Used this company for my trip to Egypt, stayed in Hurghada for a few nights and then went to Luxor where I cruised the nile. Well arranged trip, good hotel, nice boat, professional service. Would use again.

Recap, booked a surprise cruise for my husband 60th, and choose Egypt Escapes the booking process went well. so the fly was delayed leaving London, so it was late arriving in Hurghada (after 11pm), when I came out of the airport, Meeting Point is the company that was used as the middle man. I did not see a sign with our names or anything, the kiosk was closed - slightly panicked I then saw mini bus with meeting point on the side, only to discover the cab next to it was for us. The drive to the hotel was pleasant about 20 minutes (panic over), we arrive at the AMC hotel, very splendid, free WIFI in the reception area, cost extra in your room (we pasted). it was very late and where able to get some off that was still available from dinner (sadly I only eat fish so so bread rolls for me, not much of a food selection so late in the evening. We were told to be ready by 8am for our transfer pickup. We went for breakfast at about 7.30am, there was a mixture of food stations, sadly I was not impress with the choose, and felt very disorganized. (someone stole food from my plate while I went to get a coffee, so left I everything, was not amused). We were offered a food bag to take on the bus, bread roll, crisp some fruit and a fruit juice, 4 hour drive to Luxor, a few stops on the way to collect other family from near by hotels, that where on the same cruise. Luxury coach aircon, got see drive through the country, and hear some history. Arrive just before lunch at the boat, directed to food hall for lunch, the table number we where seated at will be our table for the rest of the trip. There is WIFI at a cost, though many said even when buying the card did not get good service (we pasted, sometimes good to disconnect) We had Ashraf as our host for every meal, I did not pay for a drinks package with the booking because we don't drink alcohol (however if you are that way inclined please do), so we were given a receipt every time we requested a drink, the bill would be settle on the last day before exited cruise. Ours came to about £45, mostly water and juice The food was very good, good quality and quantity, and varied, the fish dishes where wonderful, though i did bring some hot pepper sauce, because I like my food spicy. Both Chefs and staff were very warm and friendly!!! Observation no females any formed part of the staff, all male on the boat and at hotel (hospitality) - cultural I believe. The cabin room was nice, though there was no tea tray in the room, when I asked if I could have a kettle for the room, I was told because of health and safety no. However at time we would pull along other boats and on had a full tea tray complete with kettle, I figured this was a selling tactic so you would buy more hot drinks from them... Lucky someone had a travel kettle so I was able to enjoy the lattes sachets I had bought from home. Cabins are a decent size, the TV had 3 English speaking movie channels, though the signal would drop out if going under a bridge, The trips booked to the various temples, valley of the kings, Nubian village didn't disappoint. They gave you options to pay for add addition trips, the tour guy was very informative and out group of about 17 bonded well. Yes every place you go, there are people that will try and get a little change from you, i.e. offer to take a picture for you, or should you a better view of part of the temple, do not feel pressure to give, say no thank you and keep it moving. The boat Emilio was said to had a gym, there was not one, the running machine, bike and one other where all old and not working. Being someone who worked out regularly had to improvise, plenty of floor space not so bad. The boat was nice, a shop on boat, a bar and yes you could catch the football matches. I have to say that that my husband and I really enjoyed the trip learned so much, made a few friends and felt vert welcomed by the people, Yes like most places you go they want to sell to you, however no thank you is enough and keep it moving. I would say that I had a wonderful experience though the hotel AMC that was all inclusive, the food was not the best at all. I also believe food that was not eat for lunch was used again for dinner. Food time was very disorganized, I have stayed at many all inclusive, however have never experience dining time like that. Towards the end I had an upset stomach, so stuck with just eating bread. Overall we had a wonderful experience I am glad that I was able to experience such a beautiful country, and its people, maybe we got lucky that all went well. Either way the choice is your and I pray this help with you decision

1.The Nile cruise was excellent, the Emilio was very clean and i loved that it was Art Deco, the staff extremely polite and friendly at all times. The food was great [ no stomach aches at all]. 2.Tours were amazing but beware of being taken to the Papyrus and Alabaster workshops and buying as they are part of the Meeting Point company so although they claim you'd get a good discount, we saw markets nearby [ which the tour guide didn't inform us of selling the exact same tings at quarter of the price]. The same could not be said of the hotels we were placed in: one was definitely shabby { The Royal Star] and the booking adviser placed us in another hotel not in central Hurghada [ Somabay] in the middle of desert, inadequate internet, and had to pay £30 for taxis to reach our activities that were booked in central Hurghada without being honest about the information. On top of this the Bay is a protected Barrier Reef so guess what no swimming allowed. You had to pay for lunch as there was no shops in the complex that was full of black flies. When we tried to lodge a complaint and ask for taxi reimbursements back we were told The Viva Deep Blue in Soma bay is part of Hurghada? it is not !!

