Pakistan | 05 June 2023Worst customer support. There is no phone number or live support available which makes it unreliable for business purposes. I have submitted a request on their support page and they don't give a s@!t about it. They just opened by email and they didn't have any time to respond to them. My email client shows that emails are opened. You should dedicate a full department for customer support. They took my money and restricted my account immediately after upgrading. I regret choosing Telnyx over you guys. Will shift to Telnyx if issue doesn't get's resolved.

United Kingdom | 18 May 2023I opened a Twilio account and had filled in all of my details, I was on the trial account and decided to put £20 onto the account, when the page refreshed I was instantly met by a page that my "account has been suspended to suspicious activity, please contact our fraud team". The "fraud team" has contacted me once with outreach asking questions, I have since filled the questions in but the responses seem to be unbelievably slow. It's been 6+ hours since I was suspended and not a word from the "Fraud Team" via email. I will definitely be switching to a competitor at this rate...

United States | 11 May 2023I heard the interview of Twilio's founder, Jeff Lawson, on the "How I Built This" podcast last month. That Mr. Lawson had built Twilio for small businesses to compete against larger companies inspired me to pitch Twilio to our team. After applying for a new account, our account was deactivated without an explanation despite my repeated requests for contact. I can only infer from the lack of explanation that Twilio no longer has an interest in supporting small business startups and is more interested in larger corporate profits. This is a shame but understandable. As a business grow, they often forget how they got there in the first place. There will be other competitors in this field and I will be using them instead of Twilio.

I paid them 20$ and after 3 hours, my account was banned and I should explain them why I'm using their services... Really?! You advertise your services, I pay you and then, I should explain why i deserve your services? I contacted my bank to cancel the payment, waiting for the rest...

Taiwan | 13 April 2023I want a long-term phone number for Twitter verification so as to avoid sim swap attacks. Twilio claimed that their phone number could be used to receive SMS (they would charge me a few cents), so I tried it. In fact, their system filtered out the SMS I wanted to receive and refused to help me solve the problem (assuming that I will violate their "Acceptable Use Policy" (AUP)). Therefore, I requested a full refund and wanted them to delete my account from their database. They only replied to the latter issue that I could delete my account on their platform but avoided answering the former (refund) issue. I have created a full refund ticket to Paypal. Avoid this company if you are not big enough to make them handle your requests.

Ireland | 04 April 2023If you're Hobbyist, or don't have a proper Business, Twilio will simply not activate your account.. or suspend your current account. They are advertising about "Free Plan", but if you're not a company, you test their products. Tech Support doesn't care about potential prospect. Company to strictly avoid. I will never recommend Twilio.

I was very excited about the possibilities, but I had no specific project in mind.After paying 20$ and upgrading my account, they suspended it, asking me all kinds of backward questions like what is my business, requiring me to send them emails from the server where my application is.After trying to answer their questions they replied:"After careful review, we will not be able to approve your account and unable to provide details regarding decisions made in the account review process. We apologize for any inconvenience caused." I understand that they are trying to protect themselves from spammers but I did not abuse the service. I did nothing wrong.They could also ask for my id or find other ways of detecting spammers. Very disappointed.

Germany | 19 March 2023I wanted to connect Twilio with Supabase to give let people log in with their Phone... I created an Account, verified my Email (worked), setup 2FA with phone (worked aswell), but when i needed to verify my number (which was already verified through the 2FA?) it failed. I tried it again 12h later and now i only get error messages. When im trying to access the service of verifying the Telephone-Number and in doing so i fail at this exact service... its like walking inside door-store to buy a door but you stand in front of a sturdy brick wall... And i couldnt find a way to reach a support or anything (because you need an account duh). There is only a contact formular for business reasons (and im just here to test it).... As far as i know they cant even provide theirown with a stable service so idk how they should be able to provide you with one
