EVER USE THE RELOCATION SERVICE There is no other word to describe them but scammers! My girlfriend and I did a relocation of a van from Sydney to Perth. When we picked it up, my girlfriend asked if we could pay for full insurance to avoid any issues, to which the employees responded that the car was already fully covered. Later, when I arrived, I asked the same question, and they gave the same answer: “If the accident is your fault, you are responsible; otherwise, we take care of it.” While on the road, a rock hit the windscreen, leaving a mark. We immediately called them, and they reassured us that we were covered. When we arrived in Perth, we asked again, and they repeated the same thing. A week later, they withdrew $600 from the bond without notifying us. Their response was that it was a “misunderstanding.” Simply put, they are COMPLETE SCAMMERS! THIEVES! We are starting legal proceedings with consumer protection services because they refuse to take responsibility or return the money

I recently did an 8-day relocation from Sydney to Perth with this company, and I have to say, it’s been a nightmare. Before picking up the vehicle, I read through the contract and decided to pay for full coverage because I didn’t want to risk being charged for any damages later. When I arrived at the Sydney office, the lady told me that full coverage was included for relocations, which I thought was great. I paid a $1,000 bond and left, thinking everything was sorted. However, a few days into the trip, a stone hit the windscreen and left a mark. I called Cruisin right away, and they told me not to worry about it and that I could fill in the forms when I returned the vehicle. When I got to Perth, I filled out all the paperwork and asked again if I’d need to pay for the windscreen damage. For the second time, I was told I had full coverage and that I wouldn’t be charged for it. A few days later, I get an email saying that only $422 of my $1,000 bond would be refunded because of the windscreen damage. I was shocked, considering I’d been told multiple times that I had full coverage. I’ve emailed them several times, but the only response I get is a generic “sorry” with no real resolution. They’ve given me wrong information at every step, and it feels like they’re just trying to avoid responsibility. It feels like they’ve misled me and are trying to steal from me. Now I’m looking into legal options because I don’t think they’re taking this seriously. DON’T HIRE OR RELOCATE WITH THEM. I’ve had nothing but FRUSTRATION and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

If you are wanting a relaxing, fun, peaceful, stress free, enjoyable and memorable get away, I strongly recommend that you DO NOT hire a vehicle from Cruisin' Motorhomes. We booked a Motor Home for 12 days in 9/2024. We had big plans for our wonderful adventure. The Motorhome broke down 4 times in 9 days. During the heat of the day and at night. When we last broke down roadside assistance couldn't help. We waited 2.5 hours for the mechanic who arrived at 6.30pm. He spent more than 30 mins working under the bonnet, the console, the battery and gearshift housing and ultimately told us it would need to be towed. The look on my face must have said it all. This amazing trip we had planned turned into the escape from hell, AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! He finally got us started and even though we still had 3 days left on our trip we decided we should head straight home to end the nightmare, and he advised us that the motor home had multiple faults so head straight home and do not stop. I received an email from the company late that night stating that they were aware that the vehicle had an issue and that a replacement was available for pick up from their depot. Over an hour's drive on Sydney's roads and freeways was not something I was prepared to risk with an extremely unreliable vehicle. It's been a real poo fight getting reasonable compensation from this company. Failures can happen but no one deserves to be treated the way we were. The constant worry of the motor home letting us down, possibly in a remote location meant that we had to re-plan our whole trip in order to stick to highways and built up areas, precisely what we had planned to get away from. What tipped us over the edge was the company's attitude. They told us the Fiat Dealership couldn't find a fault, basically intimating that we were liars, and hence offered less than $600 in compensation after paying over $3000 to hire this heap. It was extremely important to us that others know what they are risking when booking with this company. Who wants to experience what we have, when you booked wanting a relaxing, fun, peaceful, stress free, enjoyable and memorable get away. We will keep spreading the word with social media and Media broadcasting. The experience was wrong on so many levels. Don't let this happen to you and your loved ones too.

