United States | 08 February 2020The folks are miracle workers! I I sent them a Dead WD USB Hard drive and the resurected the data after replacing a controller board and the drive heads. The service is expensive, but they are grounded in reality and are open to sensible negotiation. That said, be prepared to pay, but rest in the assurance that you are getting what you pay for. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

United States | 29 January 2020I had an excellent experience with Fields. We initially sent our hard drive to another vendor that quoted us the price of a used car to recover our data! After suffering a minor panic attack, I asked them to just ship the broken hard drive back to me. I then google searched data recovery and saw Fields, and gave them a call. They were certain the could save us money. I sent my hard drive, and they communicated with me throughout the process. They saved us a lot of money and got every piece of data back. And they provided the new hard drive with our data on it. Now we have two external hard drives with our family pics and videos so we have a failsafe.

United States | 28 January 2020Pressured me to quickly accept "reduced price" back burner data recovery, supposedly to be done whenever the techs had extra time over the next several weeks. Once I accepted, data was shipped next day, suggesting the recovery was already done. Little useful data was recovered. When I told them about this, they went back and captured another 90G of data in a couple of days. My assumption was that they would get all the data they could the first time, not just the easy data they could ship out the next day. Still missing vast amounts of data, which makes me wonder what else they could have recovered with additional effort.

United States | 28 January 2020The actual performance of data recovery was excellent. The time frame was slow, and pricing significantly higher than any other company I got quoted from. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for so decided to go with them. After already committing to work with Fields Data Recovery, from a straight curiosity standpoint and my tech background asked some questions about why pricing was a certain level, the work involved, and why the time frame was so long (but a fraction of the time if I paid nearly double) they became rude and defensive. Was asking from a curiosity standpoint. 5 Stars for quality of work, 2 stars for customer service. I give them an extra star as they were easiest to get in touch with.

After calling and talking to the Fields manager about my concerns, they told me they would complete the data recovery ensuring there would be no more costs. Got a new hard drive back with all my lost data. Was more than elated, actually called them and apologized for my doubts. They did exactly what they said they would and got my data recovered.

All my lesson plans, report cards, progress reports, individualized educational plans... my whole teaching resources was on that zip drive. I was horrified; yet calm.
