The site itself was so easy to use. Finding a hotel that suited our needs for the dates we required with the facilities we wanted & the show we wanted to see. We even got to choose our seats at the show.

Hotel was great, show was great but train travel was shocking !! Me and my wife are disabled but because our return train was massively overbooked we had to stand all the was home. It was the most uncomfortable journey I have ever taken. LNER staff on board were moaning they were short staffed and the train was over booked but as far as I was concerned I paid for a service which massively under delivered!!!

ABBA Voyage booked through Hotel Direct . This made it so easy to book because you could get the tickets and hotel all booked at the same time. The Hotel was Top Quality and the show was Amazing ! We had a fantastic weekend Thank-You

Our four day break was made all the more enjoyable by the effective, efficient, professional and friendly staff at Hotel Direct. We feared the worst when a week before we were due to leave a national rail strike for that day was announced. Hotel Direct sorted everything without any problems to us whatsoever. 😊 Great friendly and professional staff providing a great service from start to finish.

Easy to book - everything was arranged without a hitch - we even got an email informing us our train was running as normal and not affected by the strikes... I would definitely book again - overall excellent.

I think the initial booking process was very easy and professional. The information was emailed quickly and the staff were able to give good tips about where best to seat in a theatre. We were very disappointed about the hotel room booking, as we were under the impression that we booked a 5 star hotel (a long the description of the hotel we booked) and we expected to be in a room that reflected 5 star style and comfort, but sadly that was not the case and we had to raise the matter with the hotel and the staff were very good and gave us an upgrade. Next time if we book with Hotel Direct, we will make sure that if we have booked 5 star hotel that we have a 5 star room and not a 'bog standard' basic room in a 5 star hotel.

I booked a weekend theatre break with intention of seeing two shows…. due to unavailability on one show I had to contact hotel direct to change the date on one of the shows. I did this within 20mins of making the booking, the seats and show remained the same, I just changed the date which hotel direct arranged for me (it took over 5 days) by contacting the theatre. When initially booking the package I searched for double rooms, unknowingly I apparently selected a double room that was classed as a ‘twin/double - whichever available’. This was not clear on the site but was later pointed out to me that did show on my first confirmation email. When I changed the showing the second confirmation email sent to me clearly stated under the hotel details as ‘double room’. As this was the latest up to date confirmation I assumed the room was a double as there was no mention of a ‘twin room depending on availability’. On arrival at the hotel they had no double rooms and could only offer us a twin. I contacted hotel direct who handled my query badly! They were argumentative and confrontational refusing to take any responsibility for the mistake and kept insisting that I had selected a twin/double room even though my recent confirmation stated a ‘double’ room. They advised this was an error down to an automated system that had decided to send me confirmation of rooms I had ‘searched for’. Thankfully the hotel (Tavistock Hotel) recognised the mistake by hotel direct and was sympathetic to our needs (a birthday celebration for my partner) so displayed great customer service and eventually sorted us a double room as requested. I made a complaint to hotel direct but received the same awful responses that concentrated too much on placing blame and avoiding responsibility rather than showing empathy and understanding to a customers needs. I will never use hotel direct again and simply contact the theatres and hotels separately to avoid issues. Whatever you do though…. Don’t make a mistake on your booking! Apparently there are fees and costs for putting these right, even though their automated system is allowed to make mistakes and send out incorrect confirmation emails!

I cannot recommend Hotel Direct enough. When I had a problem with my initial booking today (my mistake), Chris at Hotel Direct went above and beyond to solve it for me. Chris was an absolute perfect ambasador for Hotel Direct and I will be using them again.