Great experience booking, collecting, using and returning the van. Lilli, in the Perth branch was knowledgable about the van and encouraging as it was our first hire / use Her outgoing message to us was ‘go make memories and murder some flies’ We did both in abundance. Van spec was great, super clean and very easy to drive. When we had an issue with U-connect the support team helped us sort it remotely. Am glad we booked the bigger van - at no point did we feel squished or on top of each other. All over a brilliant experience Would not hesitate to recommend the experience or the company !

It's absolutely disgraceful how they treat, their customers. I hired a motor home from Cruisin Motorhome and paid full cover. Then two days in our holiday with my family. Heavy rain occurred and the Motor home became full of water leaking from their lights and electrical plugs and roof. So, I contact them roadside assistance team and they advised me to turn off all electric equipment. After that they called me back advised that I do 2-hour trip back to Melbourne with my family, while it was heavily raining, I advised them that the vehicle was not safe to drive, and they should someone to have look at it. Also, they mentioned I had to stay at the place, until the motor home was fixed and they said it could take hours. I asked for manager or supervisor but apparently, they didn't deal with such things. Anyway, we couldn't stay the night in motor home, as it was raining, and the water was going through electric wiring and I had young kids with me. We cut our holiday short and then after a week I called the manager with no help saying it's my fault because I left the motor home at the location, I expressed that was unsafe but no help. Please I also advise those who had bad experiences to report them to consumer affairs Victoria.

Done a hire relocation through imoova for Cruisin motorhomes from Melbourne to Perth. Had an absolute amazing experience that I’ll never forget. Had no issues with the motorhome itself it was basically brand new. Bond was a bit slow coming back but got it within the time that was given so can’t complain too much. Big thanks to Mel who looked after us when we arrived in Perth too!

We hired motorhome for a month in late June 2024. The motorhome was excellent in all respects with 24 hour roadside assistance available. Cruisin were brilliant with communication pre hireage answering all my questions promptly. On picking up we were upgraded to a new van with shower, toilet, airconditioning, fans, tv. We loved the solar panels on roof which meant we could stay extra days without being plugged into electricity. Lots of plugs and USB ports. The van was equipped with all we could possibly need. Very comfortable to sleep in and plenty of room for storage as all the available space was utilised. We would recommend this company unreservedly. Thank you.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We planned to travel from Brisbane to Adelaide for my sisters wedding. We booked to pick up the motorhome at 8am. We had to wait 40 minutes as it wasn't ready. Then they showed us where everything was. We didn't leave until after 9, delaying our trip. The brochure also stated the van had battery power, enough for 2 days. We had planned to stay overnight at free camping spots. However the "solar battery" only had enough power for lights. Something we were not advised of. Therefore, leaving late and needing power to charge phones etc, we changed our plans and booked a powered site in Coonabarabran. Consequently we were driving at dusk. At 9.10pm we hit a feral pig. We pulled over, called the so called emergency 24 hour roadside assist line. We were in the middle of nowhere, on the Newell hwy with road trains passing us and shaking the van every few seconds. The Roadside assistance told us there was nothing they could do. ZERO HELP. NO ASSISTANCE. We were stranded and in danger as lightning had started a bushfire nearby, as well as the road trains barrelling passed on the single lane road. We called 000. Police came but had to attend the bushfire, but they called a tow truck. At 2.30am, no tow truck and the police returned. We had to abandon the van and they took us to town. The van had completely shut down and was unable to be moved, started or locked, so we just had to leave it. In the morning we discovered the van had been ransacked and our belongings stolen. The tow company brought the van to town but we couldn't access it as it was now a crime scene. Cruisin Motorhomes did NOTHING. They refused to send assistance, told us to "catch a train or taxi to Sydney or something". There is no train station in Coonabarabran. We were stranded with nothing. My son in law had to drive the 8 hours to come and collect us the next day. The motorhome company refused to refund us, citing a clause that we had supposedly signed. When we signed the docs originally, it was an e-signature. I believe they took our e-signatures and added them to the 8 pages of conditions they produced AFTER all this happened. There is no way there were 8 pages of conditions when we first signed. However i cant prove this. They are UNETHICAL, DISHONEST, RUDE, AND COMPLETELY WITHOUT EMPATHY OR CARE once they have your money. In total we lost around $7000 from using this company. And, if they hadn't kept us waiting, we would not have been forced to drive at dusk. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. This happened on 29 February 2024. It's taken me this long to write about it as it causes me PTSD to think about it. But, thankfully we are all OK. Which the "emergency roadside assistance " operator failed to ask us from start to finish.

