United Kingdom | 01 November 2015Dismayed when screen was damaged by youngster. Found LaptopScreen from Google. Site was encouraging for computer illiterate and prices seemed reasonable to give it a try. Excellent online chat reassured me that I had ordered the right screen and delivery was prompt. By taking time I found the whole experience interesting and quite simple and everything from removal of old screen to replacement and fully working took less than 1 hr. Only problem area was connecting the new video cable to the screen. I couldn't find a clear explanation of just how this fitted together and the parts are quite delicate if you make a mistake. Its a combination of careful alignment and then pushing together. A sketch showing the way they fit together would help but after you have done it you wonder what the fuss was. After installation the laptop screen showed a problem and asked if I wanted it to self repair. I confirmed yes and it did!! No subsequent problems and the screen looks as good as the original.

The only niggle was I would answer their hepdesk message early each day but they didn't reply till end of day, so delaying everything by 24 hours. We all get complaints and it is how quickly we deal with them that counts. Once we had established it wasn't me and as soon as I had given them proof that the old screen was in carriers hands the new one was despatched to me very quickly and worked fine.
