United Kingdom | 19 June 2021Homebuyers Survey was carried out in March 2021. Quite a detailed survey and it helped me make a decision about buying the property concerned. The only negative thing was that when paying for the survey online, the surveyors bank account did not have the facility to enable my bank to check that the sort code and account number were correct so that was slightly unnerving.

I spoke to Yvonne who was absolutely fabulous throughout the whole process, really professional and always prompt in her kind replies. The Surveyor and valuer - Edward Stanley had commissioned a really thorough report for me. He was also really prompt at giving me a follow up call at my request and answered all the questions I had. Extremely professional and very knowledgeable. I honestly can't thank him enough. I can't recommend Walker Dunn highly enough, amazing customer service throughout and i'm so grateful to Edward Stanley the surveyor and for his time during our lengthy conversation on follow up call. Thanks Again Yvonne and Edward.

United Kingdom | 09 June 2021I contacted Walker Dunn as we were looking to find a high-quality surveyor who could carry out a survey as soon as possible. Whilst we did go with another surveyor in the end - solely because they could offer us a closer date - I would reccommend Walker Dunn for their service alone. I spoke to a lovely member of staff called Yvonne, who gave us (clueless first time buyers) lots of really valuable advice. When buying a house you come across a lot of solicitors, surveyors and agents giving you the 'hard sell', but Yvonne advised me based on my best interests, not the best interests of Walker Dunn, which I thought was absolutely fantastic and refreshing. She was also super responsive, which is VERY rare at the moment due to the sheer demand placed upon surveyors. If I need a survey in future, I would certainly choose WD as my first choice. :) (Location: South Yorkshire)

United Kingdom | 20 May 2021We booked a homebuyer's survey on a Thursday and they came the very next Tuesday. Morgan rang us on the Tuesday morning and explained the process, asked if we had any questions, and explained what the report would look like. He was very friendly and said we could ring him on his number before or after the report came, to ask any questions. As soon as he finished the survey, he rang us to go through what he had found, in simple, easy to understand terms. He again said we could ring him to ask him any questions at any time. Morgan told us the survey report would be with us in 3 days but it actually came the very next day! The report itself had an easy to read rating system, and the things that weren't perfect in the house were explained in detail with suggested next steps to repair them. Amazing experience for us as first time buyers, we were very happy with the friendly and professional service. Thank you very much Morgan!

Unfortunately our sellers had to take the house off the market after bamboo was found causing problems, this was highlighted in the survey. We would not have spotted it so really glad we had the survey done. Only negative was I had to chase up to get the survey sent to me after almost three weeks of it being done.

United Kingdom | 16 April 2021I was sent a quote which was comparably more than a competitor. They did match this and we were grateful. Arrangement of the survey was really quick as well. We did have a bit of a delay and lack of correspondence when asking for a follow up - they said the surveyor was on leave and this went on for over a week and wouldn't confirm when I would hear back - I had leave and sickness as reasons. The surveyor called eventually and said he wasn't working for them anymore but was helpful to go through things in simple terms. Provisions for this need to be a more thought out as we did require guidance on the details contained in the report sooner than we were advised.

The report was very cautious, althougth the option to speak to the surveyor was very helpful. To clear question the report raised; Area's moved from red to a dark amber, and not sure that untested service etc should automatically be red. Where current building code are not meet due to the age of the property, this should also include the statement either; Acceptable Will need eventual up grade Immediate action required Also one minor typographical error the house has 4 bedrooms your report advised 3.