So a mate hired a campervan to travel Tassie with her daughter. Some quality time together! The van they got ended up having a couple of issues, just one example being a draw flew out. The advise given by a rep was to place a suitcase in front of it, then to take it out and place it on the bed. It was decided they would return it and take another so they turned around & drove an hour back. The hire company didn’t have one of the same so my mate opted for a smaller 2 berth. Now one would think that there would a price difference and there was but the rep wouldn’t budge as they had booked the bigger in the first instance as per contract. My mate checked it with a fine tooth comb & even asked the question as to whether the gas bottle was full. Said rep assured her that it was…you guessed it! It wasn’t. Being the stoic two they are they continue their trip, they didn’t want to waste a minute and they didn’t! Then unfortunately her daughter became seriously unwell and was taken to Launceston Hospital for urgent attention. As a result they were required to return home and for the safety & wellbeing of her daughter it was imperative they fly out of Launceston instead of Hobart as originally planned. My mates hubby made the urgent trip over to accompany them home. Obviously the campervan was in Launceston. Now you would think that given the circumstances the company would make an exception and allow them to leave it in Launceston. Well yes they could but at a cost of $890!!! So to save that expense my mates hubby stayed behind as my mate and her daughter flew out. He had to drive the bloody thing back to Hobart. But wait there is more….to add insult to injury they then charged my mate a $150 cleaning fee for the initial faulty van they had to take back through no fault of their own!!! So if you ever want to tour Tassie or anywhere else in Aus make sure you never even consider Cruisin Motorhome Rentals because they f$&ing suck!!!!

Unfortunately, we had overall very bad experiences with Cruisin Motorhomes. We had to exchange our campervan twice. The first time due to a possible cockroach infestation, the second time due to an engine failure. However, the worst part was not the exchanges or damages themselves, but the extremely poor and unsympathetic on-road service, as well as the handling and compensation of the entire situation afterwards. Overall, we incurred expenses and additional costs of approximately 1,000 AUS$ due to the entire situation: - 2 days of downtime including travel time etc. (460 AUS$) - 330 AUS$ fuel costs - 166 AUS$ hotel expenses - 52 AUS$ road tolls & drain cleaner After reviewing the entire situation, we were offered compensation for half a day (115 AUS$). After several complaints and emails, the offered compensation was raised to two days (460 AUS$). Apart from the fact that it still only covers half of our additional costs, we have to deal with this several days after the rental period, and of course, we don't get back the missed vacation days. It should also be noted that all the vehicles we had were already quite old, making potential damages more likely. Overall, it is unfortunately clear that Cruisin Motorhomes prioritizes saving money at every turn rather than providing good service to its customers. Therefore, I would strongly advise against renting here and instead opt for other providers, even if it is more expensive elsewhere! Best regards, Kai

Poor customer service Don't use the express checkin waste of time. We booked well a head to have the RV ready when we got there. Well over an hour to pick up a RV (cleaning),this put us well behind our arrival times. other customers were in and out within minutes. We should had done a review check.

We had some damage to the car. A local repair company thought it would cost around 800 dollars and they charged us 2500 dollars... I have e-mailed them about this situation 3 times now, not a single reply.

The initial face to face customer service was good… However we paid the $5000 bond and after scratching the paint we had to pay over half the bond for a max $500 job. The damage was minimal and the communication from the company was non existent. We had to keep emailing them to find out how much was going to be taken out of the bond and when we’d receive the rest of it back. They’re thieving scumbags. Would not use them again

We rented a 6 berth motorhome from Cruisin' Motorhomes for 3 weeks in March 2024 with pick-up and drop-off in Sydney. Very comfortable when travelling with 3 people as you don't have to convert two of the three beds every day. Camper was less than 2 years old and fully adequate, although the GPS could use an urgent update. Pick-up happened at a busy time and took some time, drop-off went smoothly. And the deposit was back in our account after only 6 working days!

