United Kingdom | 13 April 2023The bed came with a fault and they ordered us another part (albeit ordering the wrong part to begin with) but it was all sorted and the nice man in customer services kept us informed every step of the way. Beautiful bed for the price. They even offered to come and for the part but we did it ourselves.

United Kingdom | 12 April 2023I was buying a 2,221.00 sofa, in witch, i had to cancel, cos me and my husband are splitting up, i payed 445.00 deposit, to be told i will lose my deposit, as the sofa was being made, And was going to be shipped out to me, i live on the isle of wight, funny, cos when i checked the tracking on my sofa, still at there factory,not made up yet. Plus it was not going to be here at the end of May, June this year 2023. I already brought a Tempur mattress from them, in witch cost me near 2 thousand pounds, and very happy with it. But with the sofa i cancel, you can't tell me, they can not sale it. They are making loads of money out of people, if you want to cancel there items, i will be taken this further Not leaving it. As 445.00 is a lot of money to lose, i am very angry. Mrs J Dowie.

United Kingdom | 06 March 2023Bought a 2 and 3 seat electric recliner. One of the seats was flat from the start. They came out and fixed it right away. Told them that the other seats seem to be doing the same thing. I was told they will fix one more seat at a cost of £200+. The furniture was 10 months old then but I was told it is wear and tear as it is coming on a year. It is a year now and I am looking for new furniture soon. £2500 for a years use is not good in my opinion. I will never buy from here again. I went into the shop a month ago asking if they are going to do anything and was told the manager will contact me. I have heard nothing from them so this is why I am putting this review on. My advice is STAY CLEAR of this company. It was bought from the Newport, Isle of Wight shop but they have other shops around the Island. Hope this helps someone.

United Kingdom | 23 February 2023We had a suite delivered but after moving one of the sofas a month later we noticed a problem. Solent beds sent someone out straight away. They then sent an assessor. It was confirmed the sofa was definitely broken. Rather than wait for it to be repaired Solent asked if we would accept a new one. We did accept this and also asked if e could upgrade to an electric recliner. Nothing was too much trouble. Jamie contacted us regularly to jerp us up to date on production. I cannot fault them!

United Kingdom | 01 January 2023Stay Clear.. faulty mattresses not even lasted a year, they ignore you and robbed you! I went in to Solent beds in Newport 06/06/2021 and got advice from a Sam Webster on the best mattress for my back. I was sold apparently the best mattress they had which were his words! It is absolute hell and agony causing neck and back pain and now suffering with problems on prescribed medication for the pain! I had to go to my local authority for help to obtain a temporary replacement mattress due referral from my gp due to the state this faulty mattress was doing to my body and mental health due to insomnia from constant agony!! The mattress was delivered on 31/08/2021 and from late February 2022 last year I sent many emails to have no response and I called you timelessly to promised a call back to never get any phone call back every single time! Now resulting in a final email and now obtaining legal advice and building a case up should I take you to court! I also am debating should I report you to trading standards and will be asking my legal advisor in respect of this. You have ripped me off and damage my back! I have had a friend of a friend to look at this mattress of which they are ann ex employee of a very well known and highly reputable mattress manufacturing company and they have assured me that this mattress has a number of faults with it one of which is the pocket springs failing on support and contour and this is common with pocket sprung mattresses. You are either constantly are dipped into the middle of the bed, rolling in the middle or have springs digging into every single part of your body. This mattress was very well cared for with a complete cover on it to protect it, I followed your guidance you gave upon purchasing it, therefore it is nothing I did and have been reassured it is not me! Should I NOT receive a response to my recent complaint email dated 25/12/22 by 16/01/22 and receive my money back in full with compensation and a explanation as to why you have chosen not to respond to any forms of communication you have been sent or I called failed to return a callback consistently over a year ago now up till present, I shall look to sue you for all damages, miss selling goods/faulse advertising, up selling products that are not fit for purpose, the sale of faulty goods and claim for all damages that have been caused by this mattress and negligence of you as service providers. You state on your website “a mattress should last you years”!!! Well your faulty goods don’t even last a year! I purposely got advice from your team to ensure the correct mattress was chosen and how to maintain it of which I follow rigorously to a detail! I would never buy from you again and I would suggest that people avoid like the plague! I now will be discussing with my legal representative the best way to go about this!

We were looking for a mattress after our landlady told us she purchased here and we thought they may ship to the mainland. Although they don’t a friendly member of staff tried a store on the mainland to see if we could purchase it there and when this wasn’t possible found some online retailers we could look at. It’s unusual to find such a great level of service when there is no sale involved so we just wanted to say thanks and well done!

They kept to their delivery timetables and the delivery guys were great. The furniture is a good quality. Downside - communication with their office is poor I emailed to ask about pricing before I made my purchase which was some 10wks ago now and they never replied at all. A little bit pricey on comparison. I could've gotten furniture of an equal quality delivered from the mainland for a bit cheaper but wanted to try and support a local shop. Had finance not been an option I would've shopped elsewhere.

Such a friend and helpful company, with amazing showrooms, and products, you’re spoilt for choice! We’ve purchased a Hypnos bed from them already, but needed a replacement sofa quite urgently for my pregnant wife, and I’m please to say that Solent Beds did not disappoint! Expecting to wait up to 24 weeks for delivery, we went in there not expecting to get what we wanted, however, within minutes, Sam (Newport store) was able to help us find exactly what we needed, and in stock! No pressure to buy like you get on the mainland, just friendly and happy to go above and beyond to make you one happy customer! The next day, we had our sofa delivered! Now that is what I can first class service! Never ever buy from the likes or Argos, The Range, or Dunelm, as they usually use the same cheap supplier, which break within days, like what happened to us. Solent Beds really is the one and only place that you should visit for your furniture needs! Thank you again for all your help!
