Placed an order April, paid deposit. Expected delivery a week ago. Heard nothing, contacted Taskers only to find nothing had happened with my order, I was kept in the dark. I felt very foolish as I'd sold the chair the new expected one was replacing. Very very upset. I requested my money back. Today I placed a new order with another supplier.

I had done my research into what type of Mayfair Classic chair I wanted before I went over to Taskers in Accrington but there were still a few things I was a little unsure of. I was very very pleased to meet Malcolm, one of their salespeople as he put my mind at rest with his genuine honesty in answering my questions. I would like to thank him for that honesty as his help was invaluable!!

I ordered a sofa and snuggle chair from this store in March 2023. I received the order on 16th June ‘23. There were obvious faults with both the sofa and chair, some were manufacturing faults, others were probably damage during transit. These were made by Alexander and James in Thailand and transported from there. I contacted Taskers day after receiving the order. They arranged for a technician from Homeserve to come out and assess. For some reason the technician reported that all faults were acceptable and my claim was invalid. I showed photos and videos to several reputable furniture stores who all agreed that there were damage and faults. I raised concerns with Taskers about the assessment by the technician, and explained my concern’s about his methods. They chose to ignore my concerns. I then informed them that I was rejecting the order and requested that they collect the order. They initially refused saying that the order was bespoke. I contacted consumer rights who informed me that as I had purchased online, and had chosen the items from drop down options provided I had a right to reject. After I informed Taskers of this they agreed to a return and to refund my money. However, I would need to arrange and pay for collection. This cost me £200, which I think is totally unfair. I had to pay for the privilege of waiting several weeks for a faulty sofa and chair, then the stress of dealing with the matter. Then having to purchase another sofa and now wait for several more weeks before I get another one. I made several requests to Taskers to either arrange another technician visit or to try and repair the damage, they refused, choosing to accept the technician’s report. Their customer service and after sales is very poor. I believe that this matter could have been resolved better, and they could have still had a sale at the end. Instead I went to another store to purchase the replacements.

I cannot recommend Taskers highly enough. The vast selection of quality furniture, the lovely showroom and the most attentive, friendly team who go the extra mile to look after you. There is no pressure to purchase, they are on hand to answer questions, give advice and bring you lovely coffee! Malcolm has been fantastic helping me choose and order my new dining room furniture. It hasn't been delivered yet but I'm sure I will not be disappointed. Go and visit Taskers of Accrington, you too won't be disappointed!

The showroom is fantastic. Lots of choice and clean and organised. All staff we encountered were friendly and approachable. Paul Entwistle looked after us. He was friendly and knowledgeable (including giving details of the set up of our furniture when it was delivered).

Taskers has always had good reputation so that is why we returned to them after a number of years. The staff were very helpful not pushy. The quality is still there. We have ordered some furniture.

On arrival at the store we were actually welcomed - what a refreshing change. We were personally escorted to view the exact items we expressed an interest in viewing and coffees followed shortly to be enjoyed whilst we discussed our requirements. We have nothing but praise for Malcolm who, bless him, had so much patience and showed genuine interest in assisting us to furnish our home to best suit style, colour and budget. Overall, what could have been a stressful, pressured experience turned out to be a relaxed & enjoyable couple of hours and we came away confident that we had made the right choices. Thanks Malcolm

Amazing store with so many lovely items. We bought a Sits sofa. Daniel, and the rest of the team were so friendly and patient…….. we spent the best part of 2 half days there to make our minds up!!!