This company is the best and only way to visit Egypt, from our initial conversation regarding our booking to our stay. Nothing has been any trouble to them. Fantastic guide on boat was with us throughout, his knowledge made the trip the £27 tip as you boarded saved the hassle of what to tip and when.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I wouldn’t give any stars but that isn’t an option. Just got back from nile cruise with Egypt escapes. The boat and crew were great, however we were moored in Aswan for 3 days and unfortunately for us we were stuck between boats so had no views at all. The fumes were disgusting and made quite a few of us ill with coughing and bad chest. Your feet got black when you walked around on the top deck from the diesel fumes. I have written to the company and the reply was terrible, not bothered at all. As soon as we got on the boat we were asked for £27 per person for tips, it was all about getting money. I had to miss 2 trips because I felt unwell but they said it’s not their problem. Awful company would never use again

Reeha was absolutely incredible. We gave her the elements of a trip to Egypt and Jordon we wished to see, and she contructed a fabulous itinary. We were able to make tweaks to include things we wanted to do or stay, or areas we wanted to stay longer/shorter for. The challenging part was once booked, unforseeable changes by the companies we had booked tours with, meant that we were going to potentially lose out on seeing part of Egypt. Working with Reeha to explore the options was easy, and after several conversations Reeha made changes to hotels/flights and a cruise, to make everything work perfectly, without any added cost or frustration! I will now be using her for every adventure we plan!

We have had such a wonderful holiday and would thoroughly recommend Egypt Escapes to book through. I had a myriad of questions and they were always at the end of the phone to help. They answer their emails promptly and help us never far away if you need it. Our hotel is super, transfer and flight all went seamlessly. Thank you so much.

Booked all the Nile Cruise, trips along the Nile, flight transfers, taxis, hotel in Cairo transport to and from Cairo airport and it all went perfectly. You are certainly out of your Comfort Zone with a visit to Egypt and whilst away I had a few queries, emailed Egypt Escapes and received prompt replies and knowledgeable answers every time. Yes cuisine on the boat not to everyone's taste, also beware when on trips the guide will certainly take you to shops with interest, but they want you to buy their product. Egypt Escapes and the people they use were in our opinion first class

A good company to deal with - were worried at first but they were so helpful Had a very memorable cruise down the Nile - very informative guide. Complaints about boats mooring are out of anyone’s control other than the Captain. Everything went very smoothly and was very organised. Been meaning to post this for ages!!

Booked a brilliant trip to Egypt with this firm. Price was excellent, sales agent Reeha very understanding and put together a top notch itinerary, very knowledgeable. Stayed in El Gouna, Red Sea for 7 nights hotel and then Nile cruise on MS Emilio. Local reps were all great and work tirelessly, the love of their country shines through. Only hiccup was our flight from Manchester was delayed by nearly 3 hours (frustrating as we missed evening meal) and we were worried we would miss the first transfer and have to get a local cab to hotel. Nothing to worry about as Meeting Point Egypt had 12 other passengers on same flight and transfers were coordinated to new arrival time. Would 100% use this company again. All the Best Mike

Awful! Avoid at all costs! I complained when we returned only to be told that “we don’t have to explain ourselves to you” Not the correct response after hearing customer complaints!

