for what you do it is fine, however for deeper accounting and an understanding of costs per vendor it's not even close to what is needed. But it's a nice start.

I think Bench is a great program. It is so much easier to use QB. It does require your input the same way if you were working with any other bookkeeper. To maximize it, you'll want to thoroughly check your transactions at the beginning and then less as time goes on. The great thing about this program is that you avoid the endless back and forth emailing that normally goes with bookkeeping. You can simply click and easily comment and upload docs. It dramatically reduces your time investment. Also, the bookkeepers at Bench are very responsive and knowledgeable.

Bench is an excellent bookkeeping service. We have a good relationship with someone from Bench who takes care of our needs and the technology is very user friendly. Coming from Quickbooks, it has made our bookkeeping much more easier and more pleasant!

I like using Bench for outsourcing my bookkeeping, but I’ve requested some updates that haven’t been implemented such as: 1) updating colors to better communicate what is good (green) vs bad (orange / red) in the reports. 2) anytime a Bench team member uploads a screenshot it’s too small and pixelated and worthless to use as a result. 3) documents upload doesn’t show upload history. 4) Mobile app doesn’t allow me to make comments on transactions. There are just a bunch of rust spots like these that make it lack an overall 5-star experience. If they improve those requests then I may consider changing to 5 stars.

My agent Shahrad is great -- very helpful and responsive. But the service in general needs a slightly more hands-on aspect to bring the value of its bookkeeping to a higher level for a small company like ours; to put the various outputs in context and allow us to take full advantage of the platform.

I was refunded the annual full amount for a service that I didn't use. Bench customer support is always encouraging and helpful. I enjoy engaging with them and can always count on them to figure things out.
