Stevenage branch. Really friendly and kind. Food is of excellent quality. Where do I begin? From top class sandwiches/baguettes to the imagination used in cakes, the whole experience is superb 👍👍👍

We use your new bakery in Oxford road Denham, Sunday afternoon.What a great experience. The store was clean, with plenty of choice. The food was delicious. The young guy working that day, so helpful, friendly, great customer service. The area manager as in store, doing a great hands on job. So nice to a happy motivated team. Great food, great service. There has been a big change in the team at Little Chalfont. While your products are very good and of excellent value, the service has really gone downhill. Very disappointing as the service in the past has been excellent.

They. seems to have changed suppliers to lower quality products. The pasties are no longer flaky and have a lot less fillings The Cornish pasties taste like microwaved service station pies. What happened to the quality of your products? Are you trying to save a few pence at the cost of the customer?

I had the pleasure of being served by Louise in the Aylesbury store, who went above and beyond. I normally go to Wenzels because of the quality of the bread but always felt the staff lacked the ability to serve me with a smile. They should all take a leaf out of this young girls book she was polite and so smiley that it was the highlight of my lunch, well done!!

I have been going to Wenzels for sandwiches and breads for the past 3 years with no problems and great customer service. But this occasion I found a small stone while eating my tune fish sandwich and almost broke a tooth and lucky I didn't choke, I'm dubious about their quality control of the products. I rang the Borehamwood Branch now been told they don't make the tuna fish on site and comes from a 3rd party.

Disappointing over the last few visits. The staff can appear somewhat aloof and apathetic from the customer. There seems to be a tendency for the customer to know what they want immediately and therefore hurried long. communication in the form of mumbling rather than clear tone of voice result in asking the same question repeatedly. On a positive note I continue to enjoy the food and seems reasonably priced but the customer experience has declined. I don't enjoy handing over my hard earned money to those who behave as if their needs trump mine as a customer. I shall give it a miss in the near future and see if things improve in a few months. I am very patient and reasonable so don't raise such points easily.

I bought a veg pizza today for lunch. It was awful. Hard and Chewy and fairly bland. Very disappointed as normally the sandwiches are very nice

Got home to find the baguette Id bought had been overfilled with salad and had the thinnest spread of chicken mayo, so thin I couldn't taste it. Shame cos the week before the sandwich had been lovely which made me go back a second time.

Our first experience of Wenzel yesterday, visited Basildon branch, great customer service from Kylie, who gave us a pleasant greeting, was very enthusiastic about her work and explained options - very good at selling 'the two cakes at the discount rate'. Cake and coffee at a reasonable cost, We will come back when next in the area, managers please recognise the good customer service provided by Kylie. 1 star lost given that the shop was not busy I felt that the tables could have all been cleaned before customers sat down.

Great sausage roll

Been purchasing their carrot cakes for years! There amazing! The tuna salad baguettes are also amazing! Fresh and tasty!

Seem to always change their produce and have gotten so expensive, £2 for a loaf of bread! Donuts and yummys are really greasy. Was good a few years ago but gone downhill - just go to your local bakery you’ll spend half as much and it won’t taste like it’s been whacked in a microwave

I like their sandwiches and the customer service in their Wembley store is memorable. I am leaving that store every time, with the feeling I had a good deal regarding my purchase and that is because of their suggestions.

I bought the bake and decorate for my granddaughter to make and I must say I was very disappointed in the product I needed more butter than stated when rolling out it broke so keeped having too push it together when using the shape the dough wouldn’t lift up as a whole Wenzel’s man so in the end just rolled into shapes !

Purchased 2 open baguettes today 1/2/22 from Hemel Hempstead branch. They were in the heated display cabinet and looked lovely. Took them back to car and both my husband and I were unable to get our teeth into them On arriving home I threw mine in the bin as didn't want to break my teeth My husband tried to eat his but had to resort to scraping out the middle (which was softer) with a fork. Can send a picture of the hard shell that remained £3.95 each for these! Never again

I previously worked at Wenzel's for two years. I moved to university and applied for another branch. I had a zoom interview and I was told to come in the next day. To my surprise; it was my first shift apparently. Which no one alerted me to. That's not fair, you can’t do that to people; I had other job interviews I felt pressured to cancel due to this. Beforehand, there was literally no conversation whatsoever about me starting or whether I wanted to accept the role. I then spent money I hadn't planned to on Ubers because I was told to go back and get black trousers. This was definitely done on purpose. Before starting, everything paperwork wise was not sorted out. I felt something was wrong at that point but I brushed it off assuming it would be done the next day. I honestly felt used. Then Wenzel’s had the audacity not to pay me? They know that they can do that and get away with it because I'm young. I really regret coming in the next day as well. There were times in my old branch that I was given 15 minutes break in an 8-10hr shift or times when I was working more than the legal amount of hours for my age in the holidays. Or times when older members of staff felt like they could scream at me for the smallest mistakes. Or when a member of staff slapped me on the bum in a playful manner but I ignored it because she was a woman. Or the time a member of staff grabbed my Locs and rubbed them between his fingers like I'm some animal in a zoo. Or the time I was asked if my parents let me out of the house without a bra. What??? Not to mention the fact that the way we are expected to clean the hot cabinet is HIGHLY dangerous. I have burns on my arm to this day, sort that out too.

all round disappointment - looks good and thats where it ends - Steak Slice with no meat and sausage roll was hardly warm and dry the Belgian bun was dry and stale - certainly not fresh wont bother with them again 25/01/22 - Denham shop