I am writing to make a formal complaint against Egypt Escapes. My complaint is that you failed to provide me with a satisfactory service and information when I booked my Egyptian Cruise. As my chosen travel agent I expected pleasant efficient communication to book a well planned cruise and day excursions most importantly trip to Cairo to see pyramids. I booked a 2 week Nile Cruise 12/9/22-26/9/22 Accommodation with Meeting Point You Travel ref 501006498. I was disappointed in the lack of clear communication from the very start of booking holiday After my initial deposit was taken it was extremely hard to get though on telephone to customer service with my queries. As a senior citizen and first time traveller I understandably had a lot of questions and wanted to be clear on what was to be expected. So I had a few conversations with various staff members about itinerary and flight details. Some day’s phone would just ring without answer. Despite my reservations I continued with paying instalments However my experience on trip was not a smooth one either. 1 –On arrival at Gatwick our check in was first issue, our ticket’s said 2x check-in baggage selection, 1x holdbag 23kg total allowance 23kg. We were told we could only take one suitcase. This caused a lot of stress and anxiety right from start of journey - On arrival at hotel in Sea Beau Rivage we had two singe beds, as couple this was not acceptable to us, our bedroom had not been cleaned, dirty floor, bathroom and no towels. We had to call reception and request room be cleaned and bed made due to lack of mattress protector and two single beds. Staff then pushed the two beds together instead of relocating us to a double room. Sheets did not fit and bed was uncomfortable, mattress soiled. Not 5 star accommodation. 3- Cruise ship M-S Presidential Commodore was changed to Jamilia. Which was a new boat however the first few days we suffered from headaches and nausea due to strong diesel fumes in our room coming though air conditioning unit and though out the boat. We complained about this to rep and also on feedback forms at end of cruise. We were surprised this was not responded to on our return. We have photos of back of boat which was totally black with diesel as was the one life boat. Visual example of the extent of the toxic diesel fumes. The pollution and toxic fumes inhaled during these days caused sickness to us and other passengers. This is a concern we feel strongly about and will continue to seek others with same complaint by online chat rooms and forums. In addition we were not informed of any emergency protocols or told where life jackets were kept or how to use. We only discovered life jackets by accident when we happened to look under bed day before leaving. 4- Trip to Cairo, we were very disappointed that we didn’t get to see Pyramids which was to be a highlight of our holiday. However it wasn’t until we got to hotel we were told this was a 1.30am start to the day and would be several hours drive to Cairo and back. This was NOT stipulated when booking trip. We were not told details for this excursion or given alternatives. Had we been given full information we would have opted for flight to Cairo instead. We had to cancel trip which was great disappointment and cause of friction to our holiday. We cancelled within to time frame allowed, however didn’t receive refund until 6 months later. These incidents caused my partner and I high anxiety, sickness and disappointment, mostly the cancelled Cairo excursion totally spoilt trip as that was to be the highlight of the holiday. You go to Egypt to see the pyramids. In my view, we weren’t given satisfactory customer service during booking, poor information regarding Cairo excursion. Our hotel stays was not 5 star value as sold to us, sickness from cruise inhaling toxic fumes and not having any satisfactory response to our complaints at the time and delay in refunding monies owed. Mistake with baggage allowance on booking details, all infringed on a peaceful enjoyable holiday. As our service provider for such a poor experience I would ask for monetary compensation of half the cost of holiday, it has now been confirm that the real reason , WARNING holiday makers staying at hotels in HURGHADA dont go in sea early morning SHARKS attack are being kept silent. This complaint not resolve, or acknowledge by egypt escape , would never use again EJ nelson-homiah

We have recently returned from Christmas in Egypt (cruise and stay) and have to say everything went seamlessly. We booked back in March and all confirmations were sent within 24 hours and all vouchers matched the requirements detailed on the phone. Before flying Easyjet amended the flight times by 1 hour each way and we were informed of this by Egypt Escapes the same day and new transfer details sent. The holiday itself was excellent. The reps were waiting for us on arrival in Hurghada airport and took us and another party to the hotel. We stayed in the Labranda Royal Makadi Hotel (5* all inclusive) for the first 5 nights, then sailed on the MS Emilio (5* full board) for the 7 night cruise before returning back to Labranda for final 2 nights. We took out the full excursion package at the time of booking for the cruise and these we highly recommend. The Meeting Point guide who lead all the trips was knowledgeable and had no issues answering all the groups questions. All cabins on the Emilio are outside facing so everyone gets Nile views and we requested upper deck at point of booking and we got this which was great. The Labranda Makadi was excellent as well. Huge amounts of food choices, plenty of facilities, right on the beach and staff were superb. Would 100% recommend this Nile cruise and stay holiday and we plan on visiting Egypt again in 2025 to visit the new Egyptian Museum in Cairo and will definitely be contacting Egypt Escapes to assist with this.
