United Kingdom | 27 December 2023Hello, like to book Nile Cruise and Hotel stay. Unfortunately when spoke to representative few months ago, the prices advertised online stand only for January, choose Egypt Escapes because price advertised, why not to advertise as it is? Looks misleading to me. Also the dates I choose it’s same time as Uk school holidays, again excuse, so if I book adults only option, the prices be as advertised? Works out you have to ad £300-£500 per person if you want to compare to advertised price, it’s a joke! Planing to contact Egypt Escapes in January 2024, will see how prices will differ from advertised ones! And how accurate is accommodation, services provided etc to compare with advertised, not hard to guess I bet!!!

United Kingdom | 21 December 2023Great service from Serah, she was very patient with all the questions I was asking as we had been duped by a rival company. Got us a great deal for 6. Very happy with the service.

United Kingdom | 20 December 2023I found a holiday online I wanted to book and (as there is no online booking available) asked through the online chat for the dates the holiday was available at that price. I was waiting to book the same day. The agent was unable to provide a list of dates or prices for the tour (other than a couple of departure dates in the next few days). Why is that? I'm assuming if the agent has no dates / prices and there is no online booking facility they probably don't exist. May be ok for last minute bookings (although a bit dodgy I'd say) but I'll be steering well clear and booking through a reputable company for my planned holidays.

United Kingdom | 05 December 2023Would give it zero but can’t score that low. Booked a 2 week 5star fully inclusive hotel and Nile cruise holiday flying to Hurghada. Arrived at hotel late and had a late night snack ie bread cheese and salad. By next morning my husband had a bad tummy which turned into chronic vomiting and diarrhoea which resulted in having to get medication from pharmacy. After 5 days and no food only liquids he started to feel better. They we moved onto a Nile cruise on the Emilio river cruise boat. There are no words to describe how awful the boat was. Filthy, shabby, unkempt, smelly and overall disgusting, 5star a joke should be surrendered for scrap. The food was the most disgusting thing you could imagine and as my husband avoided everything but the soup. I caught the most severe case of ecoli food poisoning caused be bad food handling, on one occasion even the grated carrots were off, obviously no refrigeration and unsanitary conditions. Unfortunately we had no other options to eat elsewhere as the stops were rural at best. In the party of 25 brits on our trip I believe all but 2 for poisoning. Avoid at all costs

United Kingdom | 12 October 2023I have to say I’ve recently returned back from my holiday in Egypt. I didn’t have my 30 years of travelling internationally. This was the worst holiday experience ever. They entice you selling a luxurious five star all-inclusive holiday provide you with the complete opposite and customer service in resort care after holiday service was non-existent. I certainly wouldn’t be booking with this company again and I would strongly suggest others don’t eithe. We fully explained prior to our trip and even discussed it with the cruise boat on the Nile that we are vegetarian. Yet they were serving beef pizzas to us. The all-inclusive element was not. There was not provided afternoon tea on the boat consisted of a small sponge, cake and some biscuits That is not a afternoon tea the all-inclusive on the drinks wasn’t there either they provided no juices when we requested some fresh carrot juice, boiled carrots, mix it with water and then served us that there was some sort of disgusting sludge. There is no butter either so I had to eat dry toast. They wouldn’t even make poached eggs because I cannot have my eggs for I didn’t oil it was a simple request and then you end up with the staff laughing at you because you’re asking for something that you’re entitled to terrible terrible terrible

United Kingdom | 30 August 2023Reeha was so patient and extremely helpful. Very informative and is a great asset to your company. I would highly recommend Egypt Escapes

United Kingdom | 10 August 2023Absolute nightmare of a company no empathy or intention to compensate whatsoever just pure profit is their only interest. Went on a Nile Cruise which was always a dream and paid for all inclusive drinks but soon found out that the cold drinks were poured from cans that had already been left open for hours or even from the day before in a non- refrigerated cupboard. Anyone actually paying for a beer or cold drink actually got a full fresh unopened can but anyone paying for all inclusive had to settle with flat stale drinks from opened cans. I raised this issue with the bar manager and Egypt escapes who were very rude and patronising and didn’t want to know, shame on them. Unfortunately there is no option to offer no stars otherwise I would. Please consider these concerns before considering using this company or you will also get ripped off !!!

United Kingdom | 02 August 2023Had been looking for a holiday to Egypt during December for a few weeks and was struggling due to the high rates , Raj was extremely reassuring, sorted out the whole itinerary, flights and hotels in a few minutes for the prices we needed and 5* accommodation! Looking forward to the experience now! Reading the reviews, am sure I won’t be disappointed.

United Kingdom | 08 July 2023Got quote from Abel Carter at Egypt Escapes. Quoted me £2700 for holiday. I decided to book, but wanted a better hotel. He told me it will be £250 more for better hotel, which I agreed and paid deposit. When I received confirmation, Abel had charged me the upgrade, but kept the original hotel. I have used Egypt Escapes twice before, but Abel has spoilt it. He is a disgrace to the travel industry. Enter manager, Christopher, who sorted all the problems out. My faith in the company is restored, although I will never deal with Abel again.

