United Kingdom | 18 September 2020We ordered a new Oak King Size Bed however one of the supporting brackets which is crucial to the integrity of the bed is damaged. We have emailed this company on 9 occasions with false promises of a replacement part which never comes and now they refuse to respond to any communications. The customer service here is either extremely poor or non existent, we would certainly NOT recommend purchasing from this outlet. It is now at the stage we have asked our credit card company to recover the money from the company and will report to Trading Standards !!

United Kingdom | 24 July 2020A few weeks ago I purchased a Indulgent Double Mattress. I absolutely love this mattress and considering the quality what I paid was such good value! I purchased the mattress from the Showroom and it was delivered on the agreed day by a lovely person called Shaun. He was so helpful. I personally would recommend this company. Their beds are at a very good price and despite some other comments on here, I personally have never had a problem and think that anyone reading these comments should take into consideration the current situation the WORLD has had to deal with.

United Kingdom | 22 July 2020Ordered a bed from then on the 12th July (also trade as Crazypricebeds). Didn’t receive it and was told it was damaged by courier. Yet I had to contact them With difficulty to find this out. Said they were resending a new bed and funnily enough it was meant to be delivered but didn’t receive it or any update. I am now bed less and no way of getting in contact with them apart from an email address which they don’t seem to reply to. I will be sharing my review on various websites. My word of advice is AVOID AT ALL COST. Better off paying extra somewhere else and ensuring you get what you paid for. Looks like I’m out of pocket

Several parts of the bed were missing on delivery and despite emailing clearly what was missing, the wrong parts were continued to be sent out. In the end I gave up and made do. Just over a year on and the bed has collapsed due to no supporting piece of wood under the ottoman. I emailed asking for this to be sent out as I never received it in the first place and was told the bed is now out of warranty so I must pay £85 for a piece? Waste of money for a bed that lasted less than two years.

United Kingdom | 13 June 2020I ordered the Chalfont bed in late February - initially sceptical about the low price I was reassured by the positive reviews on the Sleep Design / Crazy Price Beds website so went ahead and ordered. It was delivered in early March and was faulty from the off - initially the bed creaked and shook upon the slightest movement despite my partner and weighing a combined 21 stone. Within three weeks the three support legs gave way and caused serious damage to our bedroom flooring. At this point the U.K had been put in to lockdown and as we had to continue at work, my partner and I were very busy. It took us a week to raise this complaint due to being understandably pre-occupied during these unprecedented times (we were sleeping in our spare bedroom at this point) but we were pleased to find out that SD / CPB were still operating and processing orders / refunds. They were quick to accept upon receipt of pictures and videos that the bed was faulty and to save the upheaval I initially asked them to send new hardware to see if tighter bolts, etc would solve the stability issues - it did not. At this point I requested an exchange, however following a little more research I discuss that there exists an inherent structural defect on a large proportion of this type of bed - so much so, that I am told that other companies have stopped stocking it. In light of this, I requested a refund and collection of the faulty bed instead - this was flatly refused as I had not requested it within the allowed 30 day time period. Instead despite confirming I did not want a replacement bed, one was sent out anyway. This bed has exactly the same issues and as such I have been left with two beds that I need to now dispose of - the first had to be taken apart with an angle grinder as the bolts had bent so much. I have tried contacting the company again for a refund yet my emails are now being ignored. There was no consideration at all of the crisis unfolding and how this might have affected our ability to deal with the issues in the standard 30 days. Regardless, considering the fact that this model of bed has an inherent quality issue, I’d expect most companies to accept responsibility for supplying it and sort collection and refund. To date, I am out of pocket and have had to build and take apart two beds before disposing of them at the local recycling centre. I would strongly advise anybody reading this review to avoid this company - I have recently discovered that they openly sell the same product at different prices under two different names (Sleep Design and Crazy Price Beds). On the plus side, it has served to reinforce my belief in the motto ‘buy cheap, buy twice’.

Third time lucky you would think, but the second bed is also faulty. Clearly there is no checks in place for quality control. in the midst of attempting to get a refund but this whole process has been disappointing and frustrating.
