United States | 11 October 2019Despite the status of my order is "paid" i have not received any money. Support team helped me to go through card submission process, but has been keeping silence since I asked them where my money is.

United States | 11 October 2019The first time I used their site and gave them all my info (including credit card #) I got a confirmation that my order was processed. Then, 5 minutes later I got a second email that the order had been canceled. I'm concerned that they have my email address, name, home address and credit card info. I DO NOT TRUST THEM AND YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER!!!

United States | 13 September 2019Keeps cancelling my orders. They say it's a "security issue" but can't tell me why or how to fix it. Other sites let me buy from them no problem.

United States | 08 September 2019I "sold" Gift Card Spread a >$500 card. I provided the card info, they offered a price, & I accepted. They asked me to mail the physical card so I spent almost $20 to send it registered mail due to the high value, and they have not even bothered to accept/pick it up on their end for nearly 2 weeks. My card had a full balance at least a week into that delay, and now my card is showing ZERO balance!!! Gift Card Spread site & support is a joke. I had previously tried to sell the card to other gift card exchange sites but they were not interested due to the high value(?). Now I don't know which one F'ed me. My advice: don't give out the card info to ANY site - they can reject your offer (or accept and string you along) and then who knows where or when your card balance gets drained. What a scam!

United States | 29 August 2019ZERO Stars.I bought 3 Barnes and Noble gift cards on 4/27/19 for a total of $135. I don’t work in the summer so I saved them to buy books for my summer/fall reading.I went to use one yesterday on 8/28 and was told all 3 had been used on 8/22 at some college Barnes and Noble Campus bookstore. So something is fishy here and whatever fraud happened was past the 60 day mark for returns.I don’t know if I have any recourse but am out $120.I have bought from them in the past and never had a problem because I used the cards in a timely manner. This is the first time I waited to use them.I wonder if they are reselling their gift cards after the 60 day period like someone said on one of the sites.BUYERS BEWARE

United States | 26 August 2019Bought a $100 Chili's e-gift card from giftcardspread.com in April. Tried to spend in restaurant in August, and the fund in the card was already empty. Contacted giftcardspread, who said it's over 90 day warranty period. This is close to a fraud!! I suspect this company is running illegal business. They withdraw the money out of the card account if it’s not spent in 90 days.

United States | 21 August 2019I opened an account and submitted a gift card for sale. I was prompted to enter my best price. No offer, no guidelines, no suggestions. I made an offer. Two days go by and no response. I log on again and I have not been paid, but the card is no longer listed. Did they lose it? Was the offer too much? Might I do better at a lower price? Is someone willing to pay less? I do not know, because Gift Card Spread did not provide me with an explanation or offer advice. I sent them an email directing them to cancel my account (there is no link on their website) and received the following email: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gift Card Spread support@************.com via freshdesk.com 3:28 PM (11 minutes ago) to me Hi **** , We're sorry to hear that you'd like to leave us. While Your account can not be permanently removed from our system, we have successfully placed this on a permanent lock. You will no longer be able to access your login and / or any information associated. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. Best Regards, Gift Card Spread Team ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What good does that do me? I don't want to restrict my information from ME, I want to restrict it from THEM. SO . . . if you do use Gift Card Spread be prepared for a long-term commitment. I can see no profit, literal or figurative, in doing business with a company that chooses to communicate nothing and then will not let you terminate the relationship. I trust you will agree.

United States | 26 July 2019Bad customer service...you know what BAD service period. Do NOT use this website. Would not honor a 100 gift card that had no balance on it. Buyer beware!!

United States | 25 June 2019Read the FAQs and notices on the website!!!! The majority of the negative reviews wouldn't be here if people paid attention. #1 Most gift cards DO NOT have an expiration date, HOWEVER, the site only guarantees them for a certain length of time because they CANNOT guarantee that the seller (to Gift Card Spread) hasn't copied down the information to fraudulently use the cards. #2 Use them before the end date guaranteed by Gift Card Spread. They can still be bad, BUT at least you'll get your money back. I, personally, check the balance (there's usually a telephone number on the card or use the company's website) shortly before I use the card as well as when I receive them to make sure the original seller hasn't used them. By using the cards PROMPTLY AND CHECKING the balance the day you plan to use them you will lessen the chance of problems and embarrassment greatly. Read the rules, understand them and you won't get burned. I use discounted cards all the time and when I do these simple things I rarely have problems, and at worst, get my money back.

