Great course with inspirational instruction. The live ops, range day, driving day and the combat day, with a world champion kick boxing legend, helped with developing skills and operational awareness. Hard work but thoroughly enjoyed the exlerience and helped to transition full time into close protection operations with multiple companies

Very good course , in planning and practicalitiesof OPs. Extreemly good , focused teaching staff. Should however better mannage peoples expectations of career opportunities post course.

Professional staff, instructor was very experienced and even if we were a lot of people he was paying attention to each one of us. The only thing I found a bit less was the selection of candidates! I understand this is a business but not everybody can be a CPO. I'm very happy of the training I received we covered all aspect of the job so I knew what to expect for the future. thumbs up to my main CPO instructor!!!!! thank you for the great experience you shared.

I said throughout the course and stand by it now.. I feel like I genuinely learned skills for life. I completely changed industries and these guys made me feel confident in doing it. I haven’t looked back since, I’m never short of work and I feel without the experienced instruction this couldn’t be possible.

I believed the course to have a high level of sufficient information and also agree with the standard that Phoenix expects as appose to the SIA standards. The course is mainly executive aimed however there is a glimpse into hostile along with an abundance of knowledge and personal experience within the training team. Excellent real live exercises conducted within Birmingham which are both challenging and enjoyable. In my opinion the teaching and subject matter were to an incredibly high standard and i would recommend Phoenix as a place to start your close protection career always.

I completed the Executive Close Protection course with Phoenix Group Plc in November 2018. They set the bar at a reasonable level on day one, but raised it with each day as our knowledge, operability and development grew. Their academy stands among the best in the UK - dare I say the World - as Phoenix Group Plc are not content to simply conduct a course for a qualification; instead they are committed to delivering high-quality training and professional development, as they continually improve and review their methods. As for my reflections on the course: The training staff are experienced and have a mentoring approach. The training days - firearms, unarmed combat, driving, surveillance, FPOS - were all excellent; detailed, yet easy to understand, adding welcome variety to the theory and practical days. The theory days were interesting and concisely contextualised by the training staff; extrapolating these sessions into practical application allowed for not only implementation of classroom learning, but additionally offered the opportunity to continually reflect and improve from day one to final exercise. The exercises included a day scenario per group, a night scenario for the whole group, an additional day scenario per group and a final exercise per group. These required a variety of factors and were conducted live, in a different setting each time. I would recommend Phoenix Group Plc's academy for those looking to transition into the security industry, those seeking CPD or to retrain, as well as those looking to transfer from the military, Police or another branch of the security industry.

Had a fun time learning about the security industry. Marcus was an amazing teacher who teaches in a unique way, he keeps you engaged in the course by being informative and exciting. The 4 day course passes very quickly only because of Marcus as a teacher. I would definitely recommend Phoenix, everyone is very polite and kind. Even though they might look a bit intimidating by their size 😂 Great value for price! I had an great experience!

Having just completed the Close protection course, I thought I'd put a quick note on what a great experience it was. The course was extremely well run, and professional. Mitchell, Kyle, Jake, Tom and the team were very professional and extremely knowledgeable and approachable in there teaching and everyday manner. The 4 live scenarios were a great and valuable way to put into practice what we had been learning. I can thoroughly recommend this course for anyone thinking of going into the close protection world.
