Online regional purchaser. Lovely customer service from any store I called, and they helped getting the health insurance codes I needed quickly. The try at home kit and the glasses themselves both arrived quicker than I thought. The advice about colours from a real person as opposed to seeing just online when I called really helped. The try on kit is currently circulating around my friends here, so I think we're onto a winner :)

I ordered a try at home frame set and it took approx 2 weeks to arrive. I used the Dresden chat function and sent a message using the Contact feature on the website enquiring about the lack of order info in my account and didn't get a response from either method. After approx 10 days I phoned the Ponsonby store and talked to a really helpful and friendly optometrist who apologised and told me the try at home frames person had been away with an injury and she organised a package to be sent out. I explained that I wanted to get them so that when visiting Auckland I could come to the Vulcan Lane store and order my son some glasses and take them home. The frame pack didn't arrive before I went to Auckland and I had a really small window of 30 min to be able to make the visit but thought I could get it sorted given that it's not meant to take long. So I dashed to the Vulcan Lane store in the rain and got there at 1pm to find a note in the window saying it was closed for lunch until 1.30pm! So all in all, not an ideal Dresden experience. I still have the frame pack at home and hope to be able to order some online, so fingers crossed!

Love my Dresdens! Hard to decide what colour to wear each day. Great staff and very helpful. Missed getting a few details from me which delayed the process and delivery, but they put it right and added a few freebies. So they still deserve five stars. I will be back!

I had visited a Dresden store with my prescription so it was easy to order a spare set of sunglasses online. I was able to choose the frames, colour and size. They were delivered the next day. Brilliant!

I think, in retrospect $25 to get some glasses to try out was a bit of an over charge. Then the glasses themselves seemed like demos or something, flimsy, like something that came out of a cracker. I called up to ask whether this was a production model, i.e. exactly what you used for real glasses and was told yes. Also beware the colour, black would be a good default so people can try out and see how the frames suited them but you sent me a super light blue which was hideous. Maybe so people don't consider stealing them? Who knows...
