They will actually ignore your emails and contact you after just having been communicating with you. I noticed dozens of customers with that complaint but I figured let me give them the benefit here... Wrong... They are a 1-star company. Sorry to say.

They cancelled the old order and overnighted a new order for our son. Our son and his roommates loved the steaks and cheesecake!! Well done Chicago Steak Company!!! Very unhappy with the customer service. Placed my order on 2/18. Order has been in transit for over 7 days now. When I contacted them with my concerns regarding the safety of the steaks, ground beef, cheese cakes and mac/cheese, they told me that they would call me back. Called twice with no response to my concerns about the food safety. Will now have to tell my son to throw out almost $300 worth of food when it finally arrives. It's truly criminal! I was originally hoping to do a subscription and would have done so if they responded appropriately. Terrible service!!!

United States | 01 February 2021Placed an order to give as a gift for Christmas. Was told it would arrive by Dec. 17. Finally received the box on the 19th. The meat was thawed out and the boxes were bloodied. Tried repeatedly by phone and email to reach someone without success. When I did got to talk to someone I asked if I should send back the meat - it had already sat in the styrofoam box for a week and was smelly. They told me to just take photos and send them and that I could throw out the meat which I did. I was told they were going to refund my money and send me a gift certificate as a consolation. I disputed the charge (126.00) with my credit card company and just received response telling me the merchant is not refunding my money. This is absurd! After all that aggravation I have gotten no satisfaction. What a horrible experience. Would never recommend or order from this company again. order #100127799.

United States | 29 December 2020Ordered two packages. One for myself and another as a gift. Both were to contain an assortment of items including Filets and Chicken Breasts. Neither delivery contained those items as advertised. Steaks were stringy and chewy and ribeyes contained large chunks of fat. Burgers were fine but at these prices I can get good burgers anywhere.

United States | 23 December 2020I wanted to give a rating of zero stars but did not have that availability. I ordered steaks as a Christmas gift and was given a delivery date of 12/18/20. The order did not arrive, I was not given a tracking number for my order and the website tells me my steaks are being cut - for the last several days. Customer Service Associates are polite but still no results. I would never suggest this is a reputable company. I have spent close to $150 with no satisfaction. My purchase of a gift has turned into a huge burden with trying to follow up with a viable response. My elderly father has been waiting and waiting for his gift and concerned that the steaks would not be useable if they ever arrive. This is shameful.

United States | 22 December 2020Worst experience ever. Was supposed to be delivered as a gift on Dec 18th. Didn't get shipped or delivered. I asked for a refund and to cancel the order several times, and instead, they shipped it today after I specifically told them DO NOT SHIP THIS - cancel the order . That does no good as the party they were to deliver to was there on the 18th (the day delivery was scheduled). They are not there now. Customer service is virtually non-existent. They hang up on you if you try to call the support number - and that number is someone offshore. They don't answer FB chat or e-mails. I have filed a claim with PayPal (for what good that will do).

United States | 19 December 2020This is the absolutely worst company to order from with probably the slowest customer service I’ve ever experienced. Placed an order on 12/6 and delivery date was 12/18. I called on 12/17 because the tracking kept saying unavailable and that my order was still being processed. The lady on the phone said in fact my order would not be delivered on 12/18 and she had no updates for me, but would put me on hold and check with a manager. I was placed on hold for over 20mins and then got hung up on. I called again this morning at 7:56am and got the same lady on the phone- she said to call back in 15 minutes because the system was down. Still no update on my order, no email on my order saying it would be late, and no call back. I will be calling my credit card company and cancelling this transaction. Take it from me, don’t put yourself through this. Take your business to Butcher Box.

I get it’s a busy time of year but no one at this company can tell me what is going on with my order. They try to blame Fed ex and UPS but my order doesn’t show as shipped. I have called three days in a row Now! At this point I just want a refund. Can’t even get that. I will be reporting to the better business bureaus.

Then emailed AGAIN. nothing. I called yesterday at 6:00 and spoke with a rep that couldn’t help me but said someone would call me back in less than 24 hours. Still NOTHING. I’ve now tried to call 5 times and get disconnected every time. I want my order canceled immediately. I’ve asked long enough. I won’t order from you ever again. I was hoping to just push back the order because the recipients will be gone unexpectedly.

Today I grilled the blk angus ribeye and found quite a bit of fat on this steak; very unacceptable for a supposedly premium steak. This was not worth $200. Obviously I'll not be ordering more steaks from this company.
