This time last year we felt we would never get a mortgage due to historical issues on my credit report and my partner being self employed, although we earn ok we felt like the mortgage providers tight rules were working against us. Then we found Chartwell Funding and we have just spent Xmas and New Year in our new house! We had an introduction call with Kenny Burns and explained our circumstances and what we wanted. From the very start Kenny was friendly and relatable. He made us feel comfortable, normal and hopeful! Kenny gave us straight up feedback so that we knew what to expect. He went away and found a mortgage provider for us! We were so happy because of our set of circumstances we knew it would not be easy. We really wanted to security of going through a broker to help us feel confident with our application and we really felt we could trust Kenny to deal with everything for us. The first accepted offer we had was complicated due to the seller having rented solar panels, once again we spoke to Kenny and he looked into it for us and gave us feedback and advise on the way forward warning us of the good and the bad. This seller actually pulled out during the process just as our mortgage in principle was running out. We found the whole property searching and viewing and offering process very competitive and Kenny knew what we were going through. He worked so quickly to get us a new mortgage in principle which enabled us to put in a fast offer on the house we now have. This was in the same week that all the mortgage rates changed as well, so it was a very unsteady market and Kenny pulled it out the bag again! I wont go into every detail of the process but what I wanted to say was a huge Thankyou really. I truly believe without the support from Kenny at Chartwell we would not have the house that we now have. I asked so many questions and Kenny and Kerry both helped me every time with patience and friendliness. They have done more than get us a mortgage they have changed our lives for our family. I would 100% recommend Chartwell Funding based on my experience. During the mortgage process we were approached by other brokers trying to get us to move over to them with competitive deals, but there was no way we would move. We had built a working relationship with Kenny and Kerry and we wanted to see the process through with them. I cant thank Chris Bodenham enough for his honesty and guidance getting us to the point where we could apply for a remortgage. Our situation was complex and not ideal but he kept in touch over the last year to the point we secured a mortgage offer. We received a prompt follow up report with his recommendations which was clear and easy to understand. Kerry Jones then played a huge part in moving things along liaising with the mortgage company. Always quick to update me. Chris then helped me to find a suitable Solicitor and arranged a follow up to discuss our protection needs. That's all been agreed and in place ready to go once we complete. Yes, its been stressful and we have had to provide a lot of information but that was down to our situation and we are so thankful for the support. I would use Chartwell Funding again for either high street or specialist lending.

We were supported from start to finish by our advisor Kerry Jones and although we were probably rather to eager for constant updates she never left us feeling like no progress was being made. Highly recommended.
