United States | 02 March 2024I cancel my insurance with Pie Insurance because... the bad service and I mean a really bad service. No customer service at all, they never answer the phone calls, the only contact with them is by email they will get back to you in 4-6 day. If are not near to a office please do not make any business with them. Basically I was on time with my payments. Since March 2023 they are request the same information from my company and I keep sending them, at leaset 6 times,I am back and forward with different people since March, they just sending a bill for $1729 Oct, on February I received a$3409 charge and today a $596. I don't know how a small company with 2 employees with all the payments on time can be charged with a huge changes. No hagan negocio con esta compañía, nunca van a contestar sus preguntas simplemente no contestam el telefono, no importa cuantos mensajes dejes el unico contacto es por correo electrónico y se toman días en contestar. solo les haran cobros exorbitantes sin razón alguna estoy hablando de que en menos de 2 meses me cobran $1729 en enero $3,409 y 2 semanas después $596 es de locura. E tratado de hablar con alguien para que responda mis preguntas, sin éxito no quiero imaginar para si tuviera una emergencia con algún empleado seria fatal. No los recomiendo, mi peor pesadilla.

United States | 24 February 2024I signed up with PIE insurance because I needed a worker's comp insurance based on the new CSLB board law! I started a small renovation business as a general contractor from my garage and I don't even have an Office! I talked with Luke with Pie and told him that I need to have worker's comp based on the new CSLB law. Luke said sure and he asked me how many employees you have? I told him 0 and if I have a project, I would be hiring someone part time to manage some office work for me if I had too but the main point is to have a workers comp insurance for the CSLB board new law. he signed me up and they were taking payment every month through ADP for my worker's comp till one day 7 months ago they canceled my insurance saying you don't run payroll!! DUHH! I told you I don't have employees full time!! turned out Luke signed me up for something called Pay by Pay insurance which means if I don't run payroll I don't get worker's comp insurance to stay active which Pie and Luke didn't inform me about this when I signed up with them!! Recently, I received an Audit invoice from Pie of $2,096 that I have to pay even though my total payroll amount for the whole year for my office paperwork part time organizer were $2,820 or close to that number. I called Luke, no Answer! I called Pie, no answer for multiple times and when I try to call someone at the Audit department they hang up after saying send an email!! I need this invoice fixed NOW! and I was supposed to get a refund not paying extra based on my ADP payroll reports. I will cancel my business with this company, and I will not do business with them anymore. VERY DISAPPOINTED

United States | 16 February 2024We used pie insurance for workers comp and everything was OK at first other than having to jump through hoops and hurdles each and every time we needed simple documents. Several times we looked unprofessional because the lady would send the wrong document or something would be filled in wrong. Other than this, the insurance was OK. At the end of the agreed upon policy they send us a bill for almost $3k over what we were originally quoted. The reasoning behind this (I think) is because we had a few temp employees that did not do any dangerous work or ladder work only basic labor and didn't work for long but for some reason since we hired a couple guys after getting the workers comp they try to charge us for them? Like pie would have covered a claim for workers they weren't covering in the first place? I'm not sure and not even saying pie was wrong for this. They are now threatening to label us as non compliant and turn it over to collections. I'm not going to let that or anything that will harm our business happen but I will leave an honest review anywhere I can to try and warn other small businesses owners as to my experience. It feels like I am being extorted and we will not be using pie any further. We were going to change providers anyways strictly because it's so annoying dealing with the rep we had when trying to get basic insurance documents. However, I never would have came to leave a negative review just because of that. How this company is trying to get more than double what we were quoted and never explained anything about this is why I'm leaving a review. In my experience I would advise against anyone considering using pie insurance. The initial quote may sound good but when it's all over that quote doesn't even matter.