I rented a Sandpiper motor home from their Hobart depot for 2 weeks commencing 15th January this year. In short the experience was disappointing. Whilst there were no mechanical issues with the motor a number of equipment problems affecting both the fridge and the AC/Heating units manifested themselves and since the manual provided had not been updated to reflect equipment changes several calls to their technical support were required. For example it would have been helpful to have been warned that parking the van on even a very slight slope ( ie in excess of 4 degrees) would result in the fridge failing to function whilst all the indicators showed it operating normally! To discover a fridge full of warm (and in some cases spoiled) food in the morning was not a happy experience. Only one 3.7kg gas bottle was provided for the 2 weeks (which seems miserly) and the table and chairs provided as part of the insurance package were of poor quality and the table old, battered and dirty! It is perhaps indicative that no post rental contact was made from the company inviting a customer review and when contact was made with their Customer Services their response was frankly lamentable. The company proudly proclaim themselves to be ‘Family Owned and Operated’. Maybe it’s time they hired some outside management to shake them out of their complacency.

The trip was good, the on-road support great, but having to wait for your bond of several thousand dollars for 2 weeks plus?? And the action to take if you have not received it back after 2 weeks is to send an email to accounts so they look into it? So in case you plan to go make sure you have a separate credit card because 5k of your money will be with cruisin for the time of your trip plus 2 extra weeks after. And any expenses that the promised to re-imburse you will have to wait that long as well. Disappointed by their accounting team. What is so difficult in releasing the bond and re-imbursing any money owed to the customer asap???

Hi All. Melbourne depo First we where rushed through the motor home operations and condition of vehicle. I was asked to sign the paperwork before being shown the motor home. So anyhow excited to get on the journey. We stopped first night around 350k from depo and settled down for the night, my partner needed the toilet at around 2 am, when she flushed it the flush button had jammed ad it continued to flush. A 110 lit tank will not fit in a 20 lit cassette toilet tank. As an engineered I disconnected power to the unit avoiding the cabin from being flooded. I contacted them and they sent a new switch assembly to my cousins that we would be at for 2 days I removed the old one and it had been bodge repaired by the company. Next day from repair we where at a non powered sight using the gas set up for the fridge. The leisure batteries using only the lighting would las 30 minutes. Then their was the steering, on straight roads you had to keep correcting it. I checked under the motor home to see if it was the steering ball joints, but the problem was wear in the rack. Another day on and the drivers cad area the fan blower stopped working. I called the road assist and was told the black plug under passenger side may have been knocked as it was in a vulnerable area. The fix was to unplug it and refit it. When in removed it the plastic plug had melted so had two of the wire coverings to the point that they could touch bear wires to each other. I gaped the wires and refitted as told to do so even though they may touch. In the owners book it showed where you turn off the gas inside the motor home in an emergency. well the cupboard door you needed to open had damaged hinges and was imposable to open. The fire extinguisher was 2019 and the service tag had never been stamped so never checked or serviced. the bedding duvet was falling apart with holes and rips in it. Many other faults to list. We hared this home for near 3 weeks at $7000 And as a sorry they reimburse us with $500 an absolute joke. Motor home reg 980ZDZ Avoid this van.

Ist van broke down 14 kilometres from pick up in Hobart, the van would not go into reverse gear. Spent first 90mins of our holiday waiting for replacement van, then took second camper as far as road side outside Penquin where engine had serious fault and lost all power, phoned Cruising who finally after 2 hours ordered a mechanic who was very helpful but could not repair van. Mechanic could not obtain parts as it was the weekend after being stuck on side of road all day we limped to a camp-site in Penquin Cruising finally delivered 3rd van at 8.30pm so we lost a day and night from our holiday. We were travelling with friends who stayed with us so they lost time aswell. When we checked 3rd van back to Hobart and asked for compensation told possibly in a week's time. We received $253.04 just under a days hire no apology for all time lost on holiday nothing for our companions. I might add that our friends van was very dirty and the inside fittings were very worn. Would not hire from Cruising ever.