United States | 15 June 2019I purchased THREE $50 gift card from them. I used one for an item costing me $42. The others I saved. They SAY they never expire! I bought them in August, 2018. I went to use the other gifts cards, and the $8 still remaining on one, last Wednesday, June, 2019, and was told that the cards were voided! I called the number listed on the printout to report the problem. The rep I spoke with was very nice, and said it would be forwarded to another to be examined, and that they would call the company that the gift cards were for, to clear up the problem. Later today, I received an email reply stating that they only back them for 60 days! So, they DO expire! I am now out $108, and they offer nothing! They are thieves! Do NOT buy from them!

United States | 21 May 2019I purchased two $50.00 gift cards for Texas Roadhouse. I tried using them on the same day and I was only able to use $29.00 on one of them and the other card had a $0.00 balance. The restaurant manager looked up the transaction history on both cards. One card was activated in 2005 and the other one in 2006. Both had been completely used a day prior to when I bought them. The situation was very embarrassing at the restaurant. This company should be shut down.

United States | 11 May 2019DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! They sold me a deactivated card.

United States | 03 March 2019Originally, I was VERY hesitant to purchase from Gift Card Spread! Only because I've never heard of it until yesterday & they were offering a bigger discount compared to similar sites I've used in the past. Using other sites, I've been able to save a few dollars off every gift card I purchase. However, I don't remember seeing more than a 9% discount off the total value! When I found (2) gift cards with a total value of $75 selling for $60.60 I was thinking it was too good to be true! That's a little more than 19% off! Well, as hesitant as I was, I HAD to try it out! :) I received my electronic gift cards about 15 minutes after I submitted the payment! I used one of them to purchase tickets later that day & it went through with no problem whatsoever! I will definitely return to purchase again! To those who are feeling skeptical...don't be ashamed! I did too! Unfortunately, there are many scams out there to look out for! GIFT CARD SPREAD WORKED GREAT FOR ME! & SAVED ME QUITE A BIT OF $$$!

United States | 28 January 2019Ripped off! I buy a lot of gift cards especially for restaurants. I purchased about $500 for BJ's Restaurant last October. We usually go out once a week or so, not as much around the holidays. I tried using a gift card over the weekend and I was told that this was already used. A very embarrassing situation. Order # BO-347096 on 09/14/2018 BJ's restaurant Brewhouse for $50.00 card # 6035710410731490258 pin # 6959 The manager was able to look this up and said it was used on 12/21/2018 in Miami. Please let me know what I can do about this. A very unhappy customer....... This was there reply: We regret to inform your that since this order is beyond the 60 day return policy as listed on the terms on our website, we are unable to assist your with the issue with this purchase. I didn't want my money back or anything, I just wanted something that worked.

United States | 24 January 2019My electronic gift card was somehow stolen (or duplicated) and used by someone else, implying to me that Gift Card Spread does not have good securities in place to prevent theft. It is entirely likely, though, that the seller of the egift card was dishonest in the sale, which is outside their control. Fortunately, Gift Card Spread did quickly reimburse me for the amount lost. I especially appreciate this since I couldn't definitively "prove" the theft besides saying "I'm located in Illinois and these transactions happened in North Carolina...Help?" A note: the company of the gift card (in my case, Tractor Supply) was able to look up the transaction history based on the card number, which is how I sleuthed out where the other transactions happened. I've purchased resold gift cards from nearly half a dozen sites like Gift Card Spread. This was my first and only purchase from them, and this is first card I've had stolen. Due to this negative experience, I will not be using Gift Card Spread in the future, until I have reason to believe the risk is inherent in the gift card reselling business. If that's the case, then at least they were quick about reimbursing me.

United States | 29 December 2018Sold me two zero-balance gift cards, for which I paid $180. Will not honor terms and conditions.Class action lawsuit would be a great way to hold these people accountable. Warning-“customer support” is a phone number in India.Hard to understand,no grasp of the issue and antagonistic attitude.Hold time was 37 minutes from beginning of call to first interaction with a human.
