We have used BRMR many times, as we own property in the area and come often to manage our future build. The cabins have always been beautiful, clean, and nicely equipped. Our most recent visit was in July for three weeks. My husband and I ventured out early that morning to exercise and meet with a contractor. We returned to the cabin just before 11:00 a.m. He dropped me off and turned around and left again. I entered my code into the door keypad, but it didn't work. I waited for the keypad to reset and proceeded to repeat the process several times. I was locked out. I called BRMR several times using the main number and even some direct lines. No one answered the phones. I left messages. No one called back. I had a few different telephone numbers. Same thing. No one answered or called back. I called the afterhours line. Same thing. This went on for well over an hour and a half. I had an idea to call the "Backyard Division" of BRMR, since nothing else was working. Finally, someone answered the phone. She reset the code for me, but it still didn't work until more than another 1/2 hour had passed. It was a huge inconvenience, but not earth shattering. These things happen. The reason I gave BRMR a 3 Star rating was because of the fact that no one answered the phones, responded to my texts, or called back, for over an hour and a half, all during normal operating hours. Nor, did any one reach out to me to apologize or explain, after the fact.

Customer service was excellent. We had a problem with the door lock. They were immediately responsive and resolved the issue.

This was our 5th up to eagles nest and using blue ridge mountain rentals. The experience is always easy and we will be back!

This cabin was spacious, well stocked, and had a breathtaking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It had plenty of space for three separate families (one family of 6, one set of grandparents, and one eternal bachelor) to both spend quality time together and enjoy time apart when needed. The deck was our favorite hang-out spot and we loved feeding the birds and hummingbirds. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was wonderful to work with. As usual, the cabin was well-stocked with a Keurig, towels, linens, and starter kits of soaps/sponges/detergent. There was a yellow jacket nest under the deck which resulted in a couple of stings, but it was knocked down by an exterminator within hours of reporting the issue to management. Thank you for a wonderful vacation! We are so excited to return to this cabin again in the near future, and continue to vacation through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals.

Lovely well-appointed cabin in location convenient to town and hiking. Great arrival/ check in directions and easy checkout procedure. We were very happy with our experience.

You cannot beat the in-town location for this property. Unfortunately there are a lot of updates needed inside. Living room furniture is extremely uncomfortable and worn. Bathrooms are all very small. Red cushioned chairs shown in outside photos do NOT exist. Outside area off kitchen very unkept and weedy. When sitting on the outside porch, not only are the Ragged Garden dumpsters in clear view, but their smell can be experienced frequently. Lots of current construction in the area. We have rented this unit twice but, as communicated with the rental managers, we will not be staying again.

Very easy to deal with. Trash was left by a previous guest and once the agent was notified it was picked up quickly.

A great family vacation on Beech Mountain at this house. We enjoyed our stay.

17 of us stayed in The Lodge. My wife got stung by yellow jackets 2x. They had built a huge nest under the deck. It took 3 days for the exterminator to come out. The bike machine didn't power on. The lights in the swimming pool didn't work properly. There was pornographic material left on the PS4. The tv remotes were stupid to figure out and half the TVs didn't work properly or respond to the remotes. The A/C stopped working properly and they brought us box fans! The HVAC guy never showed up to diagnose and fix the problem. I could go on, but I can't recommend this company as a rental/property management company.

Very good experience at A River Mist Walk. This cabin was exceptionally clean. Can't say enough about the heated floors in the bathrooms as well as showers with no doors. Very large tub as well if you wanted to enjoy that experience. One suggestion would be to find another home for the pool table upstairs and replace it with a nice bed versus the current sleeper sofa. King bed was very comfortable in the master bedroom and the walk in closets in both sleeping areas was a plus. The expansive downstairs living room and kitchen was very nice. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware, cutlery etc. Hot tub was nice but definitely needs a new cover. Nice walk around porch with plenty of doors to the outside. Nice fire pit to use as well as the outside gas grill. This cabin also has a stand by generator fueled by natural gas which I assume works. While there were other houses kind of close it was still mostly private especially with the leaves on the trees. Close enough to the river to even hear it. Only about a 25 minute drive to downtown Boone. Google maps took us straight to the Cabin. A relaxing vacation starts with a nice home away from home and this cabin fits the bill.

