Indian Excursions set up and ran an exemplary tour of Rajasthan (also including Agra and New Delhi) for myself and my group of 7 friends. The hotels were memorable, the guides knowledgeable, transportation comfortable and the locations covered all the highlights as well as some gems unknown to us which turned into some of our favourite stops of the holiday. We travelled Rajasthan with Indian Excursions. As it turned out, the execution of the tour well exceeded the expectations and those were already high. Madeleine is an outstanding tour designer while her team carrying out the tour are experts in their own right. Considering the heavy traffic in all major cities, namely in Delhi, and with dented cars everywhere, it speaks for Mr. Sanjay that his car comes with barely any scratch. Mr. Sanjay is an excellent driver who never lost his patience with either other road users or passengers and brought us always to destination in a relaxed state of mind and on schedule. Guides too are expert in their field and eagerly share their knowhow. On our next tour in India we shall use Indian Excursions again.

Madeleine and Shiv put together an amazing trip for us. We had a few days with a group of 4, then we separated from them to attend a wedding in another city, then 2 of us reunited with Indian Excursions for another week. Everything felt tailored and easy. We literally had to do NOTHING. We could ask Sanjay (our wonderful and attentive driver) to take us to a particular place for dinner, or we could ask him for a recommendation and he always had a great suggestion. I really can't say enough amazing things about this group - they truly know Rajasthan and went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we were happy, safe, and comfortable. There is no question in my mind that their attention and expertise elevated our trip. I am so grateful for that!

If you are planning a trip to India, I cannot recommend Indian Excursions enough. Madeline was very responsive both via phone and email. They tailored the package to our needs and interests and ensured that we did exactly what we wanted to do. They also had useful advice and put together a terrific itinerary. When you book with Indian Excursions, you get a driver to pick you up and drop you off at the airport and your hotels. There is also a tour guide at each day of site seeing. There is even a representative to meet you at each hotel to ensure you are taken care of and to help you check in. They basically held our hand through the whole trip and made the potential chaos of traveling through India a breeze. Plus you get water in the air conditioned van and sim cards to access data on your phone. I think what I was most impressed by was how thoughtful and caring Shiv, Madeline and the rest of the team were. During my trip I attended a wedding from which I got sick. I ended up having to skip a morning of site seeing because I wasn't well and Shiv, the owner, called to make sure I was ok and offer medicine. They were overall very attentive to us and always wanted to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The hotels were very nice and the whole trip we felt fancy and luxurious. These are competent, capable people who you can trust to provide you with the best trip possible. They will take on all the logistics and make traveling easy. I genuinely wish they operated in other countries.

India Excursions is the way to go if you are traveling to India for the first time and need assistance finding accommodation and tours but don't want to be stuck on a big bus full of other tourists. Our excursion was tailor made to our needs and interests and Madeleine and Shiv were so helpful along the way. At no point during our time in India did we feel lost or uncomfortable. The tour guides and drivers were exceptional and really made our trip to India something special. I would highly recommend this company and wish they offered such exceptional service in every country we might travel to in the future!

We cannot recommend Indian Excursions highly enough! Prior to our arrival, Madeleine helped us to create the trip of a lifetime in India (Varanasi, Delhi, Agra, Ranthambhore, Jaipur & Goa). She was supported by Shiv who ensured all of the logistics upon arrival and throughout our stay in India were seamless. The people they work with including the drivers, guides and representatives were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. As two women travelling alone in India, safety was a high priority for us. Indian Excursions provided a local phone for us with key contacts already programmed and there was always a representative to assist us with all transfers. At all times we felt safe. Indian Excursions make it very clear that all itineraries are flexible and on occasion we did make adjustments. As one example, we decided to take the 3.5hr journey from Bharatpur to Ranthambhore via car instead of the train. Sanjay our driver (who felt like our brother by the end of the trip) was fantastic company and was more than happy to accommodate all of our requests i.e. shopping, alcohol, etc. We will definitely be recommending Indian Excursions to our friends and family and look forward to our next visit to India with Madeleine and Shiv!

Absolutely brilliant! Cannot recommend Indian Excursions highly enough. This is my second time using them and they were just as amazing as the first time. Every detail is attended to and nothing is ever overlooked. Shiv was in touch with me regularly during my trip, just checking in and Madeleine's attention to detail and patience in the planning is absolutely faultless. Their drivers are all excellent - an important consideration if you are doing a lot of road travel in India! I highly recommend Sanjay - a true gentleman! All in all - outstanding!

