United Kingdom | 14 February 2025UPDATE I’ve now had a reply to my review from Appliances Direct advising that DPD delivered my order on 29th January (which was the day I placed the original order), the incompetence is absolutely incredible given I had an email yesterday confirming cancellation of my order. 3k worth of appliances ordered on 28th January to be delivered 13th February, received an email the week before delivery to change delivery date to 20th February, after discussion with the kitchen fitter we agreed on the new delivery date on the basis that there could be no further delays which was made clear to Appliances Direct in writing, further email from them today 14th February with another new delivery date of 26th February. Why take the order and payment when they can’t deliver???? Cancelled order and requested a refund.

Paid for unpack and removal of old freezer, driver was going to leave new freezer wrapped in middle of garage, told him he was to unpack remove rubbish etc told they don’t do that, persuaded that he would reluctant to take packaging handle not fitted, freezer still wrapped plugged it in not levelled said don’t move it for 4 hours. Nothing to sign told him needed to check all ok not interested. Just left. Why did I pay for this or delivery which was advertised free hours after placing order??

United Kingdom | 14 February 2025I have bought from Appliance Direct on two previous occasions, paid and received the good no issue. I bought a dehydrator from them. I received yesterday 13/02/2025, in 2 separate consignments even though bought and paid for at the same time. Not much of an issue the waybill did say 3 items, they were 2 plastic trays (packaged separately) for fruit rolls and the actual machine. The advert states in the info, specifications and what you get when buying the dehydrator. 14 stainless steel trays INCLUDED. Even the pictures show them.(nb I have screen shots in case the try removing or disabling the advert) What you receive is a machine that looks like the picture except no shelves. The college you talk to is not at all interested offers a discount you to source your own shelves when you press the issue he then asks is it for the missing shelves, I have just been talking to him for 20 minutes about the missing shelves. I asked for a manager and was put on hold and kept on hold, waiting for a manager. To eventually be told that a manager will contact me within 2 hours. I then stated to the colleague that his manager had to be persistent as mobile reception is not always reliable in my area, he then stated that the manager would contact me in 24 hours. I requested that he clarify the timing of the call back and changed his mind to 2 hours. I unfortunately had to take an important call, I asked the colleague to please hold as I need to speak to my doctor, and I would be back with them shortly. I literally was 32 seconds and your colleague after making me wait, for 45 minutes hung up. So no further forward. Do not expect customer service from them.

My freezer arrived quickly and the delivered to my garage as I requested by courteous drivers. I would definitely recommend.

I got a delivery date for Friday 14th Feb, and I was probably the first person they visited as they called at 7am. Then I was informed my old fridge was not collected because ' there was no space in the van for it' Absolutely ridiculous.. I told them come back then at the afternoon, once everything else is delivered and pick it up, I was told NO. and that I can either get a refund or a get it rescheduled for Monday.. Not ideal having a fridge in the flat standing there until Monday, but I was left with no other option but to accept it; I asked for a refund for the inconvenience, which they clearly said NO to. Then when I wanted to raise a complaint then I was told 'it will be dealt with internally' Shocking. This company could not care less about their customers. Very disappointed. Gave 2 stars because at least the new fridge was delivered on the date it was scheduled for. Very unhappy customer. Repelling customer service. Update: It is Monday morning, collectors came at 7:45 and REFUSED to take my fridge again, for the exact same reason 'no space in the van' That is unacceptable. Have not seen such an unorganised company