The location is great as is the cabin. This was our third year. Understand it will not be available next summer. Too bad.

I had some difficulty interpreting instructions for entering the gated community, but the customer service was great and the staff person stayed on the phone with me all the way up the mountain to make sure that we got into the house easily. Which we did. The house was spotless and extremely well stocked. We have a Subaru and had no difficulty getting up the steep gravel drive but there were holes and ruts indicating that other vehicles might find it difficult or impossible to make it all the way to the front door. There is room to park with a short walk for those whose cars can't make it. A beautiful house with a great view obviously for short term rentals --no closets and no way to hang clothes in the bedrooms. Not a problem for most, but we had a tuxedo and evening gown and other clothes that needed hanging. Not having a bathroom on the same floor as the master bedroom meant that we gave up a king-size bed for a queen bed upstairs next to a bathroom (we are of the age that it makes a difference). But even with these quirks, it is an amazing house and we enjoyed every minute. It is obviously well maintained and cared for.

It was beyond our expectations. The house was beautiful and very clean. The kitchen was modern with excellent appliances and a huge center island for preparing meals. Loved the view of the lake at our doorstep. Bathrooms were up to date with relaxing showers. We have nothing negative to say about this rental.

While the house was just fine on the inside when it came to the accommodations, the listing did NOT match the property in a few key areas. First, there was no mountain view unless you peeked through a tiny gap in a special way. The pictures were clearly a misrepresentation. It should not be advertised as having a mountain view. Second, there was no outside fire table - something we were specifically looking for and was on the listing. In fact, there was no table on the deck at all - we had nothing to put food and drink on - and the patio furniture cushions were old and stained. Third, the place wasn't cleaned well. There were several areas where things had been left behind by the previous guests and the trash cans were completely full. We couldn't use them to throw any trash away until we made a call for it to be picked up. Fourth, it's clear the house was given the castoffs from their home. While it's understandable the furniture was the way it was because of it being dog-friendly, refrigerator was duct-taped and missing shelves, the cookware was unusable, and the toaster should be thrown out tomorrow. The outside grill also needs to be cleaned big-time. Fifth, our code didn't work when we got there and it took a half-dozen calls to resolve. It's clear someone made a lazy error. We were given a code with seven digits when it only took six. As a result of all of this, our vacation experience was diminished because we rented this property from you.

Our cabin was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the amenities inside Eagles Nest, the playground, amphitheater, volleyball court, and basketball. This was a last minute getaway and the whole process went smooth from the booking to the arrival to check out. We will stay here again. Thank you for a relaxing weekend.

The home We rented for 26 days was awesome. The BRRC We rented it from was the best. Always answered and replied to our requests in a timely manner as well. Thank you

The house was beautiful and the location was perfect. This was our 7th annual besties trip to the Boone area. We've stayed in places with great views but this place is so close to town and we loved that. Things I would suggest are: 1) better lighting in the living room. We have big readers in our group and the lighting is dim. 2) more seating in the living room. If a place "sleeps 8 or 9 then it should "sit" 8 or 9 all at once. I found this to be true a a bunch of the places we looked at. 3) the TV is small and awkwardly placed. We hardly ever watch TV on our trips but many people enjoy movie nights. Blue Ridge Mountain Rental was wonderful to work with. They are very responsive. They let us in early and let us stay late on our departure day. Also, two of us left our personal pillows and not only did the ship them to us for free, they washed the pillow cases before they sent them back.

Great house, very clean and new. Well equipped and comfortable. Amazing views from both balconies. Short walk to the pool but 10 min winding drive to the restaurant and gym, 15 minutes to the gate and 30 min to downtown Boone. WiFi was painfully slow. Hot tub was lovely.
