United States | 10 May 2024First off - The Five Star rating is for "LYDIA SCHELLER" (not for Pie). I have been writing with Pie for a few years and it seems that the customer service has slowly declined (in my experience) over time. My clients policy cancelled due to non payment (completely fair) He completed his audit and I re-wrote his workers compensation policy with another company per my insureds request. A couple months later he gets a random $567 direct draft from his account that says "Pie Insurance" I call the company and explain the situation. They say that the policy was reinstated and that is why they drafted his account. There was no record of neither Me (Agent) nor the insured requesting any form of reinstatement. We had re written the coverage through another company so there was no reason we would want this. It took me 4 weeks, 5 emails, and about 4 hours + on the phone with Pie to get him his money back which was incorrectly drafted. I talked to several customer service reps, sent letters of cancellation, and proof that the coverage had been replaced to no avail. Each representative told me after waiting forever that the money would be sent back but it never did. One day I called and Lydia Scheller answered my call. She took the time to listen to the situation and felt bad for all I had been through. She took it upon herself to make sure this matter was taken care of once and for all. People like Lydia give me faith that there are people in the world that want to help others. She could have just as easily treated me like everyone else at Pie and just brushed me off or told me it would be "taken care of". She deserves a much better position in the company than her current status as a billing rep. She will prove to be an extremely valuable resource to any company that she is at. Finding people that genuinely care is tough these days. When you find them you need to keep them in your corner. Thank Lydia! You are the best!

They keep trying to charge my card even though I have tried repeatedly to respond or contact ANYONE. They cannot be reached by phone nor email. I’m beginning to think the worst of this company.

United States | 27 March 2024I provided all information in a timely manner at the time of my business closing. 9 months after the business and all accounts were closed, Pie sent me an invoice for the audit submitted 9 months prior. Stay away from this company since they apparently can't do things in a timely manner and then are no help to try to resolve this.

United States | 26 March 2024Impossible to get a hold of. They do not answer emails or phone calls. So if you have change or claim on your policy it will not happen. There is also no way to cancel your policy online. They will keep charging your card on file. SCARY company to be handling your Workers Comp insurance.

United States | 11 March 2024Horrible company. First they are disorganized. They first gave a quote that was a little high. Then they gave a second quote that was lower. I wanted to go with the lower quote and then they said it was unavailable--about 10 minutes after they gave the quote. So I went with the first quote. Once payment was made, getting the documents of proof of insurance was so so difficult. The original person who helped was not returning emails nor calls. I've had it for one year and definitely moving to another company. But in that year, we had one small claim--getting pieinsurance to help with the claim process took forever and it was so so so disorganized. It really felt like a scam...bait and switch. I initially went with pie insurance thinking they were cheaper. Cheaper is only good if service is good. Thumbs down down down for sure!!

United States | 03 March 2024I cancelled PIE about a year ago because of poor service, refusal to pay claims, etc. I year later I got a bill for another $17,500 as the result of an audit a year before. They never showed me the results of the audit and never provided any explanation or forewarning, they just charged my credit card.I believe it was punishment for me cancelling their policy. Do not deal with these guys.
