as far as my experience goes, this is a really simple, straightforward way to park your money somewhere useful and profitable.

I am a recently new investor with Abundance as I have just been able to start a SIIP under the Abundance Pension. The establishment of the scheme managed by Gaudi was straight forward and clear. The opportunities and process for investment in Abundance projects has so far proved very positive, given my commitment to disinvest from Pensions which support fossil fuel industries and extraction. The staff have been exceedingly helpful and so it is a hearty 5 stars. Thank you.

Abundance is very easy to sign up to and use. They are a well established platform which supports green energy projects - thereby helping the world, while providing good, stable returns to us investors. They have been leaders in the initiative to enable such investments to become part of ISA or a SIPP and thanks to Abundance team's credibility, the government has now allowed that - so we can save tax free as well.

The process of setting up an account (an ISA in my case) works well and is straightforward enough. The website does a good job in enabling you to manage your investments. I would say it has no 'friction' to speak of. What it does have is some latency -- periods when you have money in your account, but no projects in which to invest it (which means the funds are 'idle' for this period, earning no return). Also I have (after 2.5 months) yet to receive any repayments, so I can't comment on how well that works. I appreciate these points 'go with the territory' of what Abundance is trying to do, and I'm happy to support them in doing this. But investors need to be aware of these (minor) downsides, I think.

The secondary market buyers need to be provided with access to the same set of information / documents as primary buyers (investment pack and repayment calculator in the first instance). Currently for the vast majority of projects the secondary market buyers cannot see repayment schedule while the latter is vital for making informed investment decisions.

The Abundance platform offers the opportunity to invest in a range of small-to-medium often community based renewable energy schemes. The returns are quite good (reflecting the risk that you might lose your money) and tax-free (in their ISA) but it is easy to diversify to mitigate the risk. The bulletin board provides a reasonable secondary market. It is all very simple and transparent. The website is gorgeous. One minor improvement I would suggest would be to provide an IRR on bulletin board bids.

Printing off the information used up a lot of paper. It was necessary in order for me to make an informed decision but it took up a lot more pages than was necessary. Pare it down guys!

Often, the response to 'Too good to be true?' is no, but Abundance kicks that theory. I don't even remember how I bumped into Abundance, but it certainly had me intrigued, when I came across it. I was looking for ways to boost my savings given the dire interest rates on 'traditional' savings options. The rates certainly made me sit up and take notice. Yes, it would be true to say I was nervous to begin with... Well when you're handing over money online, that takes a leap of faith, but that leap has been well worth it. The site is so easy to use, and explains everything to help you make your choices. I read another review where there was criticism of website issues, but I have to say that I haven't experienced any myself. I think the Bulletin Board is a wonderful option, giving you a chance to bid on investments already up and running and at various amounts to suit the individual investor. Also, to be able to sell or buy Bonds too, is surely something unique! I once had to contact Abundance regarding the transfer of funds out of Abundance, but the staff were very helpful and explained the process. Embarrassingly, the 'green' aspect of Abundance (investing in a greener world) didn't initially concern me, but the more I use Abundance and see the projects on offer, it does make you feel like you are making a decent contribution to that philosophy, whilst at the same time, benefiting from the investment which those traditional options don't provide. The only question still in my mind, is why on Earth does not more people get involved and 'see the light'! Perhaps Abundance need to raise their profile to reach a wider audience, but as for me, I'm very happy I took that leap of faith.

Initially I was nervous, but over time - I've had some investments in it from a while back now - I've never had any problems. It's a clever idea.

Abundance is the most trusted company that I have dealt with. They always keep you well informed on the new project's that are starting. The idea of starting an ISA for the investor to get interest on the investment is brilliant.

The website displays clearly projects open for investment and the signing up process is made easy online. The portfolio management feature means it is no bother having a range of projects and info for tax assessment purposes is well set out.

I have four different investments with Abundance which I have made over the last few years. The returns have been as promised. The staff are very helpful in sorting out queries about how to make investments and how to navigate around the website and your own portfolio. I can't praise them too highly.

Good to be able to talk to a real person in the Abundance Office instead of everything on-line. Am very disappointed at the - presumed - impact of the unbelievably negative attitude of the current Govt to increasing our onshore Renewables: silly (short-termism) comments from them re 'reducing subsidies' on renewables - they're LONG-term 'investments' in our future energy supplies! Be interesting to know what 'Abundance' has done/is doing to refute such Govt silliness, maybe by an occasional 'Round-Robin' e-mail A further suggestion I've recently made on the phone is that it's all very well having a 'market place' for Debentures that owners want to dispose of but as someone who'd like to take on more I don't want to have to go online every few days to see what's been offered: should be easy for the Office to alert those interested by an e-mail 'You may be interested in a Debenture valued at £xxxk on xxxx windfarm/solar project/whatever now seeking buyers ...' - John Davis

If you're looking for an ethical investment that gives good returns, this is the one for you. Easy to access and an investment in the future of the planet as well.
