Absolute nightmare to deal with! I recently bought a flat (in cash) and got Grayson's to do the background cheques for me before moving in and completing the purchase. They took around 5 months to do the simplest of checks but worst of all were impossible to contact. Anytime I rang the office I was hung up on and when me, my estate agent or building management company emailed we were waiting up to 4 weeks for a reply. This made life very difficult and frustrated everyone involved in the sale and in purchase of the property. They also charged me around £1300, what a joke and huge waste of time so please avoid using them as they ultimately cost me alot of time and money that some people may not have.

We inherited Graysons from my parents, who engaged them when they bought their property back in 1989. As my parents grew older, I accompanied them as they returned to arrange powers of attorney, the tenancy of the property, and new wills. When my father died, Graysons fulfilled their responsibilities satisfactorily, and more recently as my aged mother entered residential care, before she herself died, they were competent and professional in every way. It was only natural that as we ourselves grew older, it would be Graysons who we would engage to cater for all our needs, as they had done for my parents. Our most recent involvement has been with Alicia Mate, who upgraded our powers of attorney to the new and improved version, then later redrafted our wills to respond to a change in family circumstances. Don’t be misled by Alicia’s youthful appearance. I myself have a different legal background and I can say with confidence that she is highly competent and thoroughly professional. When we attended at their offices to sign our new wills, the discussion prompted us to request an additional amendment. Alicia simply left the room, redrafted the wills and returned minutes later with a smile for the process to be concluded. Alicia Mate represents all that is good about Graysons. We would not dream of going elsewhere and I am comfortable in recommending them to you.
