The house is just a few minutes from the ski resort and a few minutes from the city!

The staff at Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals were courteous, professional and responded to any question that I had pertaining to the property in a very prompt manner, even after hours. Will definitely stay at Rhododendron Rendezvous again and use Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals with any future vacation rentals.

United States | 05 December 2024The Heartstone Lodge was clearly built with a lot of heart. This house had EVERYTHING and we were happily surprised to see it already decorated so cute for Christmas. Little homey touches everywhere made it so comfortable for our two young children and their grandparents. We were lucky to get a snow day our first morning there and having such a cozy home to enjoy it made it fun to stick close to the house for the whole day.

The owners had the house decorated for Christmas which was lovely. Very clean property and the kitchen was stocked with everything you might need to make a meal. Perfect house for our family of ten. We can’t wait to come back in the spring!

I reported them in an email Items needing attention: Unable to enter property with code provided - delayed entry for 30 minutes. Difficult to reach management team. Delivery of firewood ordered with rental should have been delivered prior to arrival. Propane tank for grill not adequate to prepare one of our first meals. Propane should have been checked before arrival and new tanks provided Pillows in some beds were too thick or too thin. Pots and pans need to be replaced. Many were unusable especially ones with teflon coating. Ice maker doesn't allow cube delivery only crushed ice Gas fireplace has no exhaust. Unsafe for upstairs guests especially a baby Not enough hand towels provided for a 5 day stay Not enough teaspoons in kitchen cutlery Fridge shelves missing in door made it difficult to house all grocery items easily Upstairs toilet paper holder was completely broken and unusable. Batteries in remotes didn't work. Additional batteries should be provided Cornhole boards were available in rental even though I was told there weren't any Hair dryers were provided too - but listing indicates they weren't there. Hope this helps for other guests in the future. This was certainly not the smoothest rental for me, and I've used many other rental apps/agencies. (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.)

United States | 05 December 2024Enjoyed a beautiful and snowy Thanksgiving in this lovely house. Cozy and well stocked with plenty of space! We enjoyed ping-pong, puzzles and a picturesque view. Can’t wait to return.

United States | 05 December 2024Our family of 12 arrived at Honey Bear Haven only to find that the heat was out. When they sent someone to check on it, he told us the heat had been out for over a week. Not only did they knowingly send us to a house with no heat, we had to spend an extra $700 to stay in a hotel the first night of our 5 night stay. They did find us another house by noon the next day. Even though there were not enough beds for our family of 12 and only 2 bathrooms, we felt we had no choice but to stay there. We ask for compensation for our troubles. We wanted payment for the hotel rooms and first night rental for the unheated house. Long story short, we did not receive full compensation. I am very disappointed that first they sent us to a house with no heat and then would not fully compensate us. Had they tried to make things right in a timely manner and apologized I would not be writing this.

United States | 05 December 2024Overall a positive experience and well equipped. I think the advertising was misleading. To not have heat in the basement in the winter made it unusable. It should really be advertised as 3 bedroom 2 bath and two story cabin in winter. For that reason, we would not stay here again.

We recently spent Thanksgiving week at Good Medicine. This is our favorite place that we have ever stayed. It is beautiful, well equipped in the kitchen, fireplace is awesome, spacious and updated. I can't say enough about our wonderful experience at this place. We appreciate Blue Ridge and especially this property. Thank you

This is a great rental company to work with if you are coming to the Boone area. We travel with pets and most of their rentals are pet friendly. I always look on their website first.

United States | 05 December 2024Great house! Layout was great and the property was clean, with the exception of the main/large hot tub. The main hot tub was unusable upon check in and was not fixed for a couple days, appears someone left it uncovered and leaves sat in it for an extended period of time, and it was not checked during the home cleaning/inspection phase prior to our arrival. The staff who did clean it were awesome, and apologetic, so kudos to them for going above and beyond. We understand this was likely a one-off situation due to the fact much of their staff is still working to recover from the hurricane damage, so it will not prevent us from renting through BRMR again.