My wife and I were originally planning to do the Palace on Wheels tour through rajasthan, but due to some booking issues we decided to take a guided tour instead. We're so glad that we came across Indian Excursions. The tour, accommodations, and personalized service were beyond our expectations. Indian Excursions is an excellent company to use to book your travels through India. They were quick to respond to questions when planning the trip, were very organized with all of the details for our arrival and booked first rate accomodations and activities for us. We were particularly impressed with the very hands on way the company was run so that we were personally looked after every step of the way. Thanks to Madeleine and Shiv we had the best trip ever ! We loved every part, of our travel everything was so well organised and so smooth, they took great care of us and we were very touched by all the special attentions (upgrade, late check out...etc), that make our trip even more special. We had the Best driver, thank you Sunil so much, he was so kind and funny and we felt in security all the time with him even on night road ! All the guides we had were great and very knowledgeable. I must say that organising a trip like this via internet was strange at first but I was so disappointed with the tour operators I went to because their propositions were so impersonal. I do not have any regret, the contact with Madeleine was so easy and efficient that I felt comfortable right away : I felt listened to and my dreams were transformed into reality. My high expectations were met and I must say they are way above the big highest luxury tour operator we used for other trips : being a small company they add a personal touch which is the real luxury for me. Maddie and Shiv of Indian Excursions helped us create and carry out an excellent trip to Northern India, the Rajasthan area. We covered 7 cities in 18 days. Our trip amenities included private drivers and guides, top hotels, either Heritage palace hotels or modern western style hotels. At each stop a local company representative greeted us on arrival, reviewed our schedule and introduced us to our tour guide and driver. Virtually all aspects of our trip were described in detail in the supplied itinerary and all met or exceeded expectations. Vehicles were suitable, clean and neat, drivers and guides spoke English and were attentive to our comfort and needs. Shiv remained in touch by phone to be sure all was well throughout our travels. As part of their service we received restaurant suggestions, tipping suggestions, arrangement for all entrance and local travel costs. All details were covered in advance.Therefore our travels were very stress free and enjoyable. We highly recommend Indian Excursions Co and we were very happy with their high level help and service which made our trip a total success. My wife and I are from NYC and have traveled extensively in China, S.E. Asia, Europe, Mexico, Canada, etc. and our India trip is one of our top experiences.

We did a private tour of Rajasthan three years ago with Indian Excursions and it's a testament to this truly excellent company that we chose them again to organise our second trip, this time a special one, to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We had an amazing time in India and sincere thanks to Indian Excursions for organising each and every aspect of it. We managed to spend a lot of quality time in various destinations. Madeline and Shiv took utmost care to ensure that our journey and stay was very comfortable. We visited a number of destinations, but the highlight was our stay at the Oberois in Ranthambore National Park.

We had a great experience. We went to following cities: Delhi, Agra, Udaipur, Jaiselmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Nagaur, Ranakpur. Our favorites were Udaipur and Jaipur. The best hotels were the Umaid Bhawan Palace and Rambagh Palace. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip to my family, friends, and anyone looking for a fun trip to India. Indian excursions did a great job handling everything about the trip from A to Z, our driver was great, Shiv, the COO did a great job as well. Maddy did a great job planning the itinerary. The individual city guides were good as well.

Just returned to the UK after a truly fantastic tour of Ragasthan organised by Indian Excursions, where we visited Delhi, Agra, Ranthambhore, Jaipur and Udaipur. The arrangements, administration and co-ordination by Madeleine and Shiv was faultless, and Ranjit ,our driver, very effectively negotiated the hectic Indian roadways and made us feel really safe. We managed to visit all of the key landmarks accompanied by very knowledgeable guides, and particular highlight for us the first sighting of the Taj Mahal, walking through the back streets of Delhi, coming face to face with a Bengal Tiger in Ranthanbhore National Park, and the Elephant Ride up to the Amber Fort. We stayed in Oberoi Hotels along the way and we must say they are truly exceptional - from the accommodation to the food to the staff and service, We must particularly mention overlooking the Taj Mahal from the Oberoi Amarvilas, the Luxury tents in the Oberoi Vanyavilas and the Oberoi Udaivilas alongside Lake Pichola. A really big thank you to Madeleine and Shiv for organising a holiday of a lifetime
