Having used Egypt Escapes last September for a three week holiday to Luxor and Nile cruise we booked with them again for a Xmas holiday to Sharm. Lastly once more,to Rixos hotel in Sharm in May 23. At no time have we experienced a problem with this company. If a question needed asking then David Thomas is always on the ball with the answer. There us a rep in the hotels if you need them, but we have never needed them. Probably luck on our part. Car transfers are convenient and stress free. All in all, we can recommend Egypt Escapes to book your next ESCAPE

Booking our holiday was easy, the rep. was knowledgeable polite and efficient. First class customer service. Our party of three octogenarians found ourselves in an inappropriate hotel after our Nile cruise. Egypt Escapes bent over backwards to upgrade us to a five star hotel and provided free transfers. All our emails from Hurghada were answered promptly. Well done!

I recently contacted an Egypt Escapes to look for a Nile cruise for 4 people(one coming from Australia) Stanley Wilson could not have more helpful. We had certain times scales and he tried his upmost to get something which fitted in this and at reasonable price. After numerous attempts he succeeded and managed to get us a perfect deal. Thank you Stanley you’re a gem! We must of drove you mad.

I have recently come home from an Egyptian hotel and cruise stay arranged by this company and have to say everything was great. Firstly we stayed in the Sea Beau Rivage hotel in hurghada for 2 nights and then returned for the final 5. Hotel was good, staff were great, couldn't do enough for you. Food choices were varied and nicely cooked always hot. Certain parts of hotel could do with a bit of modernising but on the whole very good. The Nile cruise was on the MS odyssey and we booked on full board (not big drinkers) and with full packaged trips included. Again everything was great. Cabin was a decent size and nicely furnished. The tour guide Ahmed was brilliant. So informative on the trips and couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend him. Not as huge a choice of food as the hotel, which is to be expected, but again choice was varied. Transfers were with the local ground people were fine (in fact our flight arrival was delayed by around 1 hour so we're worried they may not be waiting but they were!) Can definitely see us booking this trip again in the future and booking with Egypt escapes. We have friends who are interested in going so have passed on the company details to them. Wonderful trip.

We recently returned from a highly anticipated trip to Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan, and our experience was truly unforgettable. Our journey began at the Steinberger Pyramid hotel in Cairo. Although there was a slight wait for room allocation during check-in, we were pleased with the hotel's overall quality. The rooms were delightful, and the pool offered a breathtaking view of the Great Pyramid and the new museum. After our time in Cairo, we flew to Luxor where we embarked on our Nile cruise aboard the MS Viking. We had a standard cabin. The room provided ample space, a lovely bathroom, and stunning views from the large window. Most of the temple visits were included in the holiday package, and we opted for the all-inclusive option on the boat, which we recommend. Aside from the incredible sites we explored, our tour guide, Ahmed, was the highlight of our trip. Having someone as knowledgeable and passionate as Ahmed to guide us through this historical journey was an absolute pleasure. His exceptional expertise and gentle nature left a lasting impression. Thank you Egypt Escapes for providing us with such a memorable holiday. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Initially impressed with a competitive quote I quickly realised the standard of hotel and boat on offer were poor. In addition the price did not include any excursions. I managed to find an excellent quote from a British company for the MS Emilio Blue 2 and hotel with pyramids visible from the pool area for thousands cheaper than second price quoted by Egypt Escapes. I sent an email to ‘Philip’ thanking him for his efforts but heard nothing back. Amazing how many Indian people (in the overseas call centre at Egypt Escapes) all apparently have British names.

The 5* hotels were excellent, BUT the MS Odessey, which was also supposed to be 5*, was disgusting. We should have been on the MS Commodore but we’re told on arrival at the boat that this was in for a refit. The guided tours were excellent, the food was good, and most of the staff were helpful. The accommodation however was diabolical. The shower was badly repaired in several place, the sliding door didn’t fit properly so water leaked into the bathroom, the bottom of the shower was split and mould was growing all along it. The carpet in the bedroom was split, the window was filthy and the wallpaper was tatty. TV only worked 5 minutes, no Wifi, and entertainment only 3/7 nights for 1 hour, and like a children’s party, even to the point of a ‘donkey’ neighing at each and every passenger! No point complaining as I was accused of copying someone else’s photos, and that the boat was used continuously so what do I expect. They said perhaps the standards of Europeans may be higher than that of Egyptian Tourist Board! They said that as they had replied to my complaints they would not be replying any more!

