They offered me a policy of WC and 2 days later they cancelled my policy, because they didn’t offer for clerical employees, although they took my payment of almost $800 and they’re lagging on making me my refund like they promised, if you call and ask for new policy they answer right away, but for this kind of issue I had wait over 1hr and no luck…. Don’t recommend to anyone please stay away

Kelly Rodriguez went above and beyond to assist me with an important matter that was holding up a significant payment from a client. Kelly called & mailed to make sure that we received everything required. We are pleased that our invoice is now being processed. Thank you Kelly!

On June 10th I began contacting the audit department by email since they do not accept phone calls about audits. I have sent at least 10 unanswered emails. I asked them for an explanation and completed their dispute forms (after weeks went by I had another Workers Comp agent look at my audit). To date I have gotten one response on July 31 asking for more information. I was automatically charged *a lot* after my audit results. I cannot wait to not have this company as my workers comp insurance.

If I could give this company a 0 star I would. Whatever audit company they use or whatever guidelines they have for their company, they need to make a change. I was just hit with a $8000 audit because I was told that my husband was included when I was never informed. My husband is the owner. I had an agent that sent an exclusion of request for my husband and was told a year and a 1/2 later after getting a $8000 audit that he we needed to fill out there personal exclusion form. They will not work with us and says there is nothing else they can do. On top of that, after filling out an exclusion form, they are still trying to charge me for my husband and plus back charge. I had attempt multiple times to get these charges adjusted to what I was told that they were gonna be, but they made an un-authorized withdraw without my knowledge and sent me invoice that day that they have processed a $1200 for the monthly payment. I also never was able to access any of my documents to see where they informed me that my husband was on the audit nor do i have renewa forms stating that my husband was on the policy. I again reached out multiple times and told they would contact me back and never did. Now I'm put in a spot where I will have to lawyer up. You should be ashamed of your self and your business practice by swindling money out of small businesses. Let me be clear I have tried to resolve this for over a month.

Recently acquired Workers Comp through Pie and I'm very happy with the experience! Everyone I've corresponded with has been highly responsive, helpful, and accommodating. Pie also has the lowest premium that I could find anywhere and didn't yank me around or send me to other agents. Straightforward, easy to set up and access.

Charged us multiple charges a month before due dates etc. Will it answer phone or respond to emails. Never again . Probably will have to cancel my cards due to repeated and double charges! Don't waste your money or time!

We received our annual audit in November of 2023. We never were informed of a premium increase. We never received anything by mail or email regarding a quote. I was called once by them stating they couldn’t get the premium quote for new policy to send. I gave her my email. They had the wrong email. Still never received anything after I was told it was corrected. 6 months later, we find out my husband’s email was entered into their system incorrectly as well. That was corrected. In May 2024, I receive my new premium. No notice. Just woke up to what was once 185 a month was now 1347 a month as per the draft in my account. This was unauthorized. I called to cancel and was told I couldn’t until I got another provider. So I did. The next day they sent a docusign over for cancellation 5/22. After a new bill for 4,700 came through as an “invoice”. 6/21 I received an email that it was processed. A month later. I have noticed that my payments have varied throughout the year, so now I’ll be adding up the total paid. I’ve requested a copy of the audit several times by email. No one responds. I called and it went straight to a recording saying to email audit department. I can’t pay that much money on a whim. The last bill just said it was from the audit. No copy of the audit provided. We just received a certified letter which I’m sure is threatening to send to collections. I’ve lost a lot of sleep over this. Something seems incorrect and these amounts when I run calculations to estimate from the ca.gov site for WC calculations. Seems way off. We are a very small business. This has been a devestating experience.

If you cancel your insurance they will continually hit you with bogus audits and new charges to your credit card. If you try to call and reach the audit department for clarification or to explain the charges you will be on hold indefinitely. Cancel your credit card or dispute the charges every time they try to charge. I've cancelled my policy 6 months ago and they still try to bill my card.

Few years using it and when decided not to renew with them, the audit start finding extra charges 8 months after policy expired. And charge to your credit card, even having writing not authorized charges. Never again.

Had a medical assistant get an accidental needle stick. I called the company to report it in case anything further was needed. Huge mistake. Nothing was needed. No claim was made. No expense incurred. But, our coverage was canceled due to "Loss History." So, pay them for insurance coverage, but don't dare file any claims. Got it. Moving on. I have a feeling it's because we're a small medical clinic with one part-time employee, they felt they didn't need to bother with us. Why approve us if we're such a huge risk?

Stay away from this company, I've been with them for about 2 years and the customer service is not good, their audits take very long and you get hit with owed large premiums years later.
