United States | 03 March 2025For one the mobile app is not great, difficult to navigate and to make payments from non genisys accounts, also for some reason a couple times a year they decide to loose your biometric login data forcing you to recover a password you haven't used in months and of course you can't validate your account without going in your folder and having your member id handy. Why can't I just answer my security questions? Seriously just check out bank of America's app and hit copy script and change the colors and logos guys it's not that hard.

United States | 09 February 2025Calling the Marysville office and leaving a message to have someone call back. We have left a couple messages and no one ever calls us back. It’s very frustrating. I know it can get busy but someone should return the phone call. This is a frequent occurrence here.

United States | 28 December 2024Genysis is claiming that I cancelled my gap insurance policy when I NEVER did. They claim that they refunded me and then adjusted my monthly note to reflect it when my note has been the same monthly since I moved my loan from M.first to them!! They have no adjustment price on the first form but there’s one on the second but it reflects the amount I’ve ALWAYS been paying. I’ve asked them for weeks to give me proof that I signed away my gap and they said they didn’t have it.MULTIPLE agents told me that they didn’t have one for me. Other agents told me they didn’t see where I had cancelled ANYTHING, EVER!! Lo and behold this week after dealing with this since Nov 26th they came back a few days ago and said they don’t require a signature and then all of a sudden FRIDAY claim they FOUND the forms and they sent me over two forms that I’ve never seen IN MY ENTIRE LIFE for two different years claiming that I signed them when I for one FOR SURE WOULD HAVE NEVER SIGNED AWAY MY GAP and for two BOTH signatures are the exact same and I don’t have a signature! I sign my signature COMPLETELY different EVERY single time I sign ANYTHING! ALWAYS HAVE!! They are CROOKS and we will be going to court because I refuse to pay them A DIME for thier error of canceling my gap insurance and them being shady enough to create fake documents!!!! That’s SO LOW!! Just pay the remaining 3k and leave me alone because you will never get another DIME from me!! YOU ALL KNOW I NEVER E-SIGNED THAT!!

United States | 27 August 2024This place is absolutely awful for car loans. They randomly raised my minimum payment without notifying me at all. I checked everything. I had my payment set on autopay and so I now have an overdue balance since it was raise slightly more than what I had my auto payment set at for zero reason. I’ve tried contacting them every day for two weeks now and have yet to speak to anyone nor have I receive an email back. This company is awful. How can I fix something if no one will speak with me?

United States | 08 August 2024Genisys responded to this review, by saying a Manager would call me. Please note I have yet to receive that call. When I finally receive that call I will come in an edit the review. This is the worst financial institution I have ever dealt with, I'm going to pay off the the car loan tomorrow, because I just can't deal with them anymore. They feel that they have the right to tell me when and what type of insurance I need. This a loan on my winter vehicle and I'm only allowed 6 months to have it in storage. Mind you it's not like I have zero insurance on it. I have fire and theft what more do I need it is parked in my garage for the summer. They do not take electronic transfer of funds from Vibe Credit Union, and Vibe is not the only. So, I agree to stop payment on a check, per their direction, and give them access to pull my monthly payments, they then wave the late fee and all seems good. What was I thinking!!! They receive the check that was lost in the mail due to the holidays the same day or the next day and without missing a beat because they now have access to my account they withdrawal the amount of the check, the late fees, and bounced check fees. There has been only one time I have been able to get on there website without error. Please save yourself the frustration and do business with some other financial institution.

United States | 17 June 2024In February 2024, I used the ATM to transfer 500. from my checking acct. at Credit Union One to my savings account. After getting a receipt,which I know longer have, I waited a month or so to check my savings acct. and place 110. dollars into the account, in April checking my acct. again, there was nothing in the acct. I have since changed my savings acct. number, contacted and notified CUOne, I do understand I cannot trace this information or prove anything, I know I did not close the account. The acct was closed. I ask you to clean up your system and employees. I am so happy I did not transfer anymore. i will not use your ATM again. Thank you, DLColeman THIS TRANSACTION HAPPENED AT THE ATM ON N. Can you please provide your employees with an understanding that the Customer comes first. From the face to face to the ATM experience & let's not forget about your IT department. I thought the call waiting thing was just a little faze after this whole covid thing but nah, it's still a thing. And customer service hahaha _______

