United Kingdom | 08 January 2023Great furniture retailer. Excellent showroom and the staff are always friendly, and do not follow you round trying to apply sales pressure. This makes it a nice browse round the displays. Malcolm Pitts was our sales consultant. He gave the answers to our questions on two sofas we were interested in. We popped home to measure up and then went back to order the sofa with Malcolm. He was a pleasure to deal with. The store is top notch, great quality products with nice displays. The range of goods is great, from rugs and flirting to sofas and beds. We bought a bed in 2021 and have been impressed with that. Highly recommended store.

I have to say my experience at taskers was excellent, Daniel the sales men and director ivor were brilliant. My self and wife were made very welcome, even though we were there 4 hours. It was not a cheap purchase, so we had to stay that long and make sure,don't ever be put off by the time it takes to make a purchase. I would recommend Taskers to anybody, there is something for everyone and a price to suit them. Thanks again Daniel and Ivoy.

We ended up ordering quite a lot of furniture for our new home and were delighted with the choice at Taskers. We have come from south Manchester to live up here now and had visited the large furniture stores in Macclesfield and Oldham but we found the same furniture at Taskers and a level of service way beyond the others. We now know where to go for any additional pieces and it’s so much closer to home.

United Kingdom | 15 December 2022Bought a carpet in August 2021 from Taskers. Noticed soon afterwards that there was excessive fluff on the carpet(subsequently described as pilling). Complained to Taskers whose response was not to come and look at it but to send rep from the manufacturers Ulster Carpets. He inspected the carpet and our hoover which was as prescribed by the manufacturers (an upright with beater bar). We didn’t realise until that time that manufacturers will not guarantee carpets if you use certain suction models. Do the carpet salesmen tell you this - no.? Since that time we have been in dispute with Taskers. The carpet was not cheap but looks like a 2nd hand rag on our stairs and landing. An “independent” assessor appointed by ulster made a visit and agreed that we had pilling but this was part of the way the carpet was made. He did recommend a different sort of vacuum cleaner to that recommended by Ulster but when Taskers were asked on this they stuck by the manufacturers recommendation. He also said the carpet could be shaved but Taskers would not take the same view. No one from Taskers has been to look at the carpet and at a discussion with the MD, he said he had the same carpet and it was not a problem. Will we buy another carpet or anything else from them - no. A word of warning to any carpet buyer - ask the salesman which vacuum they recommend

United Kingdom | 07 December 2022Possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced - ever! By this I mean the rude and abrupt woman named Carol on the sales team! Firstly, I had placed an order online amounting to £90 for two scatter cushions with £15 delivery charge! The order went through and money had been taken for the order but I never received any email confirmation. So after a couple of weeks, still no acknowledgment so I emailed taskers of Accrington to see if they could confirm my order from there end. I received a quick & polite response via email to tell me that the payment never went through which I thought was strange as I always pre authorise any payments on my banking app. But absolutely no communication to let me know there was an issue? So that was that ..I phoned up to place the order over the phone as I thought it would just be easier, lady who answered the phone was lovely I think her name could of been Emma or Lindsey but can’t be sure! She kindly transferred me over to the sales team…..to Carol !!! Wow I said politely, Hi I’m just wondering if I can place an order over the phone as I’ve been having trouble doing it online & tried to explain, before I could even finish my sentence I was literally shouted at ‘what is it that you want to order’ I proceed to tell her when she interrupted me again ‘HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR THEM’ i said what do you mean? Surely your prices are there on your data base..she said yeah but how much did you pay online? I said right £45 per cushions so two was £90 and a delivery free on top of that. She said well how much did you pay for delivery? Can’t you just come and collect them? At this point I’m just in shock 😂 trying to keep my cool I just said, I live about 3 hours away and I would like to pay the £15 delivery fee that your company offers! She then put me on hold for about 5 whole minutes where I could actually hear her whispering on the phone to someone else lol!!!! Can the owner of taskers please tell Carol if you want to whisper to colleagues while a customer is listening, you might want to press the mute button to save future embarrassment! Carol finally returned with a sigh and said right well are just going to pay a deposit cos they won’t be ready months and pay the rest when they arrive. I went right is that what usually happens? She just replied yeah pay £35 today….so I begin to tell her my address & the card details … ‘what’s your house number’ Oh I said sorry it’s a house name, I’ll spell it, but Carol said No we can’t do that needs to be a number. I said that’s ridiculous loads of address have house names??? She kept saying no it’s not coming up on the system…so I give her a different address with a house number. Then my card details for the deposit, but oh no …Cards not going through. By this point I’m about to lose it. I said can you try again please, she replied it’s just not going though. No offer to help!!! No interest in providing any advice!!!! I have never been spoken to so rudely and arrogantly on the phone in my entire life! And who ever reads this, as an owner of a boutique myself, we pride ourselves on customer service. And I can assure you…this is not how you treat paying customers! So after an unbearable half an hour on phone with Carol. The call ends and I check my bank account, what a surprise £35 has left for the deposit. After calling back quite upset. A kind lady who works in accounts promised to call me back the following day and resolved the issue. However unfortunately this did not happen. I’ve had no correspondence from the company, no confirmation but they are happy to take £35 from me and still have it. Just a complete disgrace. Tell your vile sales assistant to be kind and have some manners!

Well worth the time. The welcome and help were beyond expectation. No selling pressures either. As I was staying locally for a few days I went away to think about colours and materials. Went back later and placed my order. All done with efficiency and a smile. I bought my sitting room furniture from Taskers some 20 years ago. Still using it, and looks brand new. This is an excellent company with wonderful staff.

Phil explained all the different qualities of carpet and even came to measure up himself. The fitters worked so hard and never stopped. They both did an excellent job, Steve fit the carpet so well and was very professional, we would certainly use Taskers again.
