Today I submitted an order in preparation for Christmas and was not credited with the free postage that was promised to newsletter subscribers. I queried this with an email to customer services, and was answered within an hour with a very polite apology and a refund. How refreshing, and how unlike the service offered by so many other companies.

They've told me they won't refund me until they receive the order back!? How is that fair!? I don't even know where the order is. Awful company, don't bother with them. I'm now claiming refund through PayPal.

The delivery is always good with well packaged items. They are great for more unusual retro style presents or home accessories. I have found some real bargains here!

I didn't even have to pay for postage because I signed-up to receive emails - which I am always happy to check out anyway, to discover what else they have on offer. I have been telling everyone about dotcomgiftshop and will definitely be buying more gifts throughout the year. Really impressed - and also very happy that I managed to get so much for my Secret Santa budget! Thank you! Highly recommend.

United Kingdom | 26 October 2015I got there through a promotion which looked really good. The products and the website look really good so can't complain about that. Unfortunately I never got to see my products. After waiting 15 days and not receiving even an email about my products I contacted customer services. Their response was that their T&C stated that the promotion was to be used only once per household and they detected that in my case there was more than one order so they just ignored ALL of the orders. Not sure what happened there since I used it only once. Even then, fair enough, I understand their T&C. However, I'd expect customer services to resolve this and notify the customer and honour the first order. If they miss it, then attempt to resolve it when contacted. It was not the case and customer services upon contact were very rude and unhelpful and failed to resolve the matter. I did not get my products and got a rude response from their anonymous customer service agent. I will certainly not be trying to buy here again and I'd advise anyone considering buying from them to stay away.

United Kingdom | 11 February 2014I ordered 3 items via dotcomgiftshop on 31st January 2014 and paid £2.95 for their standard delivery service. Some parts of the website say deliveries should arrive within 5 working days, but one section of the website says 7 working days during sale periods. It's now 11th February 2014, which is the seventh working day and I've still not received anything. I e-mailed on Wednesday 5th February asking if I could pay extra to speed up the delivery as I needed it on or by 7th. I received a reply on 6th saying if I called to pay the extra charge they would upgrade my delivery. I called straight away but was told that if I paid the extra charge, my item would be delivered on Monday 10th! They were willing to let me pay an extra £4 but still receive my item outwith the 5 working day period quoted on some parts of the website. Quite disappointed.

The big problem in my experience is with the customer service : I'm a french customer, I apply a promotional code which reduces the shipping when I ordered. The day after, the customer service wrote me to ask me 2£ in supplement for the shipping... I've explained to my contact the promotional code and he cames back to me by telling me it was not true... Finally, after 3 or 4 emails, he didn't even recognize I was right. He should just try to make an order as a french customer and put the promotional code to realize what I was telling him was true. I thing that the less the customer service should do, it's believe what customers tell them instead of insinuate they are liars. I will never order again at this shop.

Everything arrived well packaged and on time. Having had no problems with any orders I can't comment on customer service. The website is so pretty! I could literally spend hours browsing and adding things to my wish list (great feature also) and I love getting my regular emails from them (although they do have a tendency to make my wish grow ever longer!)

United Kingdom | 13 August 2010I've used dotcomgiftshop quite a few times and i'm always very happy with the service and goods. Ordering is easy and goods are despatched quickly and always well packaged. They also send offers via email if you're signed up to their newsletter. Excellent all round.