United States | 29 October 2023WORST BANK EVER! I bought a camper and the company used this bank and they never sent any information or my welcome packet to me about my loan. I had to drive 2 hours just for someone to assist me in finding out my account information. Once I had the information I go to make a payment on my loan and they take 2 payments instead of one. Instead of taking the amount in the confirmation email. What a joke. I will never make an online payment again. Will be waiting for my coupon book to mail them checks. But who knows they will probably wash my checks to change the amount since they changed the amount the first. DO NOT USE THIS BANK!

United States | 16 October 2023We got a loan through them for a camper and that was a mistake it seems. I used their online system to send a message and be contacted but all they did was send an email saying they couldn’t help and needed me to call. That’s was the point of the email, to get a call from them. I have been on hold for an hour and have not had any luck with their callback system. I’ll have to pay my note but I do not know my account number because it was not on any of the paper work and the info provided will not allow me to create an account. I absolutely do not recommend using this credit union if you want customer support.

United States | 23 September 2023Been banking with them for years my whole family have been banking with there life.. after today moving to a different credit union and it has open everybody in my family's eyes that place is a joke they're out for their selves and do not help their customers that have been with them for a long time.. I would invest in vibe or Michigan credit Union..

They turned away from their loyal customers recently and just figured out ways to pile on the fee's until it just wasn't plausible to stay any longer. Be very careful before you join. If you're looking for customer service this is not the place for you.

I have been with Genisys double-digit years and in all that time, whichever branch I have gone into for service, the staff are welcoming, upbeat, knowledgeable and kind. Thank you!

United States | 02 April 2023I applied for a debt consolidation loan and the financial officer told me that they wrote it up as a usd car loan RATE to give me a lower rate. What happened is they attached a lien to my car (which I own and have clear title) and did not tell me. I talked to a young man in the loan dept and he never returned my calls. This credit union is very dysfunctional and they lie to you and then say you agreed to the lien. I'm going to try one more time to change the terms of the loan, if they refuse I may have to take legal action. I hope we can settle this easily.

United States | 26 January 2023Had good relationship with them forever I was giving them my direct deposits for 10yrs then I got "car loan" which was the only thing they would ever give me after all that time they was my worse and lowest credit card not to mention with the highest interest then i caught covid asked them for help they instantly turned nasty and into a regular big bank on me everybody turned rube instantly. They keep tacking on that insurance putting me deeper in the whole with them I told them I was in trouble months in advanced before the wave was going hit. They could of care less told them to come get the car and it sat for like 4months just tacking on insurance in further smh what a disaster. Tried to sell the car to caravan and they messed that up for me too this bank is my number one biggest problem financially. Took me 10years to realize they wasn't a good bank but when I first signed up with them I didn't know any better.

Then I get locked out of my card, & no one in customer service could assist to unlock it. Also, I’m often being told to use my “My card control” app but it still has not been fixed to reflect my cards.

United States | 28 December 2022I sent in my Mortgage payment via US MaiI. I wrote the amount payable for a positive $2, yes, $2 over. I was told by a Bank representative they had to return the check because of the wrong amount was written. I get it but, here we go. I got the paperwork over the Holliday weekend and, the bank was closed. Monday also closed due to a Federal Holliday. So, I’m stressed out, I got a hold of a Bank Rep. they charged me late fees. Again, I wrote the check wrong, $2 over what was required. Why not put the positive $2 towards my principal? This Bank refunded my late fees but, the kicker, lol, they charged me $15 to make the payment over the phone. Did it really cost this Billion dollar company to not deviate. That’s why banks are rich. This is a mind blower. Take your money. We are talking $15 for a phone call I was already talking too this Customer Service rep. For me? I’m in the real estate business and it’s not doing well🤪 $15 buys me food. This bank would not credit me $15 for making my payment over the phone. This may seem petty, but, really? You already have my account pulled up and my bank information. Merry Christmas. I’m thinking of moving my accounts. The saying is that as a Member of a Credit Union, you are a Member, not a account. lol
