More Golf so I could carry over ANY remaining home points in to a new 12 month contract. Through no fault or change of mine I now don’t have the service I originally paid for and the 2 solutions PMG provided do not give me this back. I have asked you for a full refund of my remaining points. PMG are not offering me this solution. Terrible customer service.

Becoming a flexible member with most of the benefits of full membership and only wishing to play a small number of times and not weekends this fulfils my needs. Being able to book 2 weeks in advance plus securing a handicap again is great. The cost is at a discount to pay and play prices is another bonus. All round this is a good package.

I would like to see more courses on the scheme from my local area as limited to where I can use the away from home course points. Also having an issue booking on my home course at the minute where I want to add myself to a full members booking. Currently being looked into but not sorted yet.

United Kingdom | 16 February 2022I have been a playmore golf member for a number of years but I found that I was playing a different pmg course to my home course most of the time. You enabled me to move my membership to Birtstall golf club in what appeared to be an entirely seamless process.