Despite the positive reviews about Abel, I was disappointed to find him quite sarcastic, judgemental, and a little rude when trying to find a trip. He did take the price down but it was still over the top, was almost going to book, but instinct held me back. Did not want to put trust in this company due to all negative feedback. It is a shame we don’t have much choice for decent cruises, found a plan B to book cruise from Egypt itself. It would be more helpful to read reviews from completed trips in order to make booking as it is very daunting to read negative reviews on here. Sadly I did not get the chance. There are no good affordable cruise operators to book with since the demise of Thomas Cook and Thomson, who always sold a comprehensive and affordable Nile cruise. we are left with these obscure operators, Mercury the tour op for Nile cruise, were equally useless to book with, incompetent staff kept putting on hold. Couldn’t trust them with a booking. Better to fly out to Luxor and make direct booking for cruise out there, instead of handing over a £1000, only to be put on some third class junk on arrival, which is what is the norm here. Managed to book elsewhere for birthday holiday. Their loss, sort your attitude out.

We were told at the last minute our boat had changed, we accepted this as the new boat seemed similar. The night before we embarked we were moved onto another boat that was far inferior, had no double cabins, no working gym equipment etc because the other boat was not sailing (it sailed with us to Aswan and back). Egypt escapes have not responded to our questions.

Where to start? My family, 7of us in total, booked a 3 night stay in Cairo followed by a Nile cruise on the Emilio. The hotel in Cairo was good but this was after we read the reviews of the first one that was given and asked for a change. Our stay in Cairo was good but strangely for a travel agent Egypt escapes could not help us organise our tours there. They just sent several mails with bewildering long lists of tour companies. My daughter ignored all these and found an excellent company called Delux Tours who gave us just what we asked for at a reasonable cost. We were allocated to the Emilio for the cruise as it has triple cabins and my daughter husband and young son needed just that. What a pity they were not given one. I spoke to someone at Egypt Escapes just a few days before we travelled and was assured that they would not be put into a double cabin with an extra bed pushed in. But they were. So they ended up with what was basically a sleeping platform with a narrow passage to the bathroom and the door. There was nowhere to sit as the table and chairs were removed to make room for the extra bed. The Emilio is still being advertised as a 5 star boat, it would not get 3 stars as a hotel on the Spanish costas. It is tired and grubby. One of our cabins was not clean and we had to ask to have it redone, it still wasn’t wonderful. Initially we were told that the boat was fully refurbished 2 years ago. In fact it is being refurbished now in a piecemeal fashion. Furniture is being recovered a piece at a time in the hallway outside the restaurant and bathrooms are being re-done when the boat is in Luxor. We had to ask for the drilling to stop at 10pm. The bathrooms certainly need refitting. They are grubby with cracked tiles and missing trim and unmovable dirt. Most of the passengers were German so when the television showed some life it was a snowy picture of German channels The boat has more passengers than it can cope with. As most of the passengers were all inclusive the meals were buffet style. Mealtimes were reminiscent of school dinners with long queues through the dining room. The food was mediocre with little variety On one occasion there were not enough chairs for everyone to sit down. I had to wait for someone to leave beforeI could eat. Do the people at Egypt Escapes know what they are selling? Has anyone actually experienced these holidays? Either they have no real understanding of their product or, more alarmingly, they do but don’t disclose the whole truth. On a final high note our guide Tarek was absolutely brilliant. He is so knowledgeable and professional and incredibly patient, all this whilst observing the Ramadan fast. I cannot express how disappointing this boat was. We have been twice before with other companies and the experience was magical. I cannot imagine we will have the opportunity to do this again and this makes me sad.
