I bought a trench hawk from Cold Steel. It arrived damaged, the fittings that hold the blade to handle were scored and looked like they had been secured by someone using the wrong tool or a malfunctioning machine. I contacted customer service with a picture and said I wasn’t happy. I was not rude, I was direct about the issue. I received what can only be described as an adversarial, patronising and apathetic response telling me that the product is not a toy, is meant for functional applications and so they all come like this. The tone of the response was shocking. This was my first purchase from cold steel. As a customer I pointed out that my product arrived damaged, and was responded to in a rude manor, in a way that communicated a lack of care regarding my experience and the quality of my product and that cold steel products (in the eyes of the company) can arrive this way because they are tools which makes absolutely no sense. Using this logic, if I buy a coat online and it comes torn and frayed this is fine because this will happen to it eventually anyway. Bringing this up is some kind of sign that I am not actually going to wear the coat anyway so who cares what I think, and it is good practice to be rude and to tell me all the coats come damaged. So unprofessional. I do not recommend this company and I will never buy anything from them again. Total shambles.

Really happy with my shovel needed a bit of a sharpen but would still do the job as it comes.

Normal excellent service, the Gladius is something else, very interesting for people that study Ancient Rome, I’ve used it as a Machete, how strong were these soldiers, Cold Steel thoroughly recommend.
