Greenback process, website and most of all, the people are truly outstanding. They make the process so easy and simple. The staff (Krishna N) was so helpful and involved in helping guide you thru the filing process. I can not recommend him and Greenback any more highly to any expat looking for help in preparing your tax returns.

I hired the company to fill out an IRS Form 5471. The first person sat on my request and did nothing. Ultimately, I complained and I was then put with someone that I doubt had EVER completed this form before. By reading the Instructions on the IRS website, I found mistake after mistake. The last error I found was totally ignored. I provided a quote from the IRS website instructions for the Form 5471 but I received NO revised 5471. Don't pay a penny until the forms are perfect or like me, you may just get ignored...

A scam. Multiple scheduled consultations where no agents turned up on the call. Then after 5 months of trying to arrange more calls, they send various links asking for credit card details for a 'free' initial consultation. Do not trust.

My Helpmate-accountant-tax preparer is D Smith. Not that my previous tax preparers at Greenback were not all excellent, but D really knows me and my needs and understands my situation (I live in Costa Rica). This year she caught on to the fact that I was not coming forth with my usual tax prep information so she knew that I would not only miss the mid-year filing date, but that I would probably miss the Oct one as well, so she went ahead and obtained the authorizations I might (and did) need. She knows which question she needs to ask me every time. I will continue to swear by (and not at) Greenback for my US tax prep assistance. Keep looking for great people like D. American accounting firms don't want to deal with foreign corporations, or if they do, they charge an arm and a leg. Greenback has experienced accountants in such matters at a reasonable price.

Good experience Have used Greenback on the recommandation and am happy with their support. While the website is ok and intuitive, the entire experience sits with the advisor. The first one assigned to my case left the company shortly after but Rijo took over soon. He has a lot of experience with US taxes amd guides me patiantly through the entire process. It was a relativelly painless process, well as painless as it can get doing taxes. Will use them again next year.
