Craig was great with my little boy who’s autistic and non verbal. Haircuts before have been quite traumatic for him. It made such a difference to have someone who understood and worked around his needs.

Couldn’t thank you enough, my son has thick curly hair and has been so scared of the barbers. But when we arrived we had the most calming experience. Very patient and followed rauri around well chopping away. Even saved all the curls for our keepsake. Could not recommend enough. Thank you ever so much see you again soon.

I was so nervous about my 3 year old little boys first haircut but I really didn't need to be! Craig and Scott were so welcoming! Craig let Louis jump straight in to his play area. He asked Louis's permission to touch his hair and even warned him of the first snip! After that Louis didn't even know craig was doing his magic because he allowed him to carrying on playing. Louis was so sad to leave and he can't wait to see craig for his next appointment! If you're looking for a non judgemental, kind and gentle barber then Craigs barber shop is definitely the place to go. I love how he let's the children lead rather than sitting in a big scary barber chair!

Craig was fabulous and so patient with my son who hates haircuts. He did everything on Harry's terms, took his time, tried to make it fun and just followed Harry's lead. How he cuts hair on the move I'll never know! Thanks so much x

WOW......went into Craig's Barbers yesterday morning for a Ladies Buzzcut......this place is absolutely amazing and has such an Awesome vibe. Craig and Scott made me feel very welcome and at ease. I came to Craig after having an awful haircut somewhere else. Craig immediately put me at ease and did an amazing job of getting my hair exactly how I wanted it. I’m so relieved to have the haircut I originally wanted. Craig was so friendly and understanding. I usually struggle getting my hair cut because of my autism and anxiety but I felt very comfortable throughout with Craig.

My son struggles to get his haircut he hasn’t had a cut since before August when we had to leave without a haircut because he’s had a major meltdown (and I had a wobble too🤣) I come across Craig on Instagram and he is a neurodivergent barber based in Bolton He is truly amazing at what he does with the asd community and it shows in his work🙌🏼 Our 1st visit he managed to cut one piece of hair whilst getting hit, pinched, kicked and screamed at, my son was so unsettled and was having a major meltdown. However i was leaving the shop feeling so positive and completely comfortable i did not feel judged due to my son attacking craig as he ensured me its a fear response but we will get a cut even if it takes 9 visits that one cut was a step in the right direction! A month after and we went to his 2nd visit to see Craig yesterday and he managed to do a quick cut!! After 15 minutes of crying and lashing out saying he was scared and he wanted to go home he got his haircut without me having to hold him or pin him down, we didn’t manage the comb or a cut on the sides or the back but it’s the little wins and my son left so happy and with no tears!🥹💙 Anyone with children with ADS and you’re struggling to get a haircut like I was with Riley please contact Craig. It is the best decision I’ve ever made and like craig says every child or adult with any disability deserves to have a haircut🤍

I'd never been anywhere to get my hair cut before so I was pretty nervous, but Craig was understanding and chill to be around. It's refreshing to be around somebody who gets that hair services don't need to be gendered. I just felt like someone going to get their hair cut rather than it being the typical vibe of salons being for women and barbers being for men. For me, this was a big weight off. Craig explained the things they were doing and why, and this was reassuring because I'm not confident with hairstyling or haircare stuff. I'm definitely happy with my results and will be making future appointments at Craig's Barbers. GG, I have already recommended to my partner.

It was our first visit to craig. We were looking for a new barber to cut my son’s hair due to ours emigrating to Australia. We weren’t expecting a haircut on our first visit as it takes our son a long time to build up that trust to let someone near him, let alone with a sharp pair of scissors. Well I was proved wrong, within a few minutes our son was allowing Craig to comb his hair. Such a relaxed, calm environment and Craig took everything at our son’s pace, listening to him and responding to his cues. Towards the end he became a little overwhelmed and was asking when it would be over, Craig counted down with him the last two snips of the scissors and was happy to follow him wherever he felt most comfortable. Definitely will return, it’s a weight off our mind knowing we’ve found a supportive inclusive space for our child in a world that’s not always accepting. Thanks Craig.

We recently came to Craig for an additional needs service. Craig was absolutely brilliant with our son & we managed to get his hair cut with no trouble. Can’t wait to return and we’re looking forward to our hair cutting journey with Craig.

We came to Craig for the first time as recommended by our health visitor. It was such a stress free experience and our son left happy rather than distressed. Brilliant hair cut and experience we will definitely be bringing him on a regular basis.

What a wonderful experience we have just had with Craig. My son is autistic and has reached a stage where I can no longer cut his hair as he doesn’t stop moving! This was no problem whatsoever for Craig though, and my son left with a wonderful haircut in less than 30 minutes. Me and my daughter visited Craig’s shop today for my daughter’s hair cut and was instantly greeted with a warm welcome, Craig goes above and beyond for all his clients! We will definitely be returning, highly recommend Craig🤩

This was my first visit to Craig’s barbershop with my son, Max (7 with ASD). Craig was fantastic. He asked about Max, conversed with him (as much as Max would allow!) and made the whole experience a brilliant one. We will definitely be going back and I would highly recommend.

Craig is an amazing barber and fully knows what he’s doing. My son has a hard time trusting people and immediately trusted Craig. Craig was patient, kind and considerate and did an amazing job. My son asked Craig about his job and why he does it and Craig told him all about it. 100% returning to Craig in the future and I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
