United Kingdom | 17 September 2022Just bought my last steak slice( and any Wenzel's product really) and it was truly disgusting. There was hardly any steak in it and whatever little steak I could find was mindblowingly chewy and of the lowest quality. By all means please continue increasing your prices while providing us with the lowest quality. Please do not reply to me you will look into it which we all know you will not, and continue priding yourselves with your innovative award winning strategy of increasing prices while providing lowest quality products.

United Kingdom | 15 September 2022I went into woking . first time of trying bread from your bakers. It was excellent and will recommend to all my friends. Best bread I've had in years. I will definitely be buying more and trying other items that you sell. The staff are fantastic too. Thank you

United Kingdom | 27 August 2022Brought from Wenzel's for the first time and will not be going back the hot sausage was not great but when cold puff pastry had gone hard and I don't think they are true sausages that they use and can't find the ingredients when you are on line

United Kingdom | 25 August 2022I used to be a good customer of this company however after battling with myself i can no longer consider this company one which offers good value for money or quality. I have purchased a number of items and frankly they all fall short on both counts, the last straw being a stake slice with no steak ! . Now I know the response will be you will look into this which I know you wont as you will be not bothered by losing one customer

United Kingdom | 10 August 2022We went to Wenzels on Preston Road to buy sourdough bread. Normally the service is very good. I requested that I’d like the sourdough bread sliced . Neither did the lady serving us Roberta Otves greet us nor did she wear gloves when handling the bread which I handed over to her . I requested her to wear gloves and she ignored that and went inside to proceed slicing the bread. A rude and unfortunate experience.

United Kingdom | 27 July 2022July 2022 updated Return of the wenzel Mac Wow what a difference a day makes. A year after the pandemic I came by to visit my old friends in my local store to find out that their nolonger at this branch. But the new staff have just been outstanding with their food service while keeping the high standards that we've been appreciating at wenzels Kentish town over the years. And my many thanks to joining the wenzels family Iulia, Shuba and Farhana for wonderful and outstanding service and homely birthday wishes. Thank you guys keep up the great work. Outstanding 5***** July 2021 review This opened in the middle of the pandemic and have outdone themselves. As the staff shown to always have welcoming smiles with great baked snacks and meals everyday of the week without fail. In the short time I've been there they welcomed me as a long term friend instead just another pass away customer. Plus they supports the food 2 go app, so if you're in Kentish town try something new, you can't go wrong. When you do go if you see Ana, Klara or Yemi tell them "Leon says hi" and watch them light up as I cannot thank them for their outstanding service and friendship while making this year my birthday to remember. 5*****

United Kingdom | 20 July 2022I went into the Borehamwood branch this morning and went to pay for my bread with cash(£5 Scottish note) After speaking to his manager I was told that they couldn’t take this note. I explained that it is legal tender but was told no. Why does a large company like Wenzels have this policy?

United Kingdom | 01 July 2022I go to the local branch in Bushey Heath. The girls there are always so helpful and happy. They all make really good tea too!

United Kingdom | 30 June 2022Tea provided in paper up. No sugar, stirrer or napkin provided. Ample seating, but both tables under ac unit and cold. Had to go back to the car to pick up my thick jumper. Good price for tea and doughnut.

United Kingdom | 06 June 2022I tend to agree with the other reviews that say that these products are overpriced a packet of four jam doughnuts cost £3.25 when you can get it for £1.25 in Marks & Spencer‘s. Alright then Marks & Spencer‘s jam doughnuts are smaller but they still hit the same spot. You could buy two packets of the smaller doughnuts at Marks and still not pay as much as Wenzel’s. That said against my better judgement I popped into Wenzel’s Staines Branch and picked up two ring doughnuts at £1.25. When I brought them home. I was eating one of those donuts when I realised there was a object in them I had it in my mouth and it was sharp it poked my tongue. I was quite shocked. I thought it looked like a nail which it was even more gross making me want throw up. My partner said it looks like a little bit of red plastic. I kept the plastic/nail piece in the doughnut as he suggested I bring it back to the shop but I’m in two minds. What difference would it make? I took some photos and still have the offending item for now. It wasn’t a pleasant experience and I’m not sure if I will go back now as I’m grossed out about the thought of eating from Wenzels and human nails or plastic being in them. It did do me a favour I guess, put me off doughnuts for life! My waistline will be relieved! Update: 14/06/22 - As you can see below Wenzel is asked me to write them an email sending them photographs of the offending item. I did this and I did not even receive so much as an acknowledgement that they receive my email. So I wonder whether the comments made here already because they are concerned or just for show. I sent another email asking them to explain what they’re doing about it? I guess to assure me that by buying a doughnut at Wenzel’s means that this won’t happen again

United Kingdom | 31 May 2022I would appreciate if Wenzel passes on my feedback to Helen from head office. I tried to call Wenzel Chelmsford and for some reason landed in head office. Helen picked up the phone and she was absolutely fabulous person to speak to. She called Chelmsford branch first and then back to me to let me know they have Sultana Cake. She is an Asset to the company. Thanks Helen Mansoor

United Kingdom | 18 April 2022I usually find Wenzels staff so friendly & helpful, but went into my local Ruislip branch to get a sandwich. They only had the Chicken Salad in white, so I asked & showed the lady staff member the sandwich & thought I'd ask if the had any left in there lovely granary bown bread. She offered to make me one, am aware sometimes they kindly do this at the Ickenham branch as well. So I paid & left. It wasn't until I got to a sunny spot I like to enjoy my sandwich I realised she had made Tuna. I cannot eat Tuna & don't like it. I was in two minds if I was going to go back as they were had been nice. But decided I should. When I popped back to the Ruislip branch I said to the same lady, " I wasn't going to considering she had been nice, the same lady was then oddly so rude in front of other staff & customers & said "why did you come back then, tried to imply I said Tuna when I didn't even mention the type of sandwich & clearly showed her the Chicken Salad. She then said "well I'm not going to re make it, she was very aggressive. It was all nice when she took my money but had some sort of personality change on my return.I've been going to Wenzels as a customer for a long time, but it's a shame as will not go to Wenzels anymore.
