This bakery 10 years ago was one of the best things ever and now it’s honestly one of the worst and extremely expensive every time I go i spend a fortune don’t enjoy the highly processed food and feel unwell afterwards.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FOR STORE DELIVERY - these orders vanish into a black hole you will see other reviews similar. Use Simmons instead if you are local. I ordered online and the order didn't turn up at the store. Manager gave me other items so we had something at least, very nice and professional of him. Complained to HQ who look the online order - explained the guy in store was great but that there was still an issue (didnt get what i ordered plus waiting 40 mins). They offer 20% off my next online order - what a joke. Credit card legal team speaking to them to get me a refund. When you phone their office no one is there in morning - strange that for a bakery!

I like the consistency of things. Here in west London. The food is either too salty, the tuna or the egg rolls and I eschew from the cakes... way too sugary. The coffee... for the price... machined. ok. So I only go here for the coffee now. its quick and cheap.

Southbourne/Bournemouth - great products, well prepared and taste good. Staff ? Oh my goodness. The miserable lady who serves is so rude. I had to show her the order on my phone and she insisted it was printed in large scale font to help me . Who has a large scale printer at home these days ? Bizzarre.

Stevenage Branch Food good but pot luck on the staff members, they get hump when don’t ask for a meal deal and even more agitated when you point out you have still been charged for it. I tend to just tell them to leve it but it’s happened before and now I think it’s only fair I let people know.

I frequent the store on Chingford Mount; the staff are so friendly and helpful. I have a serious love for the vegan sausage rolls; you should shout about them from the rooftops as they easily beat competitor's efforts. If you ever need a tester to ensure quality, I'll volunteer!

Extremely unpleasant and unprofessional gossipping and swearing whilst customers are in store definitely wouldn't take kids near them using language like they do, disgraceful. I refuse to shop anywhere where the staff use that kind of language in front of customers. Women needs to be FIRED ASAP. Unacceptable behaviour

Bought a bloomer loaf from South Harrow Wenzels today. Disappointingly it was stale, 100% not freshly baked today. The crust was rock hard and the bread had that familiar day-old taste and texture. Not cheap at £2.50 a loaf so it’s unacceptable to fob off customers with less than fresh goods. I’ve been a regular customer of Wenzels for more than 30 years and this has happened a few times before but I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt. No more. I won’t be shopping there again, it’s Waitrose bread for me from now on. Or Lidl. Even their bread is fresher and just as tasty as Wenzels. I would advise anyone else buying Wenzels bread to give the loaf a good squeeze before handing over your money. Note to Wenzels - your customers CAN tell the difference between fresh and stale bread you know, we’re not peasants! Treat us with some respect.

always buy a loaf on Saturday but for two out of three weeks i have walked out of the shop without purchasing because the bread is simply not baked enough they have obviously expanded the business so swiftly that they are cutting corners on bake times and i speak as a customer who remembers their bread and rolls from thirty years ago when they were magnificent

Very disappointed with Wenzels today. We normally buy their steak slices as a treat, as they are usually tastier, have more steak inside them and are much nicer than those baked by the majority of well known brands. Today, there was a little more than a thin layer of gravy in the six steak slices we bought, which were expensive. In addition, some of the slices looked as if they had been reheated, as the steak gravy had dried out. As a result I will never buy from them again and cannot possibly recommend them. Sometimes trying to cut down to reduce costs will also reduce customers. Very disappointing!

On five occasions they got my order wrong. Their assistants lack listening skills! Once I had to return FOUR TIMES before they got it right. Easily the worst branch in England.

For years I've purchased the family's celebration cakes from Wenzel's, but when I went to order a couple of weeks ago, I was advised that Wenzel's no longer do celebration cakes! Who's heard of bakery that doesn't make cakes?! Needless to say, after being a customer since the 90's, I feel that Wenzel's have lost their "local bakery" feel by expanding all over the place and I suppose this is what they are now focussing on rather than service. The prices for bloomer loaves have soared so I rarely go in there now as items are cheaper elsewhere. Very sad.

I went to the bakery today at Joel Street, Pinner. The cake I bought was stale and hard, the woman who served me was nasty, rude and smirked knowing she had sold me a stale cake - which I binned when I came home. The hygiene standards are substandard as the floor was sticky and the counter filthy. I will be reporting this place to the Council. Lazy filthy staff are selling stale baked goods! Pinner deserves better than this!