United Kingdom | 21 June 2023Went 5/6/23-19/6/23 Temperature 40degrees (one day 47) coming into the slow season, Hotels, boat and transfers all air conditioned. Flew Tui to Hurghada, 5 hours(+2hour time diff), english food. 5 nights at 'Lemon and sole' Makadi Bay, 55 min from Hurghada. Food up to a good standard, with soup, main courses, salad bar and sweets, all self service, which was good. Bar around the pool, plenty of empty sunbeds available, waiters served you in reception (air/con). Booked an optional boat day trip with hotel, saw dolphins, swimming and snorkling, relaxation on Eden Island was good. Flew to Cairo, two nights in Cairo, at 'Barcelo Pyramids Hotel', 10th floor overlooking the Pyramids, albeit approx 1 mile away. Collected Sunday at 9am, car driver and guide, taken to Cotton Shop for a Sales Experience, i dont think so, gave early morning cash tip to driver, for no-more shops. The country is poor and relies on tips, £5 egyption pounds for toliet stops, £20 to waiters. Budget tipping into your day, so much better experience Onto the Pyramids, Wow, saw Sphinx, Wow, and onto Egyption Museum and saw the important exibits with our guide, a small fraction of total exibits. Flew next day to Luxor. The 'M-S Emilio' was waiting for us and set sail a day ealier than schedualed. Boat has 95 bedooms and only 30 passengers aboard, 10 British, our cabin with bathroom had Juliette style balcony, but didn't open the patio doors, too hot. Food was always different, buffet style, and was to a high standard. Signed for drinks and had glass wine most days, along with bottles of water, plus iced coffee in the air conditioned bar £135 (£5200 egyption pounds) for two for a week, didnt feel we was robbed. Evening Bar on top deck, with Ultra Violet insect killers (not seen on other boats), small swimming pool and jaccuzi. Many trips start at 6-7am when its cooler, always had breakfast prior to trips. Met Ahmed our guide and Egyptologist, aboard and did all the pre booked Sites with him. He normally takes groups of 15 ashore, this week he just had us. Wow it just blew our minds!! The River, the sites, the Karnak light show, the story of the Pharoes, Aswan Dams and boat ride to Philea Temple. Did optional Abu Simbel Temple £95ea, start with negative, 3am wake up call, coffee only, departed at 4am, 5 hour journey across desert, arrived just before 9am, police checks, LOTS of coaches Lorries and cars on the single carriageway made overtaking difficult, additional fee (£1-50) for electric buggy to temple. My 77 years of age, it needs thinking about. Only 1 hour at Abu Simbel with our guide, Ahmed. A temple raised above Lake Nasser. It shook me as to the size, the reconstruction that had occurred to keep it intact. The one hour here, far outwieghed the negatives. Do not miss Abu Simbel, it was fantastic. Some of our prebooked trips occurred on our return to Luxor. Another optional trip was Hot Air Balloon (£84ea) over West Bank, 4am start to see the sun come up, shared basket with 30 other tourists, the experience shared with 12 other ballons for 1 hour trip. Fantastic, my wife went from, not keen, to really glad we went. Last day we transferred Luxor to 'Lemon and Sole' approx 4hours and spent afternoon here. We was required to pay for meal/drinks prior to airport departure, a tad penny pinching. Re Egypt Escapes They arranged the whole holiday, they did what they said in the itinary. We had vouchers for hotels, tranfers, taxi's, with full instructions on who to contact. We were priviliged to have personnal guide due to low number of tourist, because of weather. I would give it more than 5 stars, if i could. Egypt excelled

United Kingdom | 14 June 2023We have literally just returned from 2 weeks in Egypt, one in Hurghada, one cruising the Nile. We had trepidations about booking this type of holiday with a Tour Operator we haven’t heard of before, but those thoughts disappeared when we saw a man holding a card with our names up BEFORE passport control, that completely eased our concerns. Yes he took us to his mate to get our visas which were a few pounds more expensive than the bank ones, but that’s Egypt, they see all tourists as walking cash dispensers. They used a local company called Meeting point who were just fabulous. All the transfers, hotels, tours were exceptional… they took the temperature, most days high 40’s, into consideration and tried to do early morning tours as much as possible… our overall opinion of Egypt, the Red Sea resorts, the culture and history of Cairo and the Temples along the Nile is brilliant… BUT as mentioned be prepared to be hassled everywhere you go for money. This includes the hotel, cruise and walking around. The tour guide will take you to shops where they get the most commission. The cruelty we saw on a daily basis, horses, camels, donkeys being hit and beaten... brought a tear to the eye. We tried remonstrating to the abusers but to no avail. Until tour operators stop promoting camel and horse rides, this abuse unfortunately will continue. Overall, we’re glad we went to Egypt. It was nice spending a week relaxing by the Red Sea, then the Nile cruise and would highly recommend booking it through Egypt Escapes.
