Is this even a real company? I tried to buy their insurance but their payment platform wasn't working. I therefore called up and waited 45 minutes listening to awful music before my phone batterh died. I'm suspicious as there was no "you are # in line" or " your wait time is". Reading below, I wonder whether they don't actually have anyone minding the call lines at all. I feel bad for anyone who actually got a policy with them- I'm going elsewhere!

it is imposible to get in touch to someone need to change my car as i sold my car a week ago i try to change car but online portal has technical issue live chat nobody answers and on the phone even if you wait 3-4 hours still nobody answers absolutly joke

Please stay away! Listen to others experience and advise. I didn’t, that’s why I’m here crying! Better to pay more elsewhere for your peace of mind! I have only just joined them, but already been threatened by 7 days notice to provide documentation or they’ll cancel my policy, which will obviously affect the next insurance! This was via email which I could have easily missed! I am being treated like a criminal and they are pretending they want to make sure they have correct information. Not really . I only just moved addresses when I joined them. So during the process I kept forgetting and using the old address then changed to the new. Also I wanted to add my sister to my policy, but then not sure what happened so had to reapply but later they wouldn’t give me a quote with her details, so decided to do it solo as I was desperate for insurance. But now they are claiming that I had provided different details so they want to confirm they have my correct information. I am already insured and I can see my details are correct. Why not tell me they are suspicious of me instead of pretending they are just confirming? Also, I was involved in accident when I was with my previous insurance company, which was not my fault. I have email evidence to prove this and bank statement as I even got a pay out. However, they have found out I was at fault. Very strange indeed! They think they are doing a good job with their fraud checks, but not! They are just causing upset! Very useless and detecting nonsense! They are asking for far too many proofs and they don’t want online print outs. So within 7 days, a day less now, I have to ask my bank etc to send me paper statements. I’m still waiting for for my new log book and license from DVLA. Time bomb is ticking! I want to cancel but I’m worried about getting my money back now!!! Please avoid like a plague and pay extra elsewhere. Not worth your mental health! Fatuma Gabriel (Wouldn’t let me use my email)

The worst insurance company I’ve ever come across ,I’ve been trying to get in contact for last 1 month all I get is hold for hours and thanks for your patience, I feel like it’s a fake company .

absolutely disgusting company. trying to blame me for a crash an old named driver on an old policy of mine had, whilst under her own policy. ive provided proof but they dont want to accept it and have given me 3 days to pay more for an accident that has nothing to do with me, pay to cancel the policy or have them enforce a cancellation and effect my insurance. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I can't believe how long it takes to get through to this company few times I had to wait for nearly 2 hours to speak to someone this is horrible and the the call handles not very helpful at all the times I have called. I rather buy a policy more expensive form a proper insurance company then this terrible company. Believe me stay away.

I've never experience a worst car insurance company in all my 30 years of driving they don't answer your calls they want this information which I've sent numerous times I suffer anxiety and they ruined Christmas for me stay away

Toyota car insuarance services is the worst . After buying a policy they debited £85.05 from my account then after 2 days they changed the price , when I contacted them for a refund all I have been getting is emails of lies, they sad they would refund after investigation its now a month , they do not pick calls or return calls, total rip off keep away

I have insured with Toyota Insurance since I bought my present car new, 9 years ago: despite it being far from the cheapest. I wanted to ensure any repair work would be done to Toyota standards by my excellent local Toyota agent, with whom I have dealt for over 30 years, The only previous incident – several years ago – was dealt with very efficiently. I had not realised the management changed last year. The catalytic convertor from the exhaust was stolen from the ‘Police Mark’ Secure East Midlands Airport Car park whilst we were away on holiday. The first communication said the work could be done by my agent – who already had the vehicle. Later the same day I was told it would be collected by an unknown firm 18 miles away, repaired & returned. On hearing of my election to have the work done by my agent, I was told an engineer would have to approve this & it could take up to ’10 working days’. Despite 3 phone calls from myself & 3 from the agent with several promises to ‘escalate’ the process, the insurer only got round to viewing the vehicle (by photo) on the afternoon of the 10th day (i.e., two full weeks): during which I was carless. It was a very simple claim & the agent was only charging for 1.5 hours work. It seems clear to me the delay was quite deliberate & I will be going elsewhere for insurance in future.

This is clearly a no-fault accident which I am fully insured for. However Toyota motor insurance insisted I pay £600 to the repairers in order to get my car back. Then despite having legal protection insurance Toyota motor insurance wrote to me to say I should claim this back myself from the third party. After much prevarication they appointed a solicitor at their expense once the solicitor claimed the money back Toyota simply ignored my requests to refund the monies I had already paid out. It got to the stage where I had to threaten legal action and to date I have not received any response to this letter of intent. And of course I have not received the money owing to me.

Not only are these guys the worst insurance company I've dealt with, they are probably the worst COMPANY i've dealt with! Multiple requests for extra I.d. documents, coupled with waits on the phone for an hour, isn't how a company should operate. I made a slight error on my application and they have upped my premiums,please pay extra and AVOID!

I will be reporting Toyota Insurance service to the relevant watchdog for fraudulent behaviour. We insured my fiancée's old car three days ago, and today have replaced it with another car. Everything sorted immediately except the insurance. Despite attempting multiple times to make the amendments on the portal (which now doesn't work at all), the changes did not go through. A 1.5 hour call to them resulted in being cut off as it was answered, and a following call wasn't answered either. The "helpful' answer message says to go to the chat system, which is of course ignored; and the "call back service" hasn't materialised. So we have a new car which is stuck at the seller's house as it's uninsured. Pitiful, dreadful, fraudulent and disgusting behaviour. I should have known better than to trust a company which produces rattly, gutless, s**t boxes barely disguised as automobiles, but their quote was the cheapest - and now I know why. If an inept moron from the company attempts to contact me via this site, then I will be absolutely sure to ignore them, as frankly they should be dealing with their clients' enquiries first rather than trying to chase good reviews.

Please people stay away from toyota insurance! You can’t get help when you have accidents at all , I had an accident which was not my fault but this insurance service didn’t help at all I don’t have a car for almost a month they said my car is write-off but they don’t even have me half amounts of my car . Claimes department your ripping off hope you close your business soon !

AVOID like the plague. Cannot access policy documents as every time you try to log in it says “error retrieving policies”. Nobody answers the phone and nobody speaks to you on live chat. I have raised a complaint and I’ll be escalating it to the FOS due to their refusal to provide proof of insurance. I’m convinced this is a scam website and I have to check online everyday to make sure my car is showing as insured on the motor insurers database.

Do not buy insurance off these people. I had a no fault accident. I’ve had to arrange the repairs and courtesy car through companies that work for them. Courtesy car company took the car back and kept ringing me to say I still had it!!! I’m in serious pain due to an accident. Toyota insurance said they can’t do anything and I have to contact their legal team to see if I can get a medical appointment any sooner than on NHS. I’m constantly on hold to the legal team for over an hr then cut off. I asked if I paid for any medical treatment, would I be reimbursed. Told probably not!!!

Oh my god. Seriously AVOID!!! In 35 years of car insurance this company is a complete joke. They needed documentary proof in order to proceed with the application, which I sent. Once. Twice. 3 times now. And they still sent letters and emails threatening to cancel my insurance (with associated costs) saying that my emails are not getting through. Phone support - expect a 45 minute delay at least. Message support - 45 minutes and waiting (again). Cannot believe that Toyota allow their name to be associated to such a car crash of a company. Pun intended.

I have been contacting this company for over a week now up to 6 calls a day and 40mins no Answer No way of cancelling this opening a case with trading standards
